Don't ever buy tires at #DiscountTire in Washington UT! I got a flat, needed a new tire that was under warrantee and they tried to charge me for a new warrantee. I disagreed with why I should gave to buy it when it was a replacement tire but was willing to. Now at this point I'm unhappy but whatever, I would rather pay the $30 than talk about it anymore... Then the manager / branch owner came over and started arguing with me about why it was wort it... That if I didn't like it he could refund the original warrantee (leaving me to pay for the new tire), I told him that I understood the warrantee, and that I would have never bought my tires here if I had been told that they were not repairable and that the coverage was a one time use. Now this went on for another 5-10 minutes until I asked him to stop arguing with me... His response "I'm not arguing with you" me "yea, you are", him "no I'm not" me, "yea" him "no I'm not" me, deep breath "please, just stop" him "I just don't know what else you want me to do" me " stop, let it go!" This isn't a review for the actual store in Washington, but for the company in general. I originally bought tires at a Discount Tire location in Oklahoma then moved to Cedar City. One morning I noticed my tire was flat. I took it to a local tire shop (not Discount) because I didn't want to drive the 50 miles to the Washington store on my spare. The store removed a nail and patched up my tire. I contacted Discount Tire to see if they would refund the cost of the repair. They said they would if I sent in my receipt and proof of original tire purchase. Ten days later I received a full refund check and a personal letter from the VP of the company. Even though I didn't provide the Certificate for Repair, Replacement or Refund with my materials he granted my request and personally welcomed me to Utah. That kind of customer service is rare these days and demonstrates Discount Tire's commitment to creating a great customer experience. I will continue to buy tires at Discount and will continue to recommend it to my friends. read more

It's a very busy holiday week, and yet you saw that I needed a quick fix, helped me adjust the pressure in my tires and reset my TPMS, and sent me on my way in less than 5 minutes with no charge. Tire in my BMW blew I searched everywhere in the area no other stores carried this tire size. Discount Tire did. Called they said they had them in stock. First off I want to say I work in customer service so I generally am very forgiving and always give people the benefit of the doubt.. But I feel like I was played and manipulated here.. I went in to get my flat tire plugged and they claimed I needed a new tire.. I to them that was fine if they could have me out of there within 10 minutes if not I'd have to come back after work.. He said he could have it done in 5 minutes and took my payment of $160... Well 20 minutes go by and now I'm late for work but I figure it's going to be done any minute.. He said he needed his balancer to finish the job and apparently he was busy.. I was disapointed at this point cause now I can't leave cause I already paid, and now I'm risking my job.. 45 minutes later.. My true still isn't done.. So I tell them I've got to leave.. So now they finally finished balancing my tire an HOUR later.. That was without putting it on my car after he told me he would.. He then tells me it's going to be another 15 minutes before they can put the tire on my car.. So after being scammed and lied to I just took my tire and had to go to work.. The tire was finally put on my car by Eagles Tires this morning who busted it out in less then 5 minutes! I highly recommend going anywhere but here! I will not go back to discount tire! I am very disappointed in there service!!!! read more

My wife and I bought a new set of tires on Saturday, 6/23/18. Told the salesman that we had a road trip planned and needed them no later than Tuesday. They had to order the tires from another store but assured us they'd be delivered by Monday or Tuesday morning at the latest. Long story short, the tires didn't arrive until Tuesday, they didn't call to say the tires were in as promised. We had to call multiple times. They wouldn't arrange an appointment like they promised - so we wouldn't have to wait for two hours to get them installed. Then they tried to sell us road hazard insurance again when it was already on the receipt from the original purchase. Not very professional service for a customer that just purchased $1000 worth of tires. The icing on the cake was them trying to give us a $100 Fourth of July special discount card if we filled out their paperwork. I'm guessing they know what they can do with their gift card. Poor and inept service from this location. Moving too fast to give proper customer service. read more

I reside in Las Vegas and use discount tire here for my tire needs. The reason I dealt with this discount tire was a series of unfortunate events but the staff here was extremely helpful, honest and hard working. The saga: I replaced two tires on my van here in Vegas. The discount tire used my spare as a main wheel, as I was replacing the old spare tire on there. Unfortunately the spare tire had some rust on the holes where the lug posts and nuts are and this is not good for business, especially for a tow vehicle apparently. On a family trip, my van wheel fell off while towing a trailer...while I was driving through the virgin river gorge and had no cell phone service no less! What are the chances right?! Well, my vehicle was eventually towed to the discount tire parking lot late that evening. I return early the next morning when they opened and explained the situation. Ryan, the general manager, listened to the story and took the situation very seriously. He sent out an employee to assess the vehicle and take the appropriate readings and mileage etc. He contacted corporate and made sure to answer any of my questions and concerns. Despite the crummy situation and the fact that my short family vacation was being threatened into not being able to happen, he took care of business. There was a shop across the parking lot (Tunex) that was able to perform the work necessary to get me back on the road and Ryan walked over with me and made sure that everything he could do to get me on the road by the end of that business day happened. The other employees in the shop were helpful and friendly as well. Although the shop was extremely busy they made sure to take good care of me. I truly appreciate the honesty and hard work by Ryan and his team and if I am ever in St. George and need tire work, I will go here. I would recommend local residents to use this shop as well. read more

This was my first time using this store. When I walked up to the counter, the kid didn't even notice me because he was on his phone texting. They rotated my tires and cross threaded a bolt. They sent me down to a mechanic to fix it and the mechanic said it was the third one they had to fix that day from discount tire. I will probably never use this store again. read more

They have always done right by me. No hidden fees or charges. No warranty issues. One of my vehicles is an all wheel drive and tires are supposed to be replaced in sets, so I buy their certificates. One time a tech struggled a bit on a warranty claim, but eventually got to the correct amount for the replacement set. For new tires, I go on their website and select them ahead of time, so I know what I want going in. Their on-line in-stock numbers have always been dead on. I don't know if it is policy or not, but I got free leak repair on a used vehicle I just bought (a tire brand they don't sell). Of course, they can easily pull up the transaction history I have with them. Also no problems getting paid their internal rebates or tire manufacturer rebates. They do get really busy, so go early or make an appointment (or go have a meal at Red Robin next door). read more

When it comes to tires, this is the worst place I have ever done business with. I bought all new tires two months ago for my 96 Ford Contour. I drive between 50 to 60 miles a day every day, and admittedly, I do drive hard and aggressively. Regardless, after only 5,000 miles, all four tires were bald. Because I do drive so much and, again I admit, faster around turns and on winding roads than what most people would, the outside of the tires wore more quickly, though the overall wear pattern was even and consistent throughout the width of the tires. The tires were rated for 40,000 miles, but Discount Tire refused to honor the manufacturer warranty citing miss alignment. I took the car to Wal-Mart, explained the situation to them. They inspected the tires, determined there was NOT a problem with the allignment, and that the wear appeared the result of fast turns. The manager, Kieth, of the Washington Wal-Mart, guaranteed me that if this situation happened again with the tires I purchased from them, he would honor the manufacturer warranty. Regardless of the situation, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DISCOUNT TIRE IN WASHINGTON, UTAH!!! They do not honor warranties and have poor customer service (offering to give me a "deal" by replacing the tires for a little over $200.00 which is what I paid for tires at Wal-Mart with the car care center manager's guarantee that they would replace the tires under warranty if necessary.) read more

On vacation with our travel trailer. A mechanic at Flying J in Beaver, UT told me that my right rear tire on my travel trailer was rubbing is was very smooth. He told me that I needed new tire because the one would go flat any time. I drove to Washington where I stopped at the Discount Tire on 580 W. Telegraph Street. Brock the Manager came out & crawled under my trailer to examine the tires. He told me my tires were fine. Had plenty of tread & the tires were only a year old. Brock was very friendly & knowledgeable. He took a load of my mind. Thanks to him my wife & I was able to go on & enjoy our vacation. I want to say that I have never meet a bad person at Discount Tires. I am going to get all my tires from them now on. read more

I purchased 4 tires from Discount Tires 2 years ago. They have a 70 thousand mile warranty. Warranty my $$$. I have 31,000 miles on them I have taken them to Discount Tire every 8 thousand miles for rotation. Today they inform me the tires are worn out! WHAT. Not once have they told me they were wearing fast and wrong. So I ask the sales associate why I haven't been informed before now. He says he doesn't know but he's telling me today I need new tires. 700.00 worth of tires shot. He says the manufacture doesn't stand by the warranty for "alignment" wear. Ya I'm a dumb woman and has no idea it was out of alignment. Why go have your tires rotated when they don't even try to help you by telling you about wear! Horrible, absolutely horrible we had bought 4 tires from this place and they said they would have it done before they left. We told them we are only buying all 4 if you can have it done tonight because we live out of town and needed to be home that night. The confirmed it would be done in time. Our friend drove us to see about getting the glass fixed in one of our phones. And to give them some time to let them finish our car. It was getting close to closing time,no one called to let us know it was done. We went back to see our car still had a doughnut on it and all our old tires. Our car wasn't even touched!!! an employee was sitting outside handed us out keys and didn't say a word! We kept asking him why it didn't get done and he had no idea. Needless to say we had to stay the night to get the tires we already paid for and missed an very important mandatory event. I would not recommend this store to anyone. My family has purchased tires here for years till now. They sold us 5 load boss trailer tires that were supposed to be heavy duty with a load rating F. I took in the first tire with only a couple hundred miles on it with 4 side wall bubbles and they said it was from side impacts and they would pro rate the tire and give me a small trade in value towards another tire. I had blow outs with 3 others that all had 80% tread on them and the last tire I took in and got rid of because these tires are a danger to everyone on the road and not worth the liability. All of these tires were 6-9 months old. Discount said it was the manufacturers problem because they make them. They wouldn't take any ownership for selling a dangerous product that should not be on the road. If I were to sell a product that means I take pride and ownership of that product. Discount tire does not. I can not recommend them to anyone because of this experience. read more
