I came in at 12 on a Wednesday for a tire rotation and they weren't busy. Augustine came out and introduced himself as I was getting out of my car. He asked for my keys and offered for me to go in into the lobby which I appreciated. Shortly after he came over to discuss the wear of my tires, discussing replacing my luggage nuts and spare tire. He was friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy. After removing my tires Alan came in to let me know my front two tires were out of alignment and close to bald on the inside. He offered to show me the wear and they needed to be replaced. Fortunately they had my tires in stock and were able to get me taken care of today. Incredibly quick set of new Michelin tires installed, it was almost like a NASCAR pit stop. My appointment was for 9:30am and my car was on the lift at 9:15am, no typo, and I was on the road 15 minutes later with new OEM Michelin tires including balancing. Never seen anything like this in 50 years of buying tires. They also set the pressures exactly to my requested setting. Before buying tires anywhere though ALWAYS make sure that your new tires have been recently manufactured via the sidewall data, and that they have not set on the shelf for an extended period of time. Most car owners never even think of that. read more

My first day in the Woodlands and pummeled by quarter sized hail with no covered parking at my apartment and a flat. Gosh. I could only watch in pain as my car got pummeled as the angels up high passed their kidney stones down low. But at least I found a discount tire near by to fix my flat. When I drove in the staffer remarked what good shape my tires were in and could probably last another 10,000+ miles easy. But then they found that the nail was too close to the sidewall and required replacing the tire. When I said I wanted just one he said for safety reasons because of the shallow tread depth I should get two. Lol. What happened to how great shape my tires were? Totally sus. Tire base price then you have add ons. There's an optional $15.71 (per tire) for life of tire warranty which I usually never buy but I think I was still under the effects of the anesthesia from my hospital procedure that afternoon and agreed to it. Mandatory Installation fee is on top of the tire price ($23 per tire which also gets you free lifetime tire balancing and rotation but rotation is already always free so it's just balancing really that you're get) and mandatory old tire disposal fee $3.50 per tire. So it does add up as that's about 50% of the tire base price. But I was ok with it since I've been using this company since high school back in the 80's in Arizona and they always take care of my family with free flat repairs and rotations even on new cars like this one. I love this location! Came in this morning because one of my tires had a quarter size hole and the wheel was warped because I hit the worst pot hole ever so I needed it replaced. Ebenezer helped me out and he was awesome, very helpful, very fast, and worked with me to get me set up with what I needed. This unexpected bill was way cheaper than I expected and I'm super grateful. Ebenezer had previously helped me when I came in the past and originally purchased all 4 tires. He helped me pick what worked for me and my budget, he has always helped me get what I need and is super nice and very efficient. I absolutely can't say enough about how pleased I am every time I have the need to visit this Discount Tire location. I was there today, 3/14/26, for my appointment that I'd made the day before. I stopped in 3/13 and was greeted by an associate, Augustine, who addressed all my needs efficiently and was absolutely stellar. the customer service was servicing! I was amazed because it's lacking with many businesses today, but not Discount Tire and not Augustine! huzzah! there is hope for the world after all!. Today I showed up for my appointment. Augustine was busy but I was greeted by one of the other team members who took care of me promptly and politely as the day before. While I was waiting Augustine had a short moment and took it to come over and greet me by name. The only reason I still have them 3 stars is for ease and convenience of my appt and purchase of all 4 new all terrain tires for my truck. I asked to keep my old tires (for extra or to sell) and I've decided to sell them. Upon evaluating them prior to selling, found a tear in the edge of one of the tires from when they removed them from my truck. Now I can't sell them. Thanks guys - why even give them back to me if you're going to ruin them? Very inconvenient and inconsiderate. Poor quality on removal. I spent over $1600, the least y'all could do is ensure my original tires were intact or have the decency to inform me of the damage. I edited my review to 1 star. My prior vehicle I had to buy 4 brand new wheels and 2 tires after and when they replaced my tires they told me they stripped it (but didn't actually say stripped) and sent me to Midas. When I arrived there, everyone gave me wide eyes and were extremely surprised I drove and didn't tow it... my wheel was barely on. But discount gave me the impression it was safe. NOT OKAY. It does absolutely no good to set an appointment, pay in full for your order (over $1700), and show up early to make sure you're not holding this place up from other customers. They have NEVER gotten me in and out in under an hour and a half. The last two visits saw me waiting at least 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before they even pulled my truck into the shop. I work 6 days a week in construction, and I have to schedule such appointments on my only day off. It turns into a total lost day. I will use another tire shop going forward. read more

I came in to get my tire replaced. Isaiah the assistant a manger help me with a great deal for warranty on all my tires! And got my one tired(front left) fixed. Only thing is. When I was about to leave. I noticed my front right tire was really low on air. So I turned around and told Isaiah that it's reading really low and it's looking like it's low on air. He just dismissed me and told me his team checks the airs on the tire. Which really upset me because I am a women and just getting dismissed and not even wanting to come look and check on the problem. The amazing young man Adrian(the one who replaced my front left tire) came running(literally running) and asked if I was okay. I told him my problem and without a thought. He checked on my tire and found a small nail. And he offered to fix it for free! I really appreciated Adrian's help. I noticed how he was running around all morning. Helping his coworkers, especially going out of his way just to check on my right tire. I told him I didn't want to make a big deal since I just got dismissed but he insisted on checking the tire and fixing it for me. Saved me lots of money and my time. Adrian is amazing young man and I really appreciated him and his energy. If it wasn't for Adrian I would've had a poor experience. Next time I come. Had a tire with a nail in it so brought in the car to get it plugged. Tech noted the fronts were more worn then the rears so I asked to have them rotated. He tells me that he won't because it's more a a danger now even though both sets were still in the green. Ended up going somewhere else to get them rotated even though I bought these $800 per tire at discount. Should have got the rotation for free, but didn't want the argue with the tech. He then tried to sell me two new tires for $950 per...poor experience from a usually reliable shop. read more

DT just seems to be the way to go, when you go on road trips around the country, because they are easily accessible. But I'm done with them. This is the 3rd time on my wife's BMW, they have broken a stud or cross threaded the lug nuts. I left, on my way to Midas, so that my wife's front right tire had 5 lug nuts, instead of the four DT left on. Before I got out of the parking lot, loud grinding noise from left front tire. I go back in and have someone drive with me. He says, yeah, something is scraping on the caliper it sounds like. (It wasn't like that when I went in, VERY loud grinding noise) they determined that they out the weights in the wrong place and were scraping the caliper. Not really what I want to hear, on my wife's $72,000 BMW.they took the tire off removed weights, placed them where they should be. Then send me to Midas to get that repaired. Midas has to order the lug nut, so I have to go back another day to get that fixed and then go back to DT for them to rotate the tires. The guy at Midas was very helpful. He retreaded the rotor and put in a new lug it. I've heard great things about Costco tire service. I'm sure there's thousands of tire shops around the nation that I can get a rotation done. Good bye DT. Will be writing to corporate to explain horrible service at this location. They have also broken two studs on my truck. This tire rotation took, 10 min wait to get the car in DT, but I spent over 5.5 hours getting the tires rotated. read more

Came into discount tire just to get a screw hole plugged. Took 45 minutes for them to tell me it was unrepairable. I asked them to throw my spare on and to put the tire in the back of the truck. They tried to only give me my rim back and I had to ask for my tire which they had to "go find" got my tire back and confirmed it was mine. Then I proceeded to go 8 minutes up to the other discount tire on 45 and asked if they could plug the hole. This shop was also busy but had me in and out in 25 minutes and said there was no issue plugging the hole. I'm willing to bet salesperson Ebenezer from the 24915 I45 location was just trying to get a sale in but I would never bring my business to any shop who can't even plug a simple whole in a tire that I knew was repairable. Out of probably my 2 dozen visits to tire shops over the years for air leaks, replacement tires, etc, this was by far the best experience I've ever had. I was leaving my house to bring my daughter to swim when I'm route my TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) light came on. I checked my tires and discovered my rear right tire was flat, a screw went into the treads, probably from recent fence work at my house. Fortunately I had fix-a-flat. I used this to stay on track and get my daughter to her practice. I called and checked in with this store, they answered the log e quickly and let me know they'd see me even though I wouldn't make it until 5:50, 10 minutes before closing. As I pulled up I was immediately greeted by John Wayne who came out to greet me when he saw me pulling up. He had a great attitude and helped me immediately. I let him know I had a screw in my tire and pointed it out. He asked for the keys and didn't hammer me with other questions or for any other details and met me inside a moment later. I let him know I was on a time crunch and asked if there was any chance to complete the work so I could pick up my daughter timely or if I'd need to arrange alternate pick up. He told me they'd work on it immediately. I was out of there by 6:05 PM. They repaired my flat and inspected all my other tires, used my vehicle history for my cars details to record the transaction. When John Wayne came back in to let me know the service was complete he happily let me know that there would be no charge for the emergency repair. A team member from the back came out with my keys and with a positive attitude quickly handed them to me and wished me well. I got in my car and my lug key was placed front and center so I wouldn't lose it. What a phenomenal experience! read more
