We primarily wanted to walk along the river so we stayed on the trails closest to the water and walked along the river area. I'm not sure about their other trails, but it seemed like a pretty big park that was well-maintained. Seems like a popular place for people to come to do some boating or floating/tubing on the river.

Probably one of the best courses I've played. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. That's not too say they are perfect as they could use a little finish work, but I can overlook that with the amazing property. One thing I was disappointed with is that when we booked our stay everything said this was a Bed and "Breakfast". And there were countless reviews that said the breakfast was one of the highlights. We came expecting some delicious hot breakfasts to start our days, especially with a holiday where everything around was closed. Unfortunately, they recently changed to only providing continental breakfast... Not what I was expecting especially for a bed and breakfast that I feel I paid the premium for. This is a solid 4-star place but with the removal of hot breakfasts, I could easily have rated it as 3 instead. It wouldn't have been as big of a deal if we had been given a heads up before we arrived of the change, we could have planned ahead for it by bringing something to make our own. With that said, Adam goes out of his way to make sure you are well taken care of and comfortable the entire stay. They set up a grill so we could cook hamburgers and he was great to talk disc golf with. They also have a great spot to enjoy a fire, toast marshmallows, and make smores. They also have $5 pay to play if you just want to play disc golf and not stay at the inn.

We played the course twice and with a break (at a bench somewhat in the shade but with a decent breeze) we walked about 1 and 3/4ths a mile. For me, that's awesome. I really wasn't thinking about that. I was just enjoying playing the game. Even though it was in the 90's, there was a breeze and most of the course is in the shade. Its not a very technical course. The ground is flat. The course was a little difficult to figure out but I think we got it. Plus. We were playing for exercise and fun. No scores. Just a married couple laughing and walking in the sun throwing a frisbee around.

This was my first disc golf course ever and I really enjoyed it. There is a little coffeeshop next door that is excellent for coffee and food! We got there early at about 11 am but once mid-day rolled around the park started to fill up with people doing various things and it made disc golf more difficult and dangerous.

Regarding the beaches, to the west are the family beaches and those that prefer to wear clothing. To the east are the clothing optional beaches. If you choose to go to the clothing optional, it's all good, no gawking, just people enjoying the beach and water in whatever way is comfortable for them. For me, that's a swimsuit. In the simmer when the river is low, the beaches are wider. And the water is surprisingly warm. Not tropical warm, but refreshing! Located just past Vista Point and before Multnomah Falls and the other 6 waterfalls along I-84, you can do all of this in one day. Or just spend the entire day at Rooster Rock enjoying walks, a swim, a picnic. Or do the hikes and waterfalls and come back here for a picnic and sunset. The fee for parking is $5 and you pay at the booth as you enter the park. Then you can continue driving and park anywhere, depending which side of the river you want to hang out on. There is plenty of parking but it does get crowded on hot days. If you are taking the shuttle to Multnomah Falls or other sites along the Scenic Highway, you pick it up here, after you pay and park. It's just 30 minutes from Portland so if you are looking for something different to do, that doesn't really cost anything, and you enjoy nature, chilling in a beach or grass and picnicking, it's a nice spot.

Beautiful large natural lake fed by underground springs…read more Small nonmotorized boats allowed under 3hp. This lake arguably provides the largest & nicest ADA pier for fishing in the greater PDX area. Plenty of shoreline for bank fishing or launching a SUP. Peaceful ADA trail loop and picnic areas throughout. Gold level 18 hole disc golf course is very popular here. Dogs and other pets are not allowed to protect sensitive wildlife areas. $5 parking pass for the day.

I read that the homeowners took over the ownership and full maintenance of the SolarBee water circulation units that minimizes the issues of a stagnant body of water. Those machines have increased the bird and fish populations! The bike paths thru the park are fun and educational as well as an actual wildlife tour! Beavers, Nutria, jackrabbits, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, turkey vultures, coyotes, raccoons, egrets, blue herons, river otters, bass, trout, blue gill, crappies, huge carp, Canadian geese, many kinds of seasonal ducks and I can't name them all but there is more! Yep, it is a real piece of nature that is being preserved and shared with activities like water spray park, basketball, volleyball, frisbee, softball, and a full on certified world class disc golf course ... that's pretty impressive. Oh yeah, all kinds of room for picnics and by yourself or large groups. It's a good size park. It's fun to do whatever you feel like if you need some sporting equipment, some is supplied at the main office.
