I made an appointment for a tire repair. Scheduling and checking in went fine. I was called and advised my tire was not repairable because there was a nail close to the inner shoulder. I had seen the nail and it was in the tread towards the middle in the thickest part leaking slowly. When I questioned the person on the phone he said he would double check. He returned and said the nail was too close to the outer shoulder. When I questioned again he said he would check again. He returned saying yes not repairable. I told him never mind. It looked repairable to me so I would take it back to where I bought them earlier last year. I came in on Friday evening to order wheels and tires for our 2005 Dodge Ram with the plan to drive it to North Carolina the next Thursday. Caleb help me out at the counter and even though there were several customers and phone calls coming in, he took the time to make sure I was getting exactly what I needed for the job and never made me feel rushed. He found 33" Nitto Ridge Grapplers, paired with some very nice Pro Comp wheels. Since he knew my urgency to have everything complete on Thursday, he called the two supply warehouses directly and verified the wheels and tires would all ship and arrive in time. So, when Thursday morning came and I hadn't heard if everything was good to go, so I called the store to ask. The delivery had yet to occur, so I had to wait to know for sure until after noon, which would only leave us a few hours to get the job done and get me on the road to surprise my son with his graduation present. When the delivery truck arrived, all four tires were here, but only two of the wheels arrived. At this point, I was on the phone with Parker and feeling like there was little hope, but like Caleb a few days earlier, Parker was also super patient and understanding of my situation. He had to put me on hold, but I felt comfortable that he was doing anything and everything to find a solution for me. So, while I was on-hold Parker and Caleb were collaborating and much to my surprise, came back with a set of wheels that just happened to be in stock and the exact size I needed, and were actually better than the wheels I'd already picked out. I had the sales guy tell me he thought it was on the wall, and i would need to get all new tires. A few minutes later, the service guy came in and said he could repair it. Not long after, the sales guy was back telling me they couldnt repair it. I asked if he was talking about a different car, because the service guy said he could. The next thing I know, the service guy says, oh, yeah, I cant fix it. I decided they were sketch and left them. When my husband returned to town, he went to different place who actually said they could repair it. I have used various Discount Tires through the years all around the country. As such I have come to expect the high quality of service they have always provided. Well I'm a little disapointed with this location. I needed tires due to mine begining to seperate. The desk person, when I got there did great. They did not have my size so we researched and found a great tire that did not change my ride height and provided the performance I wanted. I weekend Autocross the car and he picked a tire that would beet my performance requirements. The car was ready when promised. Now the down side. Everyone of my rims was scrached and two had heavy dings and looked like they had wiped grease on them. I reported this to Chuck (mgr) who said we did not do that. I said fine, just give me the regional managers number and I'll call them. He then said "Well, sence you feel that stroung about it" he then looked at the rims again and said they would have them refinished, but they would need the car for at least a day. He never apologized or indicated he was sorry. If I had not asked for the regional number I believe he would have pushed me off. The next week they kept my car to fix the rims. They were under specific instruction to NOT DRIVE my car. Well they drove it and used 1/4 tank of gas. Also their fix was to have the rims painted THE WRONG COLOR!! There response was " well the body shop said this was the right color" They never even acknoledged by comment on why were they driving my car. I ended calling the regional office and complaining. 15min later a different person from the store called and said they had ordered new rims from the dealership for me. When I took the car in AGAIN to get the new rims on, ther was NEVER an apolige for anything. THere only comment was 'There must have been a misunderstanding. This was the worst Discount tire I have ever delt with PERIOD! read more

I absolutely loved my shop in LA so much that I was genuinely sad and almost worried when I moved away because who would take car of me and my tires?? Do NOT visit Miamisburg Discount Tire!! I have been a customer at Discount Tire in several states from the West Coast to the East Coast for more than a decade and I have always had exceptional service - which is why I always came back - until I moved to Dayton Ohio. I visited the Miamisburg ohio Discount Tire - I will not go back. I highly recommend going elsewhere. I had I bought my tires at this same discount tire a few months back and had a nail in one a couple months later, which they will plug for free. When I went in on a Tuesday just after 2:00 pm i was told my service would take 30 to 40 minutes. There was no one else in the store but one person -he was checking out. I watched 6 people come in after me, three, who I could tell were walk--ins not appointments, left before my car was even driven to service area. Although clearly the front of store was overstaffed, 4 or 5 guys, including a manager who wasn't doing much, no one ever once gave me an update or spoke to me to say that my simple plug would take twice as long as I had been told and ask if I needed to leave or come back another time. An hour and 15 -20 minutes later I noticed my car was just being driven to the back and I went up to complain- the guy said 15 more minutes... I said I could not wait that long. He was new and very nice and actually went out and did the plug himself- or else I would have been therefore than 2 hours... But it took 25 minutes not 15. The manager came up and instead of apologizing or even doing the plug himself.. Or commending his front office staff who did - he just made excuses, " that's how it goes, and it's not like you are paying for it, and sometimes it takes longer then estimate etc " - rude. Clearly NOT manager material - very poor customer service skills - any manager with a modicum of experience should have been able to turn this around. Bottom line: this location is poorly managed and poorly run, overstaffed up front and cannot properly communicate to customers or manage minor through put. If I had been a paying customer, It might not have taken 2 HOURS to get a tire plug- not free when you are missing work, is it? I've been in a very bust discount tire in San Diego with easily double the volume and two guys up front and was in and out for a plug... This place is Not worth a visit. read more

These guys are the best! My titre pressure was steadily going down while I was on 75, so I got off at the Dayton mall exit and googled tire stores. I went to tire discounters first, but I felt like they were trying to force me to buy something I did not need. I saw discount tires down the street and drove over. The sales person was very friendly and took it back to look get it looked at. Turns out my valve was leaking. They replaced it for free! I have been dealing with Discount tire for years, I have literally dropped thousands of dollars on custom rims and never had a problem until the other day. I bought a brand new set of 22in tires and rims in the winter of 2008/09 took them off and put them in a climate controlled storage off the ground and rotated them every yr. I recently took them out of storage and had Discount Tires put them on a brand new 2017 SUV. The tires literally on have less than 200 miles on them. While I was there I ordered TPMS for the rim/ Tires- Paid Cash. Waited a week and a half for the sensors to come in, I take my SUV back up there to have them put them on, only to encounter the most Disrespectful, Errogant employee to tell me they can't put them on cause they don't work on tires thats 10years or older. 1: they had no problem working on the tires and rims when they put them on 2 weeks ago and the guy inspected the tires then. 2: If you do the math it hadn't been 10 years. So what there telling me and BEWARE ( They sold me tires that was 2 Years Old). Sales person: (SCOTT WASHNAK) was the worst sales person I have EVER encountered in all the years going to Discount tire. All he was worried about was making another another sale on tires and what it would cost $2,500 minus tax. Not even trying to make it right or even saying something as simple as Sorry. What they didn't expect was to be caught selling old tires and it to come back on them. Then to add insult to injury, I paid cash for the sensors and he wouldn't refund me cash he refunded my credit card.... So with that being said they would much rather looses a customer that has dropped thousands of dollars and would continue to spend money there, than to rectify the situation. (Even though I was just about to purchase a new set of tires and wheel for my new maxima). Be very Leary of SCOTT A WASHNAK and his NON Customer service arrogant attitude.
