Ok the first time I went to have tires rotated they cross threaded a lug nut. The next time I went they didn't put o one lug nut on, and aired one to tire up to 80 psi. and lost my center cap and had to order one. The last time I went I had a noise on my front right tire and the lug nut was just loose in there. Be careful. read more

I bought tires there about a year ago. They got me the ones I wanted at a reasonable price. More recently, they repaired my rear tire in two spots for free. I'm pretty sure that's their policy but it was really nice to have that extra expense lifted. I don't see a reason to buy tires anywhere else in Wichita. read more

My husband and I recently went to a conference in Wichita, Kansas. The night before we left, around 9:30 PM, he turned into the hotel parking garage and immediately we felt our car having a bumpy feel and I could hear air coming out. We knew we ran over something, but weren't quite sure what it was yet. He parked the car and it was a very large object with a screw on the end and he had to immediately change the tire. We only had a compact spare and were hours away from home. We had somewhere to go the next morning relating to the conference and when he tried to book a time with Discount Tire, they had no appointments available. He called them and spoke to a man named Chase and Chase advised him to bring in our tire and drop it off so they could work on it while we were attending the last session of conference. We can't tell you how wonderful that was! When we arrived at Discount Tire, one of the employees looked at my husband and said "Wow, how'd you manage that?" We knew the object was cumbersome, but they worked on it and were able to remove it and patched the tire. The gentleman working there told me it was close and they were barely able to do it, but they did manage to fix it. They also made sure there was adequate air in all of the tires prior to us leaving. To top it off, it started raining profusely as we were trying to leave their shop and Chase got his umbrella and held it over me as we got into our car. We didn't have to wait very long once we got there and they did an excellent job. My husband would give both the customer service he received with Chase and the repair a hands-down five 5 . He said it was a fabulous experience and had Chase not taken the time to help us? we would not have been able to drive home safely on the spare. I bought 6 sets of tires. Had a blow out and they won't repair or replace tire that is only 2 months old. Bought luggage nuts and they gave me wrong ones. Have all receipts and they won't do anything for me. Worst place to deal with. They rip you off over and over. Be ware of this company. read more

The only thing Discount Tires will do is check the tread on your tires , promis the world and deliver nothing. I have a tire warranty as does my wife, and two daughters. I had a flat tire but had to schedule an appointment to repair, three days I waited, airing up the tire each day. Several times (including today) I have pulled in to the area for airing up tires with equal pressure. And as the previous time NO SERVICE. Im not sure if anyone other than a used car salesman's is the manager. The next 4 sets of tires will not be at Discount Tire. read more

I had an appointment to get my tires sensors replaced that I had made two weeks ago. When I get to the store for my appointment I was told that they were out of the sensors for my vehicle. I did not get a phone call telling me they didn't have the sensors. Instead I wasted my time and gas driving up to the store only to be told they didn't have what I specifically made the appointment for. They also told me that I could make another appointment but they weren't for sure when they'd get the sensors in. I asked if they'd take down my information so they could call me when they come and the guy said he could but it'd probably get thrown away. That is just bad business all around in my opinion and I may be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

I was stranded and stuck/ended up going to no less than 5 shops and called many more. Those shops could not help me. I had special locking lugs that I have yet to receive a key for from the dealer. The manager and the employees all worked together to solve this issue and the hammer in that photo was needed. They risked loosing their equipment to help me. Had an appointment at 1:45. Arrived early at 1:25, called to let them know I arrived. I sat till 2:00 then had to call again to remind them that I was here. They had forgot I even arrived. Not coming here again for service, incredibly annoying. EDIT: It's now 2:40 and they are still working on rotating tires. Both times I spoke to Ethan and Austin I told them I had a leaky tire on my FRONT PASSENGER TIRE, as they took wheels off my fusion they mentioned nothing wrong with the DRIVER REAR, I corrected the employee and mentioned I had told the other employees 2x EACH which wheel was having problems. Astonished, I continued watching these childish employees horse play and talking getting each other off track I've been here for over an hour. I sat in my vehicle as they worked and watched everything. Worst tire service in Wichita. Save your time and money. EDIT: Upon returning home I noticed that when they impacted the lugs back on the wheel they chipped my paint. The last time I visited a discount tire was the north rock road in derby and have ZERO problems. Nor did they damage my wheels! Beyond furious! Two items: 1. I had $2,400 dollars worth of tires on my daughters truck. On the way home from the shop, I had a tire sensor failure, I called the shop right then and had them make note of it and said I would be in as soon as I could (I live 45 min outside of Wichita). When I went back in to have it fixed they said "it could have just gone out", and charged me $60 for it. It worked fine when I took it in, had 4 tires put on and now it doesn't work..and Your manager was a jerk about it. 2. The same time I took my daughters truck in to have the sensor repaired, I took my truck in to have a flat fixed, they didn't even pull the tire or rim off of the truck and said the tire isn't repairable, the nail is in the sidewall. I took it to my local hometown tire 'fixers and he fixed it for $18.00. I have included a pic of where the nail hole was, judge for yourself. I dont know why they have treated me like this, it might be because the observed me removing my duty gear from my truck and they just don't like cops, I dont know but never again....By the way I hardly ever leave feedback. read more

After getting a flat tire this morning on the west side, I decided to try the new discount tire. I went in to get a nail out of my tire was told that it was not going to cost me anything, so I scheduled for later in the afternoon to get it fixed. When I got the before they had even looked at the tire I got told I needed new tires. That the front was OK but the back needed to be changed. Then I got told they couldn't fix my tire and I needed to buy a new tire. So I got hooked with it will not cost you anything to you need a new tire. I have ordered tires from DT online for years due to the great prices, now I can take my truck there for service too. They will fix a flat tire for free for anyone, whether you bought your tires from them or not, they have free air check & fill anytime... (especially nice on those freezing cold days)... and they rotate and REBALANCE tires for free if you buy from them. Last time they ordered tires that I wanted, and beat the lowest price that I found online by 10%. Too bad more businesses don't have the excellent service that they have! read more

As I attempted to leave home yesterday I found that I had an almost flat tire. After calling AAA and having them assess the situation I went to the closest place possible for a repair, Kansasland, Goodyear. The guys there were kind and friendly but they told me my tire would not be able to be repaired and they did not have one in stock. And, they would not be able to get one until Monday. Oh, and it would be nearly $200. I called around and obviously my tires are not common however I spoke to a gentleman named Jake at discount tire and he said to bring it in and let's take a look. So off I went hoping I didn't lose pressure on the way there. I met Jake at the front desk the place is extremely clean and the people there are all very friendly. He came out looked at my tires and "your tires are almost brand new we got to try to save it" so they looked at it and determined, yes, it could be fixed! They explained why they could fix, it and they did so promptly! Once it was ready the manager drove it to the front door for me and waited. I went to the young man and asked him how much it was and he explained it would not be a charge. Even though I didn't buy my tires there they help people fix and repair flat tires for free! I will definitely give them all of my tire business in the future, not that that was their expectation, but for me that kind of customer service wins every time! read more

I purchased 4 new tires for a travel trailer. They were tires with only about 5000 miles max but I wanted to upgrade to a premium trailer tire. I asked several times to keep the old tires for me. It looked like a beehive there and 60 miles one way drive so I decided to change the tires myself at the trailer storage site - doing one side at a time. The first two wheels and tires (left side) were done but they disposed of the old tires and had to go dig them out for me. I finally got all four replaced (and got all the old tires back). In getting ready for a trip, I checked the tire pressures. The right side was OK and close to the 65 PSI pressure. The left side were both just over 45 lbs and anyone that knows anything about trailer tires will pressurize to the max stated (65 PSI) One of the most dangerous thing about pulling a trailer is running low pressure, causing them to overheat and ruin/blow the sidewalls. Tires for trailers are clearly identified as ST (ST215 ....) and there is no question what the use is. The technician could have caused serious damage to the tires, my travel trailer and me by under-inflating those tires. I had even asked the sales guy about making sure the pressure was right. No I haven't been able to get a hold of them by phone and I aired them up to proper pressure myself but I will give them an earful Monday when I can reach the manager. read more

I ordered tires online. I received a call a few days later, telling me that the tires were obsolete. I stopped by the store to get a comparable tire for the same price. They first offered me a lesser tire for the same price. I asked for something closer, and they offered me a higher price tire. They didn't offer to reduce the tire price since they made a mistake.
