NEW CAR OWNER TAKE PHOTOS OF RIM BEFORE REPLACEMENT. The employee who took me on initial was amazing and even remembered my phone call was super impressed. Even though tire came late he apologized kept me updated so didn't mind. However, once car was done. There was a chip on rim all the way to metal. There is scuff and all around tire as well as lube. The chip even aligned with the scuff and lube. They wanted to wipe clean but I took photo before they did. Called initial guy said no issue easy claim. Well came back he was on lunch and he needed manager anyways. Manager name is Jessie. Completely unprofessional. No customer service skills. Went in specific time and he took care of everyone but me 30mins later of said time. Tried to pass me off on one of the front people. Wasn't until I asked questions such as time frame and process he had no idea and talked to manager. Jessie finally looked at my rims even agree to my face rest are clean and odd only one has the chip and scuffs are not normal to give back to customer. Jessie Took photos and said they'll process it. Well I get a call turns out manager lied to my face and denied responsibility of the damage and said rock damage. So I had to go through longer process. Just ridiculous a new car with no other rim damage is trying to be passed as rock damage when it's so deep. If you're manager don't lie about process or your intent. I went to the location at 22nd and kolb I arrived around 12:00 p.m. I needed a flat repair I was told that it would take an hour and a half I would be done by 1:30 and also needed wiper blades they offered their wiper blades at $17 a piece I needed three I told them that that seemed a bit steep for what they were they told me they price match so I said since I had an hour and a half I would walk across the street and look at AutoZone and O'Reilly that we're close by I decided to go eat first there was a restaurant close as I sat there and ate I looked up on Amazon and found all three wiper blades multiple choices for a total of $20 not each for all three I thought wow they price match so when I was done eating which took about 40 minutes I arrived back at the store which would make it 12:40 12:45 I then attended to show him the price of the three windshield wipers for$20 they were more than happy to price match I explained to them that why would they try to charge that much money to me right off the bat and tell me that AutoZone and O'Reilly we're going to be more expensive but they price matched if I found a better deal when right off the bat I saved myself over $35 by not being taken advantage by them very misleading very unprofessional literally trying to rip me off I feel bad for elderly people that just don't know so then I looked out in the parking lot and I noticed my car had not been moved it is now going on 1:00 I asked again is my car going to be done at 1:30 they went on their computer and then change the time to 2:05 another 35 minutes on top of what they told me what could I do I was stuck in already in the middle of waiting once my vehicle was finally brought in somehow someway my rim ended up being damaged I know now to pre take pictures of my wheels before I go to discount they told me it probably happened from a pothole I told them that I did not have the rims longer than 8 months and I never hit a pothole I'm very careful with my vehicle but yet I could not prove that they did the damage it was quite odd that the bend lined up exactly with the tire valve hole dead center like they took a pry bar to get the tire off and bent it and then blamed it on the pothole trying to make me believe that I did it and I'm thinking they're upset because I caught them trying to rip me off but because I couldn't prove it I was stuck luckily I had an extra rim at home and I had to go home and get the rim and bring it back to have it installed because of the finagle it's going to warrant and the misdirection and the opportunity to try to rip me off happened I feel very uncomfortable I suggest anyone going to this store to take pre pictures of your vehicle before you take their advice thanks and have a good day read more

I recently checked into this location to get a tire service, specifically a tire rotation. I checked in at 8:30am and was told it would be ready no later that 11:15am. When I returned at 11:30am my vehicle was not ready and hadn't even been touched. I also noticed most of the vehicles that had checked in after I arrived were gone. I asked if my vehicle was forgotten, there was no response but literally within two minutes my vehicle was in the bay being serviced and ten minutes later I was out the door, service completed. Just sharing this event as a reality check to tempur expectations. I understand that my service today is not a money maker and puts no money into the company. In no world is a covered tire rotation the equivalent of other services that put hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on the ledger. It would be more palatable however if they just didn't make it so obvious. By no means am I saying that you shouldn't patronize this location. To the contrary this is one of the best. I went here this past Friday after making a reservation earlier in the week and was pleasantly surprised at the service I received. I guess I have low expectations when it comes to tire and car places (especially after Too Hot Motor- see that review) but this Discount Tire surpassed all expectations! First, the email reminder was great but the text reminders I have yet to ever receive from any car appointment I've ever had. When I got there I was able to quickly speak to an associate who walked me out to my car and reviewed the needs of my tires and concerns, explaining it in the detail. He was courteous and answered all of my questions. After that, he thoroughly reviewed the tire selections for my car and helped me to choose the best ones for my needs. It's Christmas Eve at about 11:45am & driving in the fast lane on the 1-10 E approaching Ruthrauff here in Tucson and BAM! My right rear tire went flat. Eased over to the right median thankful I didn't get hit! Called AAA and luckily, a tow truck was within 10 minutes of my location! So, being a long-time Discount Tire customer, I called my store on Ina/Shannon and, because it being Christmas Eve, they were scheduled to close at 1:00PM! Oh boy! Never go to Discount Tires close to closing time. If there's a problem, you really have a problem. I was getting a low-tire signal on the highway, which went away when I got on local streets. I went to Discount, where I've been buying tires for about 20 years, to get the tires checked. The young guy (on Oracle) said my front tires were not good, dry rot, low tread, etc. and offered to have me get an appointment right away. I had him show me what he was seeing, but I declined. Within the hour, I had someone from Discount Tires on the phone, offering me an appointment that day. I declined. I later made an appointment for a few days later at the 2800 W. Ina Road location. However, today, I had the same problem on the highway, so I checked, called and made an appointment for 5:15 pm. As always, there was a wait, even with an appointment. I bought two new tires, the old tires were rotated to the front and some $450 later, I was back on the road. Within 40 minutes and practically in sight of the store, the low-pressure light was back on. This time not on the highway. Of course, the store was closed by the time I returned. A few months ago, I had another Discount Tire store check the tire pressures before I went on a trip. At the time, the employee said I had about 20,000 miles left on the tires, but if I was planning a trip to the Phoenix area, about 240 miles round trip, I should definitely think about replacing the tires. The more I thought about this, the angrier I've gotten. What I take from this is: If you're a woman, especially an older one, you're viewed as ripe for the plucking/scaring. It's one that's needed however it does take forever to go through the line. I must've waited 45 minutes when I finally got up the young employee scan my thing in the car to get the PSI and proceeded to put air in my tires the tire gauge did not go off. I took it to an auto repair place that I know and come to find out that the wrong PSI was putting in my tires like 6 pounds less than what it should've been it didn't lose 6 pounds overnight so either the machine is broken. The employee doesn't know how to do its job or the employee is doing it purposely to make potential clients come into the store. Does that also mean they potentially gonna tell you you need tires? I've been a loyal customer of this store for the seven years I've resided in Tucson. In my opinion there's gotten from good to bad to worse. I stopped in yesterday and made an appointment for this morning. I was quoted the price for my tires and I was good. I came in about 15 minutes early checked in and then waited 48 minutes after my appointment time so that was the first pet peeve of mine to make an appointment. Honor it to help with the walkins. Second thing is each time I spoke with someone at the counter, make him more about the damn phone that they do the live person in front of them that really irks me Finally can't forget those hidden charges no sir. Seems like the two tires cost me almost $200 more than I was quoted because when they quote they just talk about the price of the rubber. I made an appointment to take my vehicle in at 12:15 PM. I dropped my car off at 12:05 PM and was told it would take about approximately an hour. That's reasonable. I'll go to the restaurant next-door. I then get a phone call from my wife saying that discount tire called me asking what tire they need to take a look at. I had already told the gentleman twice what tired to look at and if he wanted to see it, which was a no, and he still forgot. Now I gotta walk back over and let them know again. I told him what tire was and I said that's not the right number, he needs to call my phone number that the confirmation was sent to. Then about another hour and a half goes by I think something's gotta be wrong so I walk back over assuming that it's ready to find out that they didn't see the wheel lock sitting on the backseat and once again called my wife, even though the message confirmation was sent to my phone's text. So now I'm already approximately two hours in and he tells me it's gonna be about another hour to an hour and a half away. Unacceptable, peoples time is valuable. They may think even though this is a service, it doesn't matter. But I need about $1800 worth of tires soon, I always felt this was a good service to people and helps them buy tires from them which, I have in the past, but will not anymore. Good Year it is going forward. Pathetic customer service and they simply could have verified the phone number from the beginning again and asked for the wheel locks. I made an appointment, they said you never wait longer than 45-60 min.... When I gave them my keys they said it would be finished in Under 1 hour.. I have been buying tires here for 20 years... first time at this location and I picked them to use today because of the wait time I was told... I'm at 90 min waiting and still my car is not complete... after complaining and I hate complaining they are now taking my car back to do the tires.... Use discount tire, just don't use this location... or if you do don't believe the time they tell you... from my experience this store tells you shorter wait times to get you to come to this location... now it's discount tire so I'm sure once they get to me they will do a fine job... but it does make me wonder... read more

I ordered and paid for tires and made an appointment online to get them mounted. The night before the appointment Jesse called to tell me the tires I ordered didn't make it to the shop. He offered a different date but it didn't fit with my schedule. He then offered then to sell me upgraded tires for the same price, I agreed and set out the next morning for my appointment. When I arrived, there was a sign welcoming me in front of the building! Nice touch! Stacy came out and greeted me and took the car in right away. Absolutely amazing service! I'm a young college student with absolutely no knowledge on cars or tires for that matter. My tire had a nail in it. I put on the spare and drove it to this location. I got a response immediately, they met me outside to greet me, taught me important information on my vehicle and patched up the tire in MINUTES and didn't even charge me! Great store and service. BUT DO NOT GET THEIR CREDIT CARD WITH SYNCHRONY BANK. TERRIBLE BANK. They don't apply the payments correctly for differed interest promotional purchases. Thankfully I was able to pay mine in full after they didn't apply my payment correctly, and they tried to say it was late. I paid it 3 weeks prior to the due date. I am never late on my payments and have exceptional credit. I waited an hour on the phone for a supervisor and was only able to talk to one via the chat on their website. They have fixed it, (I hope) but have already reported a late payment to the credit agencies. Which they say they are repairing. Could take 60 days. NONE of my other credit cards have handled an account the way this bank has. My payments post fine. I will NEVER USE that card for my tire purchases again or recommend it to another consumer. Had an appointment to get my tires rotated and balanced. They were very busy and only had one person at the counter. Stacy who I believe is the manager recognized everyone coming through the door and advised he would help them as soon as possible. He was very thougrough explaining the product and procedure to each customer. When an irate customer came in he was able to defuse the situation and still make the customer happy eventhough the problem was from another discount tire store. I also saw him take care of his employees by getting them ice for thier drinks on a hot AZ summer day. He also thanked and recognized each employee on the good job they were doing while being short staffed. read more

I ordered on their website which suggests the tires for your car. I scheduled install and the store calls in the morning to remind me of the appointment.
