Rude/condescending! I'm a female and was treated like an idiot! Won't be back! What they said on the phone was not correct!

I have been a customer of Discount Tires for many years. They have good prices but what I like best about them is that they really know what they are doing. My tires are always mounted and balanced correctly the first time. I also really appreciate their free flat repair. I had nails in both of the rear tires and they fixed them absolutely free. The only problem with this location is they are probably a little too good because they are always so busy. I had to make an appointment two days ahead to get my tires repaired. The same thing when I put new tires on my Camry. I had to make an appointment a day ahead to get my tires installed. They do have a nice online ap that helped with my purchase. I can't recommend this business enough, they are the best at what they do. read more

Every time I have gone to Discount Tire, I have had the BEST service! They are professional, quick and extremely helpful and honest. I know we are always in good hands when we go in! I went in last night right before it closed to try and leave it for the next morning to fix a nail in a tire (that the dealership has said was unrepairable) and they instead had it repaired and back on our way in less than 20 minutes!! Traveling through Utah with the family, got to our destination and realized that the trailer tires were separated. Made an appointment with this Discount tire for trailer tire replacement on our way home. Showed up an hour before our appointment time, and was taken care of almost immediately!! Long story short they installed 4 tires test drove my car afterward somewhere along the way My motor mounts where destroyed and my tires where not properly balanced, bad shake at freeway speeds. I posted a lengthy in deep review once before and they had it removed. What does that tell you. I would go somewhere else. read more

Super busy. I do like their products and almost always buy from them. I like that they offer a discount on tires that didn't last as long as predicted. A piece of advice...phone calls are important, but customers in line in front of you are troubled when you take too long on a call. Maybe you need a person who is out of view who answers the phone. Discount tire rocks! I've dealt with two different discount tire locations on 5 different occasions now and have only ever had a great experience. I needed 4 new tires on my car for a road trip later today. Two big box stores were happy to order my tires in as neither one had a single brand of the size I needed in stock. My car is a very common make 4 door sedan. I called this Discount Tire as I was driving there. They had 3 brands of the size tire I needed in stock. Cameron was awesome to explain the differences in the three brands. Literally less than 7 minutes from the moment I walked in their door the old tires were coming off my car with the exact size new tires I needed being put on! Awesome service. Awful and young was very junk! On yesterday, I went to Discount Tires for my husband's truck. I asked them what I wanted them to do for replace the two rear tires on the front of rotate the tires, and check the alignment. I paid for that totally $466.25. I still waiting when they were finished with my truck almost an hour but I noticed four people chatted without focus on their job. I was very upset with them because I need to go to school at 10am. I decided I told them I will come back after school. They said ok, whatever. I hurried to school. An hour later, I drove back to discount tires place again. I talked to young man who he did two rear tires for my truck. 5 minutes later, I saw him to chatted with one employee without focusing on my truck again. I was shocked and that wasn't ok. However, 15 minutes later, he finished fixed my truck. I noticed that was not the two rear tires on the front wheel not back wheel yet. I tried to tell him. I needed him to fix it try again the new two rear tires move to the front of the wheel and old rear tires need moved to back wheel. I asked him if did he checking my truck with alignment and everything make sure for safety. But he was mocked on me and he wouldn't do it again because he didn't want it or he didn't care about his customers! OH, COME ON!!!!!! He wasn't professional enough for his heckler job! My husband and I were very upset with him and his team at discount tires. Because I felt hurt because I am deaf person! My husband and I don't like waste our money! THEY ARE A RIP OFF! My 17 yr old daughter had a slow leak in her tire, so she stopped by there. The guy told her he couldn't find anything on the outside and that it was probably inside the tire so that she needed to buy a new tire. First of all they are like new tires and all they were doing was trying to take advantage of her. She called me and I took her to my tire guy, pulled it off, found the screw, patched it and good to go. That is such poor business practices. They are just too busy. Made an appointment for rotation and balancing and still waited over two hours. They gave good service when I'm buying something but after the sale, not good service. Will spend a little more and get great service even after the initial sale. Won't buy from them again. Costco gives great service. read more

Went to discount tires this morning & talk to sales rep Mark, he said that they were completely busy today, but come back at 5pm and maybe they'll be able to get me in. I asked to set up appointment he wouldn't set me up an appointment. so I went down the big O tires on Saint George Boulevard, not only did they beat the quote that Discount gave me they were able to get me in an hour. read more

HELP! We are from out of town and dropped our car off for a new tire. They said it would be done at 5. We called at 4 and said we couldn't come until 5:30 and they SPECIFICALLY agreed to leave the keys in the car so we could pick it up after hours. We arrived and the car was unlocked with no keys inside!!! We need to leave town tomorrow and can't access our car! This is so frustrating. read more

We were stranded in St George, Utah, trying to fix a tire on our rental car. We needed to make it to Vegas in time to catch a flight home and we were running out of time. This was our third tire shop btw. Mitch Gubler and his crew quoted us 2 hour wait time for the tire change. We walked across the parking lot to a coffee shop to wait. While out and about we managed to get a screw in one of our tires. I pulled up yelp to find the nearest Discount Tire since we have the road hazard warranty with them. Upon pulling into the parking lot I noticed they were very busy. There was a car in every bay and the parking lot was full. Brandon came right out to assist us. After pulling up my information, Brandon said it would be about an hour until my car was ready. We went next door to Red Robin to grab a bite to eat and kill time. As we walked back over to Discount Tire, I noticed my car in the farthest corner parking spot, with a huge white truck next to it. I walked to several areas of the parking lot to see if my car was visible to the employees and it wasn't. The drivers side window was left down and my car was unlocked. SAY WHAT? Look, I don't mind that my car was in a far corner spot, but don't put it there next a huge truck and leave my car unlocked with the windows rolled down for anybody to help themselves to what is in my car. Nothing in my car is "stock" and even if it weren't you don't treat other peoples property like that. I let them know I wasn't so happy about it and I was simply told "don't worry we take full responsibility for what happens to your vehicle while here with us"...... I personally feel that still doesn't entitle you to be intentionally careless. With that said, the car was ready when promised and didn't cost a dime because of the roadside hazard warranty. Just because you have a warranty doesn't mean you can be rude and not tip the employees. Be a true lady or gent and tip whoever helps you. Having this happen while out of town, I was thankful to be able to come to Discount Tire and get the tire fixed to safely get back out on the road. read more

Good tire store. Been going here for years. Good prices and no pressure sales. The biggest downside is that they are ALWAYS busy, so the best time to go is early in the morning or weekdays mid day. I love how they remind me by email when it is time to rotate my tires because I always put it off too long unless I have a reminder. Their low end tires have always lasted as long as higher end tires I've purchased before, so I'm never afraid to go cheap when I need to. Great place. read more

We were in St George on vacation and punctured a tire purchased just 3 days earlier in Mesa AZ. Your staff did not have the matching tire and instead installed a used tire at no cost to allow us to continue our trip. We were able to return to the Mesa dealership for a full refund. I only got a little over 20,000 miles on a 60,000 miles warranty on 4 Michelin AT tires that I bought at Discount. They, however, gave me a decent credit. So last week, I then bought 4 new tires which, after riding on them, I determined that they were really not compatible with my truck ( 2007 Silverado Classic). After bringing them in for balancing, I was still not happy with the way they handled at high speeds. I had them for over a week. I then spoke to Michael, who gave me the option of getting a new set of Cooper's. These tires rode great for my vehicle. I'm not sure that another tire store would given the choice of changing out tires after a week ! I would have given Discount a 5 , but I was really dissatisfied with the road wear of the Michelin's. I should have gotten , at least, another 20,000 miles on them ! read more

I've been doing business with Discount Tire since they opened their first Tucson store, mid 80's I think. They have always been pretty respectable. I had 4 new off road tires mounted and balanced at their St. George, Utah store. I had to drive 90 miles and make an appointment to get this done. When I got home I noticed that they mounted and balanced the new tires without pulling the old existing weights. All they did was add more new weights directly opposite the old ones! This is probably the most lame thing I've seen a tire shop do. Do they give any training to the guys in back? Does anyone check their work? There was about a 5" strip of old weights on the rim, and they added 2 rows about 4" long of stick on weights 180 degrees opposite them! They probably could have used NO weights and had the same result. It's only 180 miles and 3 Hrs. round trip to go back though so I'll have plenty of time to get irate all over again by the time I get there. read more

I went here at 8:30 in the morning with out an appointment, figuring it would take a little longer to get in. two hours later they had not taken the car in despite the fact that there were open bays, the workers just seemed to casually work. so my time was running late so I asked for my keys back, the guy told my I was next so I decided to wait, after a few minutes someone came and took my packet back, he set it on a work area and walked away, about fifteen minutes later he brought it back up and put in the waiting bin again and took some other packet back. We've purchased dozens of tires over the years through Discount and we're generally huge fans. Yesterday, my wife hit a chunk of metal on the highway and developed a slow leak. The repair was handled (thank you) but my wife asked twice for them to put the spare tire back underneath the car (I wasn't there to do it for her) and they told her that thru would and then said they had done it as she left. She didn't check, however, and hit the long road home. When she arrived home, I discovered the error and that the chord under the car had been hanging down, swinging and bouncing along the road. I was driving back from a vacation from Zion's National Park area when my tire started losing some of its tread. I stopped at Discount Tire to have them replaced. Overall my experience was not an overly negative experience. The typical "it will be ready in an hour." and then it being ready in two. That is not a problem. I usually plan for that. The problem occurs when I look at my new tires and see dirt on them and the little nubs rubbed off. I am not new to tires. I know there are different types of nubs. I could tell the tires had been driven on because there were remnants of the nubs. There were a few worn down nubs that were bent at about a 45 degree angle from the tire, but the majority of the nubs were worn off entirely leaving a base where I knew the nubs were. I brought it up to the tech but my concern was skirted saying not all new tires have nubs. I showed him the remnants of nubs and he really didn't have much to say after that. I would have gone to the office and complained but having a 1 year old and a 2 year old waiting for 2 hours can make you want to just go home. Which I did. I understand the tires were not severely used but they had been driven on nonetheless. read more

My husband and I went to get our car registered today and were horrified upon discovering that our car's tires didn't pass the inspection. Our regular auto shop doesn't do tires, so they recommended this place. I was a little nervous to try them out - upon hearing "Discount Tire" I imagined a tire shop basically run out of a shack. But I was so wrong! What we found when we pulled up was a large, professional-looking facility with very helpful and friendly staff who didn't try to sell us anything we didn't actually need. They seemed like they were busy but they assured us our car would be ready in half an hour so we stuck around. Our 2 kids were with us and they had fun watching them work through the giant glass wall that separates the lobby from the work area, and they had a large box of crayons and scrap newspaper on one of the tables that my children definitely utilized. And sure enough, our car was ready in half an hour! I was so pleased with our experience that even though I don't actually live in Washington, I can't imagine going anywhere else for our tire needs now!! read more
