When the time came to plan her birthday party, she was super excited to have it at Let It Shine. All the kids had a blast, and Coach Ben was so engaging & energetic... he had the kids laughing and kept them entertained while they were on the floor. (a true hero IMO!) Coach Cheryl worked her tail off to get the party room set up, and kept the party on track so we didn't go over two hours. It would have been so much more stressful without her hard work! Two of the other kids told their parents they wanted to have their party's there too, and I take that to mean they really loved the experience. Money well spent, & I definitely recommend!

I could understand price increases if the coach to athlete ratio got smaller but now you want me to pay more to have less attention on my kid. They know they are the only gymnastics place in Spring Hill, and they strong arm you into staying. However, after 2 years here I've seen little to no improvements in the areas that were concerning to me when we first started. I'll keep this short and to the point. Perhaps someone in charge will see it and take these issues to heart as I have had quite a few conversations with other parents expressing similar concerns: Pros: - Front office knows their job and is always able to answer questions quickly -Central location that is easy to get to - They offer a lot of extra events like Parent's Night Out, Dipper Camps, Ninja Clinics if you are interested in paying extra fees to participate. Cons: - Extremely limited parking - The building itself is way too small for the operation they are running. Students can't spread out and are often all clumped up and bumping into each other. -Class sizes are huge now (both gymnastics and ninja). My kids spend A LOT of time standing around waiting their turn. For nearly $200 dollars a month, it's maddening. -The coaches don't appear to make any connection with parents unless they know them personally - The viewing areas are jam packed, hot & stuffy, and generally uncomfortable. I can't for the life of me figure out why they don't at least have an oscillating fan upstairs. Nearly every mom I have ever chatted with there complains about how hot it is upstairs. There is limited seating up and downstairs so plan on standing if you can't arrive early. Getting in and out of the building is a nightmare with how jam packed it is. I don't know how this isn't a major fire hazard to be honest? -The building is so crowded in the late afternoon/evening hours that its extremely loud and often distracting for the younger ones. They have kids crammed in every corner of the gym so it's challenging for them to stay focused. -We have gone through quite a few coaches in our 2 years there. We've never been notified of a coach leaving or a new one being introduced. Some coaches have been wonderful, loving, and genuinely committed to properly teaching the sport. Others have seemed less than enthused, or even mildly annoyed to be there. I'll end here. I think you get the point. All in all- we wanted to love it. For what we pay- we SHOULD love it. At this point, I am actively looking for a better option for my kids even if that means we have a longer commute. Or maybe I'll get lucky and the continued growth of Murfreesboro will bring a new gym to town.

Then hurting the child to show control and power is beyond..."If you want [child name] to stay in this program, I believe you need to realize how you speak to the manager of this gym." He came at me for commenting in a group chat with moms about a new sweatshirt design, that I found the new gym one "unreadable and messy" and then me telling him he was creating unnecessary drama and making a huge deal out of nothing. It was bizarre. It's a shirt design! It was a light convo between some team moms working on a team spirit project. I cannot imagine having to question a decision about choreography, positions, or team placement with this man. I stayed out of all that. I just wanted input on a sweatshirt design I would buy for myself. He seems to think women don't have a voice and he can do as he pleases. Well. I do. Now I was told he threatened my 17 year old son his job if Mom won't pull negative reviews. Just more threats and power plays versus calming down and apologizing and leaving the child alone and out of it. Not a good place at this time in my opinion.

My athlete has said this was a waste of time which translates into a lot of wasted money and time. I have heard that the full teams are a different story with a different commitment from the athletes, parents and coaches. If you know what you want then don't do HYPE.

The owner and her coach have went above and beyond to help with this and pull her out of her shell. The coaches have brought a group of girls who vary largely in age, together as a sisterhood more than a team. I love the fact that the coaches have become more like family. The coaches take time to find each athletes strengths as well help them overcome their shortcomings. I am looking at enrolling my niece as well now so she can experience the family and joy of cheerleading my daughter has.

The new owner Cathy Kiser has been coaching gymnastics for several years. She is USAG Jr. Olympic certified and a USAG certified Judge. Her dream was to own her own gym and with her husband being a United States Marine that dreamed seemed far away. Moving from Okinawa Japan where she coached for several years and began a USAG competitive program for our Military dependents. She was very grateful for the opportunity to make her dream a reality. Even though her family is stationed in Mississippi She lives in Pleasant View Tennessee where it was possible for her to make her dream a reality. With family plans to retire in the area this makes it easier for her to endure the separation from her family We have already taken the initiative to make several changes and improvements. Great variety of quality classes for all ages and ability levels. There is something available to fit any family's crazy schedule! Amazing owners! Family business with years upon years of experience. One of the owners teaches the Ninja class my son attends and I LOVE to see them out on the floor, not just in the office. They are connected, community-oriented and generous.
