Had 4 tires put on by these people. They plugged a tire that already had 3 plugs. Obviously it didn't last much longer. They could have told me about it but they didn't mention it. I felt so bad because it the guy in the back doing the work looked super old and could barely lift the tires on to their machines. They do have good prices for balancing tires but they don't put the weights on correctly. When I went to discount tire after this they explained to me where the weights are supposed to go. AMAZING customer service. A u of a mother recommended this place so I came when my tire would not stay full of air after repeatedly filling it up. I am a young female college student so I don't know much about cars and stereotypically workers at places like this upsell girls who come in alone. I called the shop with my problem and the owner Antonio told me to come in 30 minutes which was great to hear, I walked in saying that I need to buy a whole new tire. After looking at my tire Antonio brought me back and showed me that there was a nail in my tire, he also told me my car is leaking oil and I need to get that checked out which I did not know. I feel that any other shop would have taken my money and just sold me a new tire which would cost be hundreds. Antonio only charged me $35 when if I went somewhere else it would have been way more. This is definitely the place I will always go and recommend 1000000%!!!! read more

Driving back to Texas after visiting family in Tucson we found we needed to quickly replace it before hitting the highway. Discount Tire offered to have one delivered and installed before the end of the day. Called Pro Tire and they said they have the size we need in stock and could have us in and out in a half hour. Called a few more shops and they had the best price and timely delivery. Called back to set up appointment and a few days later I went in and had my tires changed in just a short time. Don't waste your time and money trying to get an alignment that mechanic my van was in and out the first visit in 10 minutes and it was still pulling to the right he suggested that I go to Murrells and buy a part which I did and it still came out where it was pulling to the right the same amount the mechanic's name was George I wasted $140 to this day 8 months later it's still pulling to the right. They took care of the tire and balanced everything. They do other automotive care as well and they carry both used and new tires. Manny checked it for leaks instead and advised me I did not need to spend the money to replace it. Unheard of! Okay where do I start...about a month ago my husband was in need of a used tire no one in town had his size except this place. We were there for about an hour just to put one used tire on our car. When my husband met the man to get his keys the man that handed over his car said to my husband..."you should keep an eye on this one" weird right? Wellabout a month later the tire started to go flat so we took it to the trusty R&G tire and wheel here in Tucson to see what was wrong with it. The tire had been patched with a plug ! Which was causing the leak. Oh and get this the damn tire was mounted and balanced BACKWARDS! Yea whomever put the tire on at Pro Tires not only knew they were giving us a bad tire they didn't even put the tire on the right way. Needless to say we will never bring our businesses back and I will be sure to let anyone who will listen know what crooks this place is. read more

These guys are pretty great. I constantly have car problems, so that means a lot of visits to repair and tire shops. My experiences are never good and I always feel leaving like I was cheated. If I could give this place a 0 I would. The workers are untrustworthy and I am very dissatisfied at what they attempted to do. I come in to buy a used tire and when they begin to change my tire they try to tell me that a nut was stripped and they would have to break it. I kept telling the person serving me I was gonna take it to a different shop and get a second opinion and he kept pushing me to stay, telling me "oh they'll tell you the same thing they'll have to break it, you can drive with one lug nut missing for the day and you'll just have to go somewhere else and get it changed tomorrow." This guy had the nerve to try to tell me to drive my Nissan Altima with one lug missing on my car. I leave because I didn't trust these scums, when I went out to the south side to get a second opinion, the gentleman who changed my tired popped it right off with no problem. This guy tried to pull a fast one on me because I'm a tourist from California and I must warn anyone who goes here to pay attention and be careful with anything they work on your car. I believe they were attempting to break it themselves or they simply are bad at their jobs. I am so angry at their service and will never ever come back. read more

I went here because they are local and not a big chain. Owner and the others there, put a tire on my hybrid Toyota Prius that is completely inappropriate for a Prius. NanKang (Chinese). They (ProTires) are suppose to be the experts, they should know the appropriate tire for the car and this tire is not. My hybrid Prius went from 44mpg to 33mpg. They pretty much ruined the whole reason for a Prius - fuel economy. My job is my car, so I am now spending a lot of money on gas. They have zero - no - policy on customer satisfaction even when -they-, the experts, put a completely inappropriate tire on a hybrid like a Prius. The bigger tire chains at least have policies that they will replace a tire if it drastically effects your mileage or you have other problems with it. After doing hours and days of research calling and going online (Tirerack, Falken, Bridgestone, local American Tire Distritbutors, Discount Tire, Pep Boys, Prius dealers) I found several correct tires for the Prius with low rolling resistance, crucial to hybrids. After this inappropriate tire was installed, I found out ProTire had some of these in stock. So, I asked the ower/manager if he would simply put the appropriate tire on - I would pay the difference. I had already done all the research and spent a fortune on gas now. First answer was just 'No,' I said I was going to complain online - I wrangled some more- how unprofessional! Then, he said he would do it (take off the Nankang and replace with appropriate brand - I would pay the difference minus $25. I am turning that "offer" down - I run my own business, I would never behave like this. 2nd issue: I told the manager/owner, also: you should always tell the customer if the tire you are going to replace is a different brand then the one on there - then let the customer decide. Silence was the response. This is true according all the tire gurus - if possible, always replace the bad tire with the same brand as well as size/speed rating). Sadly, many places will just ask you the size and stick on any tire - and that's all. But other places do have some policies in place if the tire is problematic. How do you run an ethical business with no product/service warranties at all except life of tire? Beware Prius and hybrid owners - tires are essential to the mileage. read more
