Dish absolutley does not care about it's customers. I signed up for service in June, 2023 and someone came out to set-up the satellite and the box. Since then: 1. Within 3 months the Hopper box (DVR) needed to be replaced as it stopped working. Instead of sending out someone to fix the issue with a new box, they mailed me a new box but I needed to request a "special" service to have a person come out to install the new box and take away the old one. Since I couldn't call for the service until the new box arrived, that delayed the replacement of their service another couple of days. They obviously didn't care they were under contract to provide my tv service. 2. During a big storm in February, 2024, the satellite they installed blew over and stopped working, as did the satellite for my internet service. When the internet provider came out right away to fix their satellite dish, they found out that the Dish service person who set up their satellite initially had not fixes their satellite to their own base, they attached it to the base for the internet service. That's why both satellites blew over, because one base couldn't support two satellites. When I complained about this to Dish they were unconcerned and did not apologize or offer any credit for the fraudulent/probably illegal work done by their installer. 3. The second Hopper box they gave me stopped working in August, 2024. This will make my 3rd Hopper box in about a year. Again, they wouldn't send a service person out to bring a new box right away. This time they said they would send a new box for free if it was shipped in 5-6 business days, but they would send it to arrive the next day if I paid $20 for expedited shipping. They also would not send anyone out ever to help me install the new box and they won't take the old one back but they gave me a location where I could drop it off for recycling. So, what do they do for the money I send them each month? I'll tell you; nothing. I feel sorry for anyone who signs up with Dish. They are awful!!!!! read more

Dish - Beware of Gift Card Promotion!! FALSE ADVERTISING AND FRAUD Signed up on 11/21/23 and was promised a $300 gift card 30 days after activation. Was given instruction to login to My Dish to claim it. Kept checking website and it never showed up. I called several times and keep getting told they will fix it. Meantime, wasting my time on phone & keep getting the run around.. Now I'm being told it has not been resolved because they don 't have the promotional code that was provided during the signing of my contract. Isn't that convenient!! Also, was told if they had the promotional code given to them now, it's too late to claim it. This is truly fraud and false advertising. They lead you to sign up with them and never give the gift card. I have a stack of the promotional codes that have been sent to us over time. I don't know the exact code that was given to "David" during initial contract but wrote down it was for $300.00. STRONGLY RECOMMEND GOING WITH A DIFFERENT TV SERVICE. There's many options now. We figured we would give Dish a try for 2 years but that was a BIG mistake. Wonder how many people this has happened to. Might be a class action lawsuit in the making for false advertising. They may give out some to look legitimate but others purposely lose the promotion code so they don't have to pay. read more

So my father had Dish for a number of years... I was also on the account. My father passed away in April of 2023, bit I kept the account open until we sold his house, at which point I closed the account and returned the equipment. Lol so I received notice that the account had a refund coming... great I think lol NOT. They send the check in my DECEASED fathers name. I tried calling to explain I've moved, 99% of my stuff is still in boxes and will be until I move again in July. And they won't reissue the check in my name. Absolute WORST service!!! Never ever get DISH!!! First off...Dish promised me the same quality streaming and I'm able to watch sports on the "Dish Anywhere App". None of above were true. Watching TV felt like i was watching Analog TV from the 1970's. TERRIBLE!! Then, I can't even watch a SINGLE game on my phone!! I practitcally misssed the whole World Series because there "Hopper" kept saying its offline. I give them a chance when i spoke with customer service to see if the Hopper was needed to be exhanged, and they wanted to hear from their Technician that all i complained about was true. The technician also confirmed its the DISH network error. So, that did it for me and I called to CANCEL my service with DISH. Second off..When i spoke with the customer service the first time she confirmed that since DISH did NOT live up to my expectations(in which it fell WAY below) I would NOT get charge the early activation fee. I get on phone with another DISH customer service and told me she can't do what the other customer service said they would do...INCREDIBLE!!!!! Now it seems like they just make up their own rules!!! UNBELIIVEABLE!!! So...I take it to another level and spoke with the "Senior Resolution Team" DAISY was here name. She said that she can't do anything about what was promised to me..WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE DISH Network is. PEOPLE!!! PLS stay away from DISH...this will be the worst mistake YOU will ever ever make in you life!!! Stay with Direct TV and Xfinity...NOTHING ELSE...ESPECIALLY DISH!!!! Lemme go get another beer before I start this....... Thaaats better.... First off: No.fucking.stars.....no fuckin way. I had DISH before. I liked DISH....and I detest change. However dealing with their customer service was like discussing politics with a liberal: kind of entertaining until you realize how incredibly stupid they really are and then it scares you. This time it's worse. I called to get DISH after DirecSTD pissed me off. "Benjamin" assisted me and during the course of setting things up he said that HD programming would be free. Later he said that the HD would only be free with auto-pay (which I fukin HATE)...this was classic bait-and-switch and I sure as fuck wasn't Joe Neckbone going along with it like a dimwit. I called Benjamin on it and he ended up relenting and stating that the HD programming would be free without auto-pay. I had to give credit card info for something which made sense at the time, the deal was done, life was good and DISH was installed. Also I took notes the entire time to document what was said and agreed to, because I know the swine I'm dealing with... Today when I set up my online account I discovered that Benjamin had used my credit card info to set up fucking auto-pay against my wishes, and if I opted out I lost HD programming. I was fukin FURIOUS. I called DISH and the dude who answered tried to say that there was no way it could be fixed, which was also a lie because they ended up fixing it by sending me a paper bill,......which makes no sense but whatever, fuck em. !!!!! DON'T SIGN UP FOR DISH !!!!! ZERO STAR RATING (Do not give your credit card to this company) I am so upset with DISH! Today, I spent over two hours on the phone trying to get back $201.78 that DISH had stolen from my bank account without authorization. Their customer service is the worst ever!!! After 20 minutes on hold, the call disconnected. I had to call back and it was another 22 minutes before I was able to speak with anyone. I was transferred to numerous departments with no success. Finally, I was transferred to the Office of the President and spoke with (Larry #YBO) who offered me a take it, or leave it repayment of $56.00 total. Are they kidding????? What a SCAM COMPANY!!!!! I said NO, I want all my money back. I owe your company nothing!!!!! But Larry at Dish would not help me. To this day, DISH continues to harass me about a bill that I do not owe! I had to move, due to lack of funds, I called dish and let them know this. They assured me, over the phone, that I would not have to pay a termination fee. I continue to get harassing emails, phone calls, and attempts to charge my credit card. read more

I thought Dish network would be great but I was wrong. I had it installed at my apartment and they had to install it outside the patio to get a line of sight to the satellite in space. The Tech guaranteed that i would have no issues in regards to the placement of the dish. Therefore i took his advice and never asked the Property Manager. Two weeks later I get a phone call to get my dish moved. I explained why it was out there and they still said i need to move it. I called the Dish Network Customer service, I was told that i would have to pay for the early termination fee because my contract states that i agreed that i already got permission from the property manager. I'm writing this to let everyone know that the Dish Network Customer Service will not help in any way. You will get screwed over if you dont do your research. Dont rely on the tech's advice, dont get the dish installed if you feel it wont be approved from your property manager. read more

Urgent Message! Do not sign up for DISH tv device. I just canceled my service and went to AT&T so I can bundle my internet and phone. Can you believe they are charging me $300 early disconnection fee and $17.99 per box(5 boxes) to send them back. Its $49.00 each box if I keep them. If I could give Minus Stars for a review I would. Dish Network is TERRIBLE. We had their service at our old place for a very short time before we moved. Had problems with reception. When we moved we were able to get out of the contract due to the line of sight being blocked however the Tech would not take our equipment and said boxes would be shipped to us. That was beginning of December, it is now Feb and still no boxes. i called them end of January letting them know I'm still waiting for my boxes. Today they took it upon themselves to deduct $300 from my account even after I called them to remind THEM about not receiving their return boxes. They say i have to wait 3-5 business days to get the boxes and once they receive the shipment another 3-5 business days to refund MY money! DISH YOU SUCK!!!!! read more
