    I contacted AT&T on December 27th due to a problem that we were having with our service. After…read moretalking to the customer service representative, it was determined that we needed an updated box since we have had the same receiver box since 2010. An appointment was set up for Monday December 31st. We received a phone call on Sunday night stating that the appointment would have to be cancelled as the technician did not have a receiver box (which I believe is necessary for any Direct TV customer) and the earliest they could come was Thursday, Jan. 3rd. We continued to have problems with the sound on our receiver (which was the original problem that caused us to purchase a new television) We contacted customer service again and the earliest appointment we can get is Monday January 7th. After spending over 300 dollars for a new television and missing work as they did not call until the night before to cancel we are told that we will have to wait a week and a half to resolve this problem. I feel that it is poor customer service as we called on December 27th and they set us up as a priority and got an appointment within 2 days and then appointment cancelled the night before. We missed work and when calling customer service stating that they could not help us even though the equipment that they supposedly was out of was a common piece of equipment that any customer needs. After being a customer for over 20 years I feel that is is a disgrace as to how they treat their long standing customers

He was also very good regarding communications prior to his arrival. Hank was professional and very skilled regarding the repairs. He had the old batteries out and the new batteries in like it was nothing. He also give the phones a good cleaning and a once over. In addition, he sat with my wife and I to go over a number of settings that would help preserve battery life and protect privacy. That was a really nice touch. Furthermore, he offered to answer any questions we may have on the phones going forward. He also left us with his business cards. I really recommend working with Hank! With the work he did, we'll easily get another year out of our iPhones. He has his own business in addition to the work he does with iCracked. He runs iDevice Repair out of Seymour, CT.

I did not need to waste gas driving to the mall, leaving my iPhone for five days wth some of the dealers, or worry about waiting in line. He arrived at exactly the time that we set He was extremely friendly and proficient in his work. I did have the option of him coming to my home or meeting him at a central location like a McDonald's or Dunkin donuts. I chose the home because it was much easier for me. What a difference his service is over the service you get in the local malls. He explained every step of replacing my cracked iPhone. He double checked the entire phone after he was finished with the glass replacement to be certain everything was working perfectly.     We had DirecTV satellite service for several years, then switched to Dish a few years back for a…read more(slightly) lower subscription price. When Dish kept increasing our monthly fee, we decided to switch to DirecTV Stream. After I signed up for the "no-risk" trial of DirecTV Stream, I called Dish to cancel that overlapping service. At that point, Dish transferred me over to a customer retention specialist who made me an offer that we could not refuse. At that point, I signed up with Dish, then called DirecTV to bail out of their service. Good luck! I was beyond their 14-day trial and could not cancel without paying them for the entire 2 year contract. They were holding me hostage. I then called Dish to explain the situation to them and to cancel that service that we had just ordered the day before, and THEY also tried to hold me hostage and expected me to pay for an entire 2 year contact. After threatening Dish with legal action and reminding them that the contract could be revoked within 3 business days, they caved in. So now we are stuck with DirecTV Stream for 2 years. It came with the one Gemini device and remote. We have two TVs, and I was not willing to pay them to lease another remote, so I bought two more online. We have had frequent and recurring problems, where we are watching recorded programming and where an error message suddenly pops up, saying that it has lost our Internet connection (which is total nonsense). The only way to escape this when it happens (error code 10007-013) is for me to restart the device. I had to do this yesterday and again today. So much for "streaming". I called DirecTV when this occurred today, and their technical support was totally useless. She wanted me to reboot my Starlink modem, which is working fine with a dozen other devices in our house, including the other TV. I have also had issues where I have had to totally reprogram one of the Gemini remotes after it kept freezing up. Waiting for this contract to end is worse than waiting for the next election cycle.

    I've used Ed since an ice storm in 1996 knocked out the phones in my telemarketing center. Ed set…read moreup new lines for us so we were the only ones in our building with service. Another time he ran data lines through abandon pipes under our warehouse so we could connect the buildings without having to add more wires. Ultimately, using the deserted pipes underground, Ed replaced all of our lines with high speed data lines so we ran at over 200 mbps which was unheard of 10 years ago. As the wireless world has evolved, so has Ed's company. We are very data driven and Ed has always stayed ahead of the technology and upgraded us to new software and systems through the years. We were one of the first companies to go totally wireless and this ultimately ended up saving us a lot of money on monthly bills. Ed has done work for us for over 20 years and they always answer the phone, they always send someone right out and they always let us know what our costs will be. They are as fine a vendor as we deal with and I have to add that Ed does a significant amount of work, pro bono, for Hartford homeless shelters and soup kitchens. He has never mentioned that part of his business to us (I'll bet to anyone). He is that kind of man.
