They were very upfront about where they are compensated . . . and after realizing how much easier the weeks before our trip could be (not worrying about transport to/from airports, ferry schedules, etc.), I happily turned over many of the details to them. My wife and I just told them the dates, what cities and islands we wanted to see, and they took it from there, sharing with us a proposed itinerary and - with some input from us - a final version. We also sat down with them a week before the trip with the whole family as a forum to ask last-minute questions. Once we arrived a local contact (that works with Marks in Greece) called us to make sure we'd arrived and to see if there was anything we needed. All the connections worked out smoothly over the next ten days. Good hotels were chosen for us based on sharing with Marks staff what we needed (and what we didn't). Attentive customer service on the front-end resulted in a wonderful trip we'll never forget.

I began to ask questions about the package we were getting - breakout of airfare, hotel, etc and it seemed the more details I wanted the more things started to go south. Lydia was very confrontational after providing her with feedback. So I reached out to the funjet to provide them feedback on my experience and that just made matters worse with Lydia. We literally considered walking away from the entire trip because of such a horrible experience. Needless to say when the trip did occur we had issues with our reservation. I spoke to another couple on the trip and they too expressed dissatisfaction with her service. By far the worst experience I ever had with any travel agent. They are suppose to make planning a vacation/trip an enjoyable, hassle free, experience and this was the complete opposite.

Only one stop was made and the tour guide made no mention to historical sites on our way back ant the trolley driver took the expressway which makes no sense and drove very recklessly with ear buds in his ears! John worked on our airfare, hotels in Athens and Rome as well as tours in Athens and Rome and Italy transportation. The hotels in Athens were both fairly small "boutique" hotels. The pre-cruise hotel had stunning water views from our room and the 3rd floor restaurant. The tween cruises hotel in Athens had a rooftop restaurant that overlooked the Acropolis. The staff at both hotels were incredibly accommodating for all our needs. Heading to Rome for 4 nights pre-cruise John set us up with private transportation to the hotel and to the cruise port. Perfect. The Mascagni - wow - it didn't hurt that the hotel upgraded our room. Again. Wow. Such wonderful staff. As an aside - John confirmed each and every hotel, tour, car and flight with the companies the day before we got there. And that ends all of John's plans for us....or it should have. The last 2 nights after the Italy cruise we relied on my brother-in-law to book an Air B & B for the 6 of us. BTW - welcome to Venice - the city with no cars and the canal bridges all have stairs. So they booked a 3 story walkup. So...who comes through and finds us a porter and private water taxi for our 9am flight by talking to the Air B & B owner (in Italian) and making the arrangements that saved our butts?
