Worst possible service and business model in regards to customer service. I had a noon appointment to rotate and repair two small tubes tires. I also had a trailer tire with a screw in it. I showed up at 10:30 hoping to get in early. Louis advised they were busy and I could run and errand and come back that there were several people waiting and also appointments about to arrive. He glanced at my tire for all of one second and said it could not be repaired due to loc of screw. His tact was lacking and dismissive.He advised that I could come back 10 mins before noon and get checked in. I stayed in the pk lot and came in at 11:30. I eventually got checked in by john at 11:50. I would say he had a much better approach and tact than Louis. The time on the screen said I'd be out by 1:15pm. I told him that's too long and that I needed to be out sooner. He said he would try to get me out by 1245. It's now 12:40 and nobody is working on my truck. Looks like if you come to discount with an appointment you should reserve half a day for service. Don't expect much. It may be better to spend a little more $ and go down the street where time is valued. Pathetic!!! I will say the employees work hard, but the business model stinks read more

Please be aware of this Discount Tire. The company portrays itself as a family oriented company. This is far from the truth. There is a supervisor (Adam) that verbally abuses employees and uses the n word frequently. When you complain to upper managemnet nothing is done. When the victim has had enough of the abuse and snaps they are immediately fired and Adam continues to work at this location with the same attitude. I recently went to the location in Tomball Texas (14239 FM-2920, Tomball, TX 77377) and was amazed at how well this location cared for everyone. They have quality people that go the extra mile to be the best, specifically Bryan. He handled the room with respect, organization and efficiency (both with his co-workers and Discount Tire Customers). I went in to get a tote rotation but actually needed a new tire! So disappointed. We own 3 vehicles 2 trailers and a Motorhome. My husband went to this store. Monday to rotate.all tires and bought 2 tires went good. Went back Tuesday spent 2,000 0n new tires for my car. Then went back on Wednesday to rotate 3rd vehicle . He sat there for over a hour. IF your buying tire the get right with you!!!!! After less than 5 minutes they were done. Driving home he was hearing something hitting truck. The weights they put on to balance were coming off and hitting the truck. We bought 7 Tires in one week. This place is always super busy so if you are wanting or expecting McDonald's drive thru service and speed this isn't the place for you. These people take the time to do the job thoroughly and properly so problems that arise from doing the job too fast don't spring up later. I always purchase the lifetime repair/replacement it's far too worth it. I have been most disappointed their siping machine has been dysfunctional both times I have purchased tires at this location. The first time I got sent to the store at 2920@kuykendahl. This time, which was just about 6 weeks ago, when I was told the machine was down again or still I was shown a set of Michelin that come siped and are siped to the tread. I paid a little more than I had originally budgeted but since driving on them I *ADORE* these tires! Today PROVED why I am a loyal customer to Discount Tire. We were on our way up to Cresson, TX pulling an RV when one of the tires blew out on hwy 99. It was a little past 6, and I called DT in hopes that they would take us in if we could manage to get the spare on and head there. I talked to a guy named Curtis and they were already cleaning and getting ready to head home, but he told me that he would wait for us to get there. We got to discount tire at around 7pm, and lo-and-behold, Curtis and some guys were still around and helped replace all of our tires. The customer service is incomparable to tire services. read more

Came in to get a tire checked for a leak. I had purchased 4 new tires from this location about 3 weeks earlier. They were backed up and it was a 2 hour wait. They took down my info and put me on the list. They even gave me a receipt of the worked that will be performed. They said I could come back in about an hour and a half to get the tire checked. Fast forward an hour and a half and I come in to drop off my keys. The sales person gets all my info again and tells me it's an hour and a half wait. I informed them I was already on the list. They looked it up and saw that my work has already been closed out for some reason. I told them I needed to be moved up because I had already been on the list. Sales person said there was nothing they could do. They went and asked management and they said the same. I would have to wait an hour and half. I left and went to another place and got checked in 30 minutes. read more

Made 1130 appointment at 12:30 I had to call them and tell them that no one has came out and inspected my tire yet, one and a half hour later I left because no one had came and done anything about my tire. I bought online and set an appointment. Just 40 min of my Saturday morning. A lot has changed since my last set of tires. I like the convenience of knowing they had it in their inventory. This wasn't even my closest Discount location but this location showed to have my selection in stock. Downside: I think that buying online messes with salesman's commission. My tire light had been on for a long time and I knew that I needed new tires all the way around, so I just assumed that that was why the light was on. I got my tax refund last year and I picked out some Pirelli's by myself and they ordered them for me and put them on later when they came in. I went in with my mom and we waited for them to get put on. One of the guys came out and told us that all 4 sensors were bad on the car and they had to replace them because they don't put on new tires if the sensors are broken. He said that the sensors would be free to us, though, so i guess we were fine with that. A few minutes later another guy came and said that actually the sensors are not free, but since we were told wrong, they would heavily discount them. I didn't like this because I didn't ask for the sensors/service and I wasn't told that this may be an issue that would come up. I really couldn't afford the sensors, either, I mean the only reason I could get the tires is because I got my tax refund. My mom didn't like it either, and to be honest, she can be a bit of a Karen. She was pretty harsh with the guy and I felt a little bad, but she thought that I was being taken advantage of and she knew I couldn't pay for them. The guy was obviously not happy about the way my mom talked to him, but he ended up not charging us for the sensors. However, when I left my tire light was still on. And it stayed on even until now. Now months later my boyfriend (who works at NTB) advised me that I should go back to Discount and tell them I have this problem. So he went with me and we talked to the same guy who my mom got mad at and yes he did remember us. So they took my car back and looked for some kind of nail or something that could've punctured my tire. They gave me my car back and said they did find a nail and they patched it, even though my boyfriend had just looked the tires over the day before and could fin no nail. Now I'm not saying my boyfriend is perfect, maybe they actually did find a nail. Well we drove the car around some and guess what the light is still on. So we took it back and told them the light is still on, so they did the thing where they reset the system and the light turned off, but only to turn back on a few days later. And yes! It's still on! I don't know if they don't care about my car because of how my mom treated them or if they just plain don't know what they're doing, but if they can't fix this light issue, I really don't trust them doing anything else....and if that guy my mom yelled at ever reads this, dude, I'm sorry, but you guys really should tell people about any hidden fees or extra spending they're gonna have to do! It's really just a safety issue though, like what if something is ever really wrong with my tire? I'll never know because the light is always on! read more

Wife drops by for a routine tire rotation and is told there is a screw in her tire ( of course too close to the sidewall to repair) and she ought to purchase $300.00 Pirelli`s for her granny mobile. She drives home less than a mile away and arrives with a Nice New Shiny screw in her tire with less than a mile on it. I could run over screws all day and highly unlikely to position One in such a perfectly destructive position. I warned my wife about going there as they Once refused to repair a car tire for me with a nail in it while insisting I purchase a New tire. I pulled in on a whim and even though they were packed, so busy, and there was a huge line, Bryan helped me figure out the issue and refill my tire. I've been a loyal discount tire customer for over 10 years, but my experience at the Tomball location has made me rethink that loyalty. I even waited a week to post this review to give myself a chance to forgive them, but to no avail. $1,200 worth of tires, and the worstest most horrible day ever. First, they tried to sell me a warranty that was EXACTLY the same as the warranty that the tires came with. Whatever, I'll chock this up to salesman gamesmanship. Second, I arrived at 10am to have said tires installed (I purchased these several days ahead of my arrival to ensure they would be ready), but did not leave this fine establishment until around 4pm. 6 hours. 6 long hours. It took them 1.5hrs to determine that they couldn't remove the wheel lock (which I told them days ahead of time that I did not have a key to. They had assured me this wouldn't be a problem), so I had to drive 30 min to the nearest dealer and have them removed and then back again. Then instead of queing me to the front, they placed me back at the end of the line. Thanks for that. The only name I can remember is Gary. So if you go here and a tall white guy named Gary is your sales associate, I'd recommend you ask for someone else. Or just go somewhere else altogether; there's an NTB right down the street, they can't possibly be any worse. read more

Quick service even when they messed up my appointment time. Very happy with how fast they had me out of here on a very busy weekday. Have you ever had a problem at a business and ended up happier AFTER the problem was handled than if the problem had never occurred? My wife got a tire on her van replaced and it didn't get balanced properly. Took it back and SCOTT took care of us with an unparalleled level of customer service. These guys are always top-notch. They were slammed this morning when I walked in, and every guy would greet the line of people as he walked by and assure them service was on its way. Matt, who I guess is the manager, was berated by an irate customer for about 10 minutes in the middle of it all, and he was polite, calm, and patient. I took my car for the tire pressure check and once I got the air the light went off however I was one of my rear tires had a tear and needed further examination. When I went inside I confirmed I had the warrantee plan, and I would not be paying for a different tire if they had to replace the tire and did not have the brand in stock. Sure enough I was told they could repair the tire and they did not have the brand in stock, after a 2 hour wait I had to travel on my spare tire to my original Discount Tire in the Galleria and was informed that the tire was in good condition and had to wait for them to reinstall the tire. Fantastic experience at Discount Tire - Again! I have been going to Discount tire in Cypress for many years for all of my vehicles' tires and have always received great service. I recently moved to Magnolia, TX and now the Tomball location is closer so I gave it a shot when I found a nail in my tire. They had a line of people waiting when I walked in the door and all bays were full; even so, I was talking to Scott within 5 mins and he got me in and out in half the time he quoted. Needed 2 new tires on the front of my truck. They refused to put them on the front, as I wanted. Said they had to put them on the back, and take the back ones and put them in front. Call me crazy, but I'm paying for these & if I want them mounted on the rear-view mirror, then that's where they go.
