I had stucco stuck to my car from a nearby construction site, and no regular car wash or DIY…read moresolvent was cutting it. I tried everything I could find and scrubbed like crazy, nothing worked. Enter Dr. Detail, and wow, what a difference. Booking was super easy, and they showed up exactly on time, literally 7:30 AM on the dot, just like they said. I even got updates so I knew exactly when to expect them. Even though I originally just needed the stucco removed, they went above and beyond and gave my whole car the full treatment, inside, outside, even under the hood. My engine was so clean you could eat off of it (not that I recommend it, but you could). My car's parked outside 24/7 and has some wear from sun and weather, but somehow Dr. Detail still managed to make it shine like new. I was seriously impressed. He was also super friendly, figured out a smart way to park on the street since we don't have a driveway, and was really considerate with the neighbors, he even made sure not to block trash cans. That level of care and attention really stood out. Overall, just a great experience, efficient, thoughtful, and really high quality work. Highly recommend!

I was able to track his location on the way to me, so I knew exactly when he would be at my house. I was able to pay and add a tip using the same system, which made it so easy. My car looks so nice! I don't think her rims have ever looked so good. The interior is spotless. I do a lot of hiking and kayaking, so you can imagine the amount of sand/dirt that was in the carpets. David got it all! And this was only their standard detailing. The cherry on top is that I didn't have to go anywhere, he came to me. He even spent 10 extra minutes making sure he got everything, instead of stopping at his proposed end time. It speaks to his excellent customer service. I look forward to seeing what he can do for my husbands car. He has tan interiors and the center console is bad, so we will be scheduling with David for a deeper clean. P.S. I took off a star because what I got was an excellent surface level cleaning of the inside of my car, but I would not consider it a full car detailing. They shampoo'd the seats and cleaned up everything very nicely but I've still been discovering pretty significant spots and splatters that they did not get. They also forgot to vacuum the backside of my third row seats. I have two young children so we have lots of food crumbs and random food spots pretty much everywhere inside the car. Some things require a little bit more scrubbing than others but I would've expected them to get those off because they were blatantly visible. For $125, I appreciate the level of vacuuming and wiping they did--I certainly would not want to take the time so do it myself. But I thought I was getting a full level inside detailing for that price...I guess you get what you pay for.

I have sort of special tires so I was pleased when she told me they had them available and for half the price of new. I arrived as soon as they opened and was out and on my way to work 30 minutes later. My tires cost $120 each new, but I paid $60 for a practically brand new Pirelli. My husband was proud of me. Tips: * Just pull around to the back and the office is right there. Don't bother parking in the front unless they're really busy and tell you to. *Bring some cash so you can tip the guys putting the tires on. * If you need a tattoo, ask the cashier. She's opening a tattoo shop in El Cajon!

The Good: Points for being fast. I replaced four tires and got wheel alignment for a little over…read moretwo hours. Some understanding during our communication when I pointed out a price discrepancy. The Bad: Nickel and diming. I've been going to Firestones since 1999 and every location I've gone to just applies all the active, applicable coupons. No games. It's why I've kept coming back even though the prices have steadily gone up (it's gone up to $270!). This location did not do that. I bought 4 destination tires, which has a coupon for a $70 discount. Because I spent over $600, another $100 was deducted. Because I bought the wheel alignment, there was a coupon for a $40 discount. Total discount: $210. Josh initially applied only a $40 discount to the tires. When I showed him the $70 coupon, he was about to say something but ended up just applying the the $70 coupon. He then indicated that he applied the extra $30 off. When I picked up the car, I was told I would get an email with the invoice and Josh indicated again that the extra $30 was applied. The following day I called for the invoice and saw the invoice only reflected $180 off. I called Firestone and spoke to someone who put me on hold for about 10 minutes then transferred me to Josh. When I pointed out the discrepancy, he stated that he applied the extra $30 discount by removing a TPMS Valve Kit charge, which was $30. There was no reference to this TPMS Valve Kit Charge on the invoice. I told him that this was not reflected anywhere on the invoice and asked how a customer would know that there was an accurate deduction when there was no reference to this charge that was removed and instead said a $180 discount was applied. When I asked why he applied the $40 coupon instead of the accurate $70 coupon, he did not have an answer and just said he would send a different invoice to show what he did. Josh then emailed a separate invoice that looked like it was made on the spot that applied two "PRT-DISC Customer Expectation Discount (Promise not met)" discounts totaling $140 and the TPMS Valve Kit Charge for $28 ($7 for each tire), which was not discounted and therefore made the invoice $30 higher. I thanked him for the explanation but noted it caused me to waste my time because he never explained what he was doing in the shop or on an invoice and I, instead, had to call because it looked like I had been cheated $30. He replied that he hoped he would get the benefit of the doubt that he was being honest and I responded that this isn't a reflection of my thoughts on his character but no one gets the benefit of the doubt. We're strangers making a transaction, this is why invoices exist. He then said he had to do it this way because could not apply the correct $70 coupon because he had already entered the $40 coupon in the system and that he went above and beyond for me. I explained he didn't do anything more than he was supposed to do: apply the applicable discounts and accurately process the transaction. If we're being 100% accurate, he didn't do these things or even explain what happened until I called, which is why I wasn't happy with the experience.

After a brief consultation at the shop, I went with their 3M Ceramic IR film - 15% for all sides, rear windows & sunroof and 35% front windshield. At first, I wanted to black out my front windshield. However, I occasionally have to place a handicap placard on my rear view mirror when transporting certain family members. Danny strongly recommended that I go with a light enough film to be still able to see the placard when displayed, obviously for legal reasons. Thanks Danny for the recommendation! Danny initially mentioned that it would take about 4 hrs but they got me out very quickly in just a couple. Lastly, at the completion, he made sure to let me know about little details like to not open my windows for the next 2 days to let the film settle and also that I may notice some streaking/air bubble-like appearances on the films which will ultimately disappear. (Putting my trust in Danny since these were quite noticeable as I left the shop. ) Great pricing with Lifetime warranty, too! Overall, I had a great experience from beginning to end. Super happy! THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS! AND LET ME TELL You WHY! Thank you to Bob, Brittany, LT and the entire team at Lloyd's collisions center! I came here on referral from a very reputable friend and competing body shop that could not handle the complexity to fix & repaint my Vintage 77' Datsun 280z. (The problem... Most shops lack the expertise and won't touch old cars with rust or fabrication work..) That was when I was introduced to Brittany and Bob and Lloyd's Collision center to save the day! Upon meeting Brittany and Bob they both treated me with high respect and professionalism. Educated me on the history of their family owned body shop, gave me full transparency, gave me a few timeline scenarios and then we exchanged keys and we were off to repairs! I was certain the car was in good hands! Then 1 week later... Then corona virus hit! Even though we were faced with an unprecedented time in history, with business closures, and social distancing in effect. Bob and Brittany made sure I was comfortable with all situations that may arise, allowed me to stay home and FaceTime, gave me frequent updates and pictures of my vehicle and kept me updated the entire way. I retired from USMC in 2000, shortly after that I purchased a 1995 Lexus. In 2002 I was involved in an accident and not having any repair facility to turn to, I heard from a neighbor of Lloyds Collision & Paint, in Santee. Since my car was not driveable, I called them and they arrainged for it to be towed to their locale. They took care of all the necesasary insurance paperwork for me as well as having a rental car delivered to me. My car was repaired inside of 2 weeks, not to mention actually being repainted better than it was prior to the incident. In the years since, I've unfortunately, been involved in a few more small fender benders. But in each and every instance, my car has been repaired and returned to me in a timely manner and in better condition than I could have expected. My experiences have been with Bob Sr., Bob Jr., Mike and other members of the staff. In each instance, I've found everyone of them professional in answering even the most insignificant question thoroughly and timely. At present, I'm having them perform extensive engine work done on my Mitsubishi 2004 Spyder. So far, the work has been done under the estimated price. In closing, let me state that Lloyds has always performed any work I requested or wanted done to a condition that I couldn't have possiblly expected not to mention, that it was finished under the estimate I was initially given. It would appear obvious from the above, I pass along HIGH MARKS for Lloyds Collision. But let me state something one generally finds in this trade, it's the fact that I consider Bob Lloyd a very dear friend who goes out of his way to help others, something I've witnessed time and time again. read more

I have been taking my car to Lloyds Collision Center for over 2 years now, I have a 2002 Honda S2000 and i get in my own share of dings and dents pretty regularly ! I have a few aftermarket pieces on my vehicle of high dollar and for the work and quality that I receive i wouldn't go anywhere else !!! From a complete paint job to repairing a front bumper damaged beyond repair Robert Sr, Robert Jr and Paint Specialist Mike Lloyd these guys are top notch ! It actually pains me to see the other reviews on this page about "oh my car didnt make it back on time blah blah blah... if you want your car to look like crap then go to Earl Scheib.. If you want a high Quality done right repair or restoration then go to Lloyds. People just dont understand how much time a quality job takes...With the world continuing to become more mechanized its expected but you cannot replicate true hands on skill and dedication !!! These guys do a trade with their bare hands you only wish you had the knowledge to do !! Have you not seen the entire business office full of thank yous from some of the nicest hot rods you have ever seen ? Even from the first time i took my car there in March of 09 for a complete paint job when these guys didnt know me from John Doe I was treated with camaraderie and respect. They have completed repairs and repaints on my car in timely manner every time i have took my car there ! 6+ times !!!!!!! In the end... I am so pleased with the outstanding hospitality, empathy and strong communication of this establishment by each and every individual. John was very thorough with each step it took to help bring my vehicle back to its original condition. My vehicle was being repaired through progressive which is not my insurance and we ran into a SNAFU, that put a halt on repairs, John was diligent and showed such a sense of urgency to fix the situation. He called me to advise me of the situation and assured me that he would help handle it. As I was frantic trying to find any information that could help, he had made attempt after attempt to assure it was resolved the same day it became an issue! We all know how insurance company's can be, with people and repair shops. Lloyd's repair shop and all its employees are stellar. Debbie NEW Quite by accident ( no pun intended) I ended up at Lloyds after an automobile accident in which a guy blew through a stop sign leaving me with a concussion that was undiagnosed immediately and no vehicle. Hayven was my angel who talked me thru the whole process giving me more information than either insurance company involved. She knew they would total the car before the insurance companies and gently hinted that would most likely be the case and why. Hayven's upbeat personality, professionalism, and knowledge of the insurance world saved me from a very low point as I was confused with a concussion. She went many steps further and helped with so much more than I have room to write. It's hard to find custom care service after Covid. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Lloyd's collision more than once. The first time I dealt with them it was through an insurance claim. They were very repsectful,and courteous, and kept in communication with me through the whole process to make sure that I was aware of the progress of my car. They treated me so well than when I need a body shop and unfortunately had to pay out of pocket. I took my car again to Lloyd's collision and was treated with the same respect. Car accidents can be very stressful, but they mad me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I also loved the mom and pop family feel of the place,and the way that the whole staff was. I have taken my car to Lloyd's a few times in the past for some auto repair needs, and they have done a GREAT job! They have made commitments to have the car repaired and back to me within a reasonable time frame, and they have ALWAYS come through on their commitments. I had called other auto shops to have my car serviced and they had given me the run around, not returning calls, but when i called and spoke with Robert Jr, he told me to drop my car off the same day i called and they would take care of it and i had my car back within 2 days. They had gone above and beyond what i had asked for. The customer service I recieved at Lloyd's was great, I will highly recommend Lloyd's to any one of my friends a family since this is one of the BEST Businesses in East County!! read more

My first experience with Lloyd's was to get some heavy scratches removed from the plastic bumper of a lease return. Don't tell them, but the $153.00 estimate seemed ridiculously low, so I jumped on it. They did an amazing job, and you could not tell those scratches were ever there. So I decided to take in my 2014 Camaro SS to get some dents fixed on the right rear fender (a plastic trash can attacked me). The bid was kind of high, but seemed reasonable, with the warranty and all. They did another fantastic job in only 2 days! The paint matching is perfect. They even washed and spray waxed the whole car, plus tire dressing. I think they even vacuumed the interior! Oh, and they gave me a ride to the car rental place. Great experience working with Lloyd's Collision and Paint. Mikey Lloyd painted my 09 Harley VRod, along with some minor body work. I only gave him some colors to match and some graphic ideas I had. Mikey took these ideas and made my bike a true masterpiece. His foresight and painting talent made it appear that he read my mind in what I wanted, I would not change a thing on this paint job! The price that I was quoted was what I paid. The entire Lloyd family works their and they all took interest in Mikey's work, they all wanted to make sure that I was happy with the finished product. I was involved in a accident where my 2016 Chevy Silverado sustained major damage. I was searching around on who would be the best company to service my needs, as I am a very meticulous person. Then by word of mouth I was given a company with the name of Lloyd's Collision. Later that week I had met with a gentleman Robert Lloyd. I set out on a mission to find the best paint and body shop to take care of my tired and worn out 2007 Chevy Silverado. After visiting a few shops I came across Lloyd's Auto Body and Restoration. After speaking with Vanessa it was obvious that I had found the right place. We started with a complete paint job. As things progressed I continued to realize other things that I wanted to replace. My passenger door handle broke and I needed it fixed ASAP. I called Lloyd's and they were friendly and got me right in. They did a quick free estimate and ordered the part right away. Their prices were great and they got me in two days later to repair it and did it so quickly while I waited. The place was clean and inviting and all of the staff was so professional, friendly, and personable. While I was there I asked them to fix a broken button on my back door hatch and they again gave me an estimate, ordered the part, and got me in two days later and fixed it quickly while I waited. I found Lloyd's body shop on yelp, and was really happy what people were saying. I purchased a brand new Ford focus ST, and the back quarter panel was hit. I was very picky where I would take my new car to, but after talking to Robert I was very happy and confident. My truck got hit a couple weeks before Thanksgiving, Lloyds promised me they would have it back to me for my annual Family Thanksgiving camp trip. Despite hold-ups from the insurance company Mike at Lloyds made sure I got my truck back on time and in good working order, the repair work is flawless. Wow... What a experience I had with my visit to Lloyd's auto repair. Had a accident hitting my house pulling out of carport pulling my rear bumper away from frame. Took it into them and this great estimator was able to push it back in and even rubbed out some house paint on it. I left with no charge and even come back next week to get it glued back with no charge. Love them for helping me out as short on money. read more

By the way, this is a second review despite it showing it linked to a review a few years back. Different trucks and different work. Needed my 2008 GX470's OEM front bumper reinstalled after the truck had been fitted with a custom off-road high clearance version. SSCP ordered the needed parts as items such as front bumper brackets and fasteners were forever lost. They even fabricated (at no additional cost) two small attachment points as portions of the truck were cut during the off-road bumper install. Truck looks great, they communicated the few deviations from a completely stock fit, specifically that the fender liners, due to oversized tires, could not be installed all the way at this time and the cut liners remain. These can be replaced and fit to stock should I go back to stock size wheels and tires. Car was delivered! Car was cleaned / detailed! Both unexpected perks when I first chose to have them do the work. Price was very fair given the ask and I recommend this shop for your car repair needs. Should this or one of my other cars/trucks need attention, I will not hesitate to contact them. Thank you SSCP.
