WTH?!?! I recently bought all weather tires from this store and I didn't write a review?!?! Well let me tell you I patronized Discount Tire in Henderson Nv so I stuck with them here in Riverton. My tires were in need to upgrading now that I live in Utah. The selection process was painless. They made recommendations, I asked questions and I ended going with something different than what the system recommended and Im super happy with the performance and the sense of confidence I have driving in rain and snow. I believe I got them on 1.05.23... yesterday I'm at work and wanted to go to lunch... my left rear tire was flat! What a pain. AAA found a nail stuck in the tire. it was late so I was nat able to get to the store before they closed so AAA filled the tire with air amd this morning the tire was not flat so I drove the short distance to my neighborhood Discount Tire and was in the service bay by 810am... they are fixing the tire for no charge! Best service and experience ever at a tire shop! I came in a week ago to get air put into my tires and the tech let me know that the reason for the low pressure was because I had a nail or something in my tire. I told him I'd make an appointment and come back in. I scheduled the appointment online which was so easy to do! The website is very user friendly and the process was really easy. I arrived for my appointment and was greeted right away and checked in right away. I was told the appointment would take about 45 minutes and they would keep me updated on the process. They sent a text message giving you a link to follow the progress on your repairs. I thought was super helpful! It's nice to know where they're at with the process rather than sitting and wondering. My appointment ended up only taking 30 minutes which was less than the time they quoted me, which is a nice surprise when dealing with car repairs! Also they were pretty busy so I was surprised how quickly they got done. The tech was very friendly and explained what they had done to my car and even showed me what was found in my tire. I will definitely be coming back here for all of my tire needs. Great customer service!! read more

I've been here multiple times and customer service is great. They helped me price match a cheaper price I found online in the past. On another visit, I bought their warranty and I had a flat that they couldn't repair so they got me new tires to replace them! I'd recommend the warranty. Today I came in with a flat repair and they had it Done in about 15 mins (too be fair they weren't too busy when I came in). had my dads car in we come here often to do a free flat repair and I get into the car it's completely flat the next day , when they gave me the car back yesterday they told me something was wrong with the tire and took almost two hours putting on the tire I was there until 6:45 at night. when I called Johnathan said if I bring it by in 5 minutes he will look at it. That phone call ended at 6:00 I arrived at 6:08 (with a flat tire) and the workers just looked at me when they were leaving in there cars and no johnathan I hope I don't injure anyone or myself driving home. My tires were about an hour late getting delivered (not the business's fault) and they were super apologetic and threw in free wiper blades and went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. Manager was super helpful and nice, also the best price I could find on these tires. read more

I asked upfront if they could they tell me if the tires needed balancing. They said they wouldn't know until after balancing the tires if it would fix the problem and hopefully balancing will fix the steering wheel from shaking. They said they thought it would. I took the chance and after $100 paying for them to balance my tires; on the drive home my steering wheel shakes even worse than before. Ugh. Hindsight I wish I wouldn't have paid to make something worse. Weird they are worse. C'est la vie. To be objective and fair I drive a Wrangler, Jeep JK 2007 with 100k miles and the ball joint may need a replacement, which is what I will attempt next to fix the issue. It's just frustrating to pay for something that didn't help. read more

Wife came in to buy tires last month. This morning we walk out to a flat tire. Looking at the tires it is one of the old ones.. they put three new ones on and left an old one. What kind of store does that to a woman??? Can you say safety hazard WTF. I like discount tire. But would warn anyone about coming to the Riverton location. Don't take your car to this Discount Tire location or any other!!! The service technicians broke my drive side window. They pulled it out of the bay with the front 2 windows down. Since they had take 4.5 hour to do my tires instead of the 2 they said I was in a hurry and jumped in a left with out looking over my car. About 1/4 miles from the store I rolled up my windows and found a spider break in the drive side window. I immediately called the store manger and reported it. He did not remember the car and had to look it up. Once he looked it up he told me he would put a claim in with his claims department and they would contact me. The claims depart contact me asked for pictures and what my auto class deductible was on my insurance. I have good insurance so it is $0. They then proceeded to tell me that their was no evidence that they had damaged my car and that I would have to run a claim against my insurance to get it replaced. He then proceed to offer to help cover the $0 deductible as a courtesy. The claim person Scott Mitchell told me that it was on me to prove that they had done it. The way the email was worded made me think that he was claiming that I was running a scam and proceeded to quote a policy that if it was not reported the employees at the store would terminated. I had to go back later in the evening to pick up my daughters truck and asked the employees why they would have my windows down when they pulled out. The employee proceeded to tell me that it was standard for them to do it. I then noticed that none of the other cars in the bay that where being worked on including my daughters truck had the windows down. (that made me even more suspicious) At this point this is really not about the money it is about the a company not taking responsibility for the damage that they did for my car. My advice to anyone going to discount tire is to take pictures of your car before you allow them to work on it so you don't get screwed. Or just go to a service center that treats their customer better and does business with a little m ore integrity. read more

I went to a different location in Salt Lake City and had to wait 2 hours for them to tell me that my tire was unfixable. They quoted me double the price then what I was given at the riverton location. I live in salt lake but I will definitely be making the drive to riverton every time I need to get new tires or fix a tire. With many places auto related, you read the reviews and you'll see a trend of real high rated and real low rated reviews. Well this establishment so far has nothing but 1 star or 5 star ratings - certainly an extreme example of this trend but one I fully understand. Many of us are very particular when it comes to our vehicles and maintenance, but also try to balance that with customer service and price. Our vehicles are one of the more major investments beyond houses, and we like to take care of them and know that work we ask to be done gets done and that we get good service since we're paying significant $ here for the work. For my car in particular, I have to say Discount has good prices for equivalent tires, a lot less than the dealership. They also actually seem to be able to do work without breaking lug nuts like certain dealerships (search my reviews - you'll see who) have on a number of occasions. I've been here 3 or 4 times, I've had the nonchalant close to zero service, I've had the wonderful service. But they have done the work just fine and quickly in most my experiences. I totally get (because I have the same feeling) the extreme reviews and myself I also mark tires and take pictures of lug nuts when getting service work done, no matter where. Not had an issue here yet from that perspective, but it does seem you just need to do that these days and be wary with any auto maintenance. It's sad that it's that way. Obviously not all of my prior criticism is directed at Discount Tires, more just a general observation of the auto maintenance business and dealerships in general, for me I'd love to find that place I can give a 5 star rating to - if I average my experiences with Discount I have to give it a 3. If the customer service had been better on a couple of occasions could even be a 4. However, now I have my new tires - we'll see how they do when I need rotation, follow up review may well follow! read more

Had a very pleasant experience dealing with this company. Their website first of all is so easy to use. I was able to select the type and brand of tires I needed and also schedule the appointment. When I arrived at the store I was greeted by very friendly reps despite being so busy. He went over the online order and confirmed the price. Checked the mileage and I was done checking in. I received a text message an hour later and my vehicle was done. Great service and good selections and prices here. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My last experience at Costco tires was horrible. They ignore you and they seem to enjoy it. Not here. They even hold the door for you. When the time comes, I am also bringing in my other vehicle here. Two thumbs way up! read more

I am continually amazed how poorly they can balance a tire. Wheel weights in multiple places around the rim, too lazy to match mount mount tires to reduce wheel weights required, too lazy to remove previous wheel weight adhesive causing wheel weights to come off at higher speeds, the list goes on and on. Then when you bring this up to the manager, he becomes argumentative and confrontational. Will be purchasing my tires elsewhere going forward. read more

I knew exactly what was wrong with my tires and my car and it took 25 minutes for them to fix it. I needed a valve core and a valve stem and a new valve and tire sensor replaced all one part 60$. Tire rotations, tires being pumped up and tires all inspected included. I walked in at about 12:20 was out at about 12:45. There were about 7 Technicians working, i got a receipt sent to my phone and a printed one and everything was explained to me. The sensor takes 24-48 hours to start showing that the tire was fixed so it will still show it is flat for a few days, but will then work properly. If that tire valve comes off again the valve and core are replaceable this time detachable from the sensor, unlike the previous one. It will only cost about 35$ next time. Other tires with the same damage, and valves for the same with the sensor are 60$. read more

Put 10,000 miles on a perfectly good tire these terds told me needed to be replaced.. this was on a Friday and they said the tire would be in on Monday.. almost a month later they called to let me know the tire was in; well clearly I don't need it if you told me It's not safe to drive on. Should have learned my lesson the first time when I went in for a nail removal. Picked up my car only to notice lube on the wrong tire which had no nail and the nail was still in the tire I brought it in for.. they corrected their mistake and then magically I had no valve stem covers on any tire. read more

So, Hubby, in an ill-advised attempt at giving DT yet another opportunity to prove how unsatisfactory the customer service here is, went back for a tire rotation, because "we purchased the tires there." That's it - just a simple rotation and balance...nothing more or less than their agreement for ongoing maintenance includes. This time, however, he decides he's going to mark the tires in their current positions to ensure that the rotation happens properly. This is because he's noticed uneven wear on our tires, despite his rigorous adherence to the rotation schedule. Yada yada, long story short, we pick up the car, take it home and check the tires. Lo and freaking behold, the tires have not moved from their former spots. Hubby believes the balance happened. I'm not sure why. He went back today with purpose, and spoke with Travis, the Manager at this location. After Hubby's explanation of what had taken place recently as well as the poor customer service leading up to our decision to never again return to DT, Travis nodded and claimed to understand. He thanked Hubby for speaking with him directly. And that was it. No attempts to correct any specific issues for us, nor discussion of plans to improve service overall, nor even any apology for the subpar level of service we experienced. Further evidence that customer neglect & indifference begins at the top. Employees will rarely go beyond management's example for customer service provisions. Just an informational update for those who also believe that an appropriate level of service should be part of any purchase. read more

I went to Discount Tires today to purchase a new set of wheels. I had recently been using Big O with mixed results. I was promptly helped and they were courteous and very good with explaining the different tires. I had a wheel lock on my car and had no idea where the key would be. They looked and couldn't find one. They happened to find a matching one in the back so they didn't have to break the locks off. Alex was awesome and let me keep it in my car for next time. They have a large glass window where you can see your vehicle. They will also occasionally treat you to impromptu singing which I found highly entertaining. They were very quick. I had the whole thing completed in roughly 45 min. read more

I called a few different tire stores to price out some specific tires that I wanted. I was given a quote by Discount Tire that with a rebate would have been about $20 cheaper than the next lowest store. Additionally, they had the tires in stock and were able to make an appointment for me that day so I didn't have to wait as first come first served basis at other locations. So far so good until I get to the store... The first thing that happened, was just the lack of acknowledgment by anyone while I waited. A simple, "we'll be with you in a minute" would be nice rather than 3 employees standing at computers ignoring my existence. When I finally do get service, the "out the door" quote I was given over the phone didn't include some sort of $5 per tire charge to check the tire pressure gauges. There goes the cost benefit of coming here. Plus I still have to sending in some paper work to get the refund to make it even with what Costco was charging. So to top it all off, I had made an appointment so that I could be in and out. Costco told me it would be about an hour forty if I just came in. Discount Tire said it would be 40 with an appointment. My car didn't get wheeled into their garage until 40 minutes after I had arrived on time for the appointment. I then took another 30 minutes. Basically, these guys could do a better job with customer service and coming through with what they tell you with price and time. I will not go here again. read more

I had to PAY for a mechanic to tell me that whoever touched my tires last FAILED TO PUT ONE OF THE LUG NUTS BACK ON MY TIRE AND THE OTHER THREE WERE EXTREMELY LOOSE!!!!! Great price on Tires, but they really push the fact that you can get your tires rotated and bounced free for life, or Free flat repaire. When Ive gone back for a Free rotation and Bounce there is always a 1-3 hour wait. I am sorry this is a deal spoiler for me mostly because I steal got work to pay for the tires that I bought from them in the first place. I had a nail in my tire the other Day and I was due for a Rotation so I stopped at this store only to find out they only had 3 Tire Techs working on this Day. I have been purchasing tires from Discount Tire since I was 16 years old. I have always had a good experience with Discount Tire. Recently I had to go in and get 4 new tires on my car. I was helped by a guy named Gabe. This visit changed my view on Discount Tire forever. I was treated so kindly and was given educated information about the tires I was going to purchase. I was nervous that I was going to spend an arm and a leg on tires. Gabe was able to communicate with me about what I wanted to spend on tires.
