The staff has always taken the time to greet me as I walk in, take a look at my RC car and help me figure out what's wrong and tell me exactly what I need to do or in some cases even show me what to do. I've had such a positive experience every time I've been here! They recently (June 2024) added some fun tracks in the back for customers to use! You can also rent the cars to use back there if you don't have your own. A suspended obstacle course, a drift track and a couple other tracks. If you are into rc cars, or have someone in the family who is, this is definitely a place for you to try out!

Now there is a shelf about half full of the same modes. Nothing to choose from that's good quality models. And the paint section has been bare since at least January of this year. It's like none of the paints or cements or primers have been replaced with new stock. I drove a half hour just to get some paints for my model car I bought, and it is very disappointing. Bare shelves, nothing getting restocked. I'm done going there. I have spent a lot of money at that store in the past, now it's just a ghost of its former self. Better off going to hobby lobby or just Amazon.

Definitely more land-oriented and is mainstream brand oriented (Traxxas, Axial, Spektrum, Horizon, Lectron, E-Flite, etc...), but is a good place to get parts when you need for those brands. Good for general hobby gear. Connectors, tools, couple/few TX and RX options for land and air. Don't expect to find most brands you'll find at online retailers that pedal in the cheaper/more generic Chinese goods. TGY, HK, Orange and whatnot. Owner can come off a little rude when you first meet him, but he means well and will get you taken care of and is a wealth of information. We're all just people and I'm sure there are some he rubs the wrong way at first meet (me, included, but no lie he's a great guy I've found over time!) and some that he clicks with.

The video game selection is meek if that. With the most variety for new gen consoles XB S/X and PS5 (This would be fine if they didn't price things as badly). The sections for "retro" games are pitiful, with laughable selections. Any game you came in hoping to find, they've either priced it way too high in the glass case, or they don't have it. Serious price gouging overall, this can't be stated enough. It feels like a basement selection of games that nobody wants, or everyone already has. They even offer games that no longer have online services, rendering them useless to the buyer, at the same price as when these games released 5+ years ago. Do those games come with a warning before or after you buy them? At one point I was on the look out for an original Wii controller, when I called the store I got such vague answers. "We might have them" or a long sales pitch on their off branded Wii controllers sold in store (surprise! They are horrible quality and barely catch a read on the sensor bar) Surely they know the quality of these second market controllers they are selling/ promoting? Just a waste of money and time. The main attraction of this store seems to be the tabletop gaming. They have many events during the week, and I think that is helping with the overall traction of people going in and out of the place. It can't be their prices or selection! I truly think this place would be better off just pivoting to exclusively tabletop games, or AT LEAST take "retro" out of the name. The folks here are very considerate and helpful, and open to helping me bring some of my crazy ideas to life. I'm so happy specialty stores like this still exist, and I hope as a community we can continue supporting them. There is no replacement for the years of expertise these shopkeepers bring to the retail experience. There is a large parking lot in front of the store, which is convenient because the neighborhood tends to be pretty busy. And the parking enforcement can be quite unforgiving in the area.
