This five star review is for the Discount on W Ina Road. My one star for North Oracle stands. I've previously never had issues with Discount until my dealings with the manager at the North Oracle location which earned them one star. After I walked out of the North Oracle shop I drove over to the west Ina location and talked to Lenny the manager. He was able to resolve the issue immediately, unlike the month plus that the Manager at North Oracle failed to do so and was very professional. This is third time we've done this and it seems to make no difference if you have an appointment. We love Discount Tire as they always take care, but we will not visit this location again. Ronny, the assistant manager at the Oracle location, was GREAT! I had a couple different questions but especially had a problem with my newly installed windshield wipers. Purchased four new tires for 2019 vehicle. Price was comparable to Big O Tires and they were in stock. Tires were installed that same day. Receipt was to be emailed but never arrived. (Was told today by different associate that their email system doesn't work well. He tried again today but...nothing...so I have to go back to get the paperwork...) Picking up vehicle: My four metal valve caps got lost in the switch and instead I found only three plastic replacements. This is a top-notch outfit! Stopped in today to get my tires rotated. They noticed my wiper blades were worn and one was even actually falling apart. They offered to put a new pair on. When I balked a little at the price, I was told if I found a lower priced pair online, they'd match it, which they did with a smile! I believe I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I can't say enough good things about it. I think the young man who assisted me was named Lane. Courteous, knowledgeable, accommodating and all with a smile. What more could you want? Very shady experience, my tires are 2 years old. I came in to have a nail removed that is located in the center of the tread and plug the hole. The 1st rep looks at all my tires and asks me probing questions on how I use my vehicle, this is obviously to get info to use to attempt to sell me which he does when we go back inside. He says all my tires should be replaced, I decline and say I just want the repair, then he tries again with Labor Day weekend savings sales pitch...I decline again and ask for the repair. He begrudgingly accepts this and my vehicle goes into the bay for the repair. A few minutes later a new rep approaches me and says "we care about your safety and that tire is too dangerous, so you will have to replace it" wow these guys will stop at nothing to get a sale. I tell him actually all my tires are still under warranty with Ford and I only came here to Discount Tire to plug the hole because I live close by. I tell him I will go to Ford now to take care of this and I will be making contact with their district manager about this shady experience. This rep walks away and a few minutes later the store manager Anthony approaches and says he put a new tire on at no charge, I didn't want or ask for that. this seems obvious that once they tried to strong arm me to make a purchase by claiming that tire was dangerous they had no other way out. Had a flat tire and went for a repair. The rep told me that it had a small nail and they will not be able to repair it. The option I was given was to replace all of the 4 tires. What was surprising was when asked why 4 tires needs replacement I was told becoz it's an AWD car, all 4 tires needs replacement. Beware ..,this place is rip off. John explained everything got my desired wheels to the location, from another location, within an hour. And, made sure my car went into the auto bay with no delay. New tires installed at closing Thursday night. Friday morning one of the new tires was low. Today is my day off (Saturday). I drove over and the expected tire pressure of 35 lbs was down to 5 lbs. Now they're telling me I have to wait until there's an open appointment block. "It'll be an hour." They won't add air so I can complete my errands, saying once below 15 lbs they can't air up a tire. I cannot leave and must wait until they can fit me in. I've been using Discount Tires for years and am probably going to use Costco from now on. Very Disappointed!!! read more

Made an appointment almost a week out to have a brand new tire mounted on car. Got there at 10 am, checked in and was told it would take an hour, which seemed a little extravagant. But I waited about 45 minutes and then went up and asked if they were about done. They had not even pulled my car into the bay. I waited another 15 minutes before it was pulled into the bay to get the tire changed. It took a half hour to put on a brand new tire. finally Left my 10 am appointment at 11:30 with nothing more than sorry about that. Terrible service. I normally am pretty pleased with Discount Tire, but am chafing a bit after waiting here for 3 hours--after being told the new tires would be hoisted on and I'd be on my way in 2 and a half hours, at the worse. I hate to have to spend the better part of a day to get a new set of tires put on. I'm not asking for, "Nascar fast", but this is asking a lot of patience from the customer. I'm giving this location 2 stars due to salesman and installer incompetence. I've actually been coming to this location for several years now, but out of the 6 times or so I've bought tires here, I've only had two good experiences. At this location, I've had installers forget to torque down my lug nuts, resulting in me having to pull over while working after picking my car up from having new tires installed. I had my vehicle towed home due to weird noises coming from my wheel area. After inspecting my car once I got home, I noticed two lug nuts were missing, and two other were almost backed out. I did contact Discount Tire about this, but they questioned how that happened, and almost didn't want to help me out. In the end, I got new lug nuts for free from them, but this incident put me out of a $200 work day, along with a $130 tow charge! Upsetting at the least. My most recent experience here was with the salesman. I had two tires delivered to them after purchase. They arrived. The salesman inspected my car. The two tires that have the least tread are the rears, and the salesman insisted I replaced the fronts. I told him no, I would like my tears replaced as they are worn more than the front, and also have leaks due to several nails in them. He still tried to "sale" me on the idea that the fronts should be replaced. Look, I know my car more than you! Stop telling me what you want me to do and listen to me when I say what I want done!! Salesman seemed to be in a hectic mood and all over the place, hence why he wasn't listening to me. I just don't feel confident in this location for them to care about my car more than do a sale. Other locations have been excellent. This one not so much. But it's the closest one to my home, which I why I continue to be dumb and come back here. I don't recommend this location, but I do recommend Discount Tire company. read more

Discount Tire is pretty much THE place to go for all your tire needs, but I was especially impressed with the service at this location. First off, if you aren't having a tire emergency and can do so, make an appointment online or on the phone. They get very busy and that will save you a ton of time. I started off my Wednesday morning with a flat tire. I knew my tires were aging and would need replacing soon and I had apparently let my fronts go too long, so I pulled into this location before they opened and signed in online using the QR code they had posted on the door. So even though there was a line of people waiting outside when they opened at 8, I was served first. My vehicle was inspected right away and the technician let me know my front tires were toast and my rears would need replacement soon as well. I decided to bite the bullet on a set of four and got $110 off a set of Michelins, so it was not as expensive as I was anticipating. I was out the door in 24 minutes with four new tires. Later in the day, I noticed a noise coming from my driver's side front tire, so I returned to the same location, making an appointment online, which greatly reduced my wait time as they were incredibly busy. The technician discovered a piece of my old tire that was wrapped up in there and removed it. They also discovered a grease leak when they removed the tire, which they couldn't diagnose (as they aren't auto mechanics), but had they not noticed that, I would've continued driving a car with a cracked CV boot, which could've caused me more trouble later. read more

After having ordered 4 new tires with a scheduled install within a couple of days, our Volvo ended up with an unrepairable flat. Drew and Troy went Above and Beyond and managed to get my son squared away and off to school/work sooner than anticipated, within a couple of hours. Kudos to Drew and Troy. They were Outstanding! I've used other discount tire locations as my go-to for many years, but it seems this one lacks honesty. In the tire pressure check, the employee told me my front tires are getting dangerously worn around a level 4-5. A few months after that, I brought my car to the dealership and they told me my front tires are a 6 (a few months later!). They are obviously just telling you a false lower number so you can buy new tires sooner. read more
