As you might expect, it was pricey, and no one mentioned it might not be what I wanted. When I realized, well, now it's opened, so would you like $9 back on your $90 purchase? I wouldn't call it a "scam" but I wish their staff was more forthcoming about selling games from another region. If you know to check everything closely before buying, this seems like a nice shop, but if you're less of an expert, you might want to shop somewhere with better buyer protection.

You will feel awkward as the employees closely watch you as you look around the store, and particularly if you look up prices on your phone. "I never said that" and proceeded to only give me in store credit. The store is cash only and has no signs telling you that. They suggest you use the atm then get the $3 off your purchase, definitely how money laundering works. Against my better judgment I went back a week later to use the credit. For a $69 ps5 camera. I had the $49 in credit and $5 for some sort of promo. Just for the lazy eye cashier to tell me I can only use one at a time. To top it off it feels like the someone died in there and the ghost lives in the aisles. If you're into really bad experiences this is the place for you!

After discussing this on the phone, he agreed to partially refund me for the hardship. Several months later, I dropped the fake card off and he texted me to deny that he sold me the card but that he would "honor the $7 store credit offer". Notably, this is not the remedy we agreed upon on the phone. It is unfortunate that after spending a significant amount of money at this store, I have been met with such dishonest behavior. I first discovered them in 2013 when I moved to the area, and they had a "Buy 2 games under $10, get 1 free" deal that exists today. Aside from media and games, they also sell skateboards, wheels, grip tape, etc. at the back of the shop. They have some related toys to video games and other collectibles here and there in the store, as well. The smiling kids that left the store as I was walking in reminds me of what these places offered that big box companies can't: a specific specialness in the community.
