The tasting room and wine shop has a bit of an Italian villa vibe. The huge back lawn was beautiful. We chose to stay inside since outside service was limited that day. The bottle labels and wine names were entertaining in themselves. With an extensive list it was hard to choose a few to try. I started with three of their five sparkling wines. The Almond, the Peach, and the Strawberry. I have an office full of girls that enjoy their sweet bubbles. So they got some that day. For me, I like the reds. Julie Ann Barbera, Sienna Mourvedre, Morgan's Nebbiolo, and Naughty Bawdy. All great, but Naughty you have to try on label and name alone. Plenty of parking in the front.

It's a beautiful and large winery with lots of seating inside and outside. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and were seated in their enclosed back patio. And were told that their wine tasting was complimentary! Wow! Their marsanne white and barbera were excellent. The wine tasting was fun thanks to our hostess Jane. She kept us entertained. She told us all about their winery and it's production. Unfortunately this was our 3rd winery of the day and we were pretty wined out so we only ended up buying two of their barberas. We will have to do another trip and come back.

We were all glad that this was the main suggestion that popped up because we had such a wonderful time at the tasting room. The space itself is very clean and modern, and it has a beautiful view of the hills around the area. The outdoor seating area right in front of the tasting room is a wonderful space to take advantage of if you are going to be in the area during the warmer times of the year. We tasted their general menu that day when it came to the flights. Everyone had their own favorites. The call-outs for us would be the rose and the primitivo. Those two we really liked and bought two bottles of each. We did not get to try the food there but everything that was coming out looked super delicious. The one thing that caught her eye that a lot of people were ordering was the whipped feta. So that is definitely something we want to try next time when we go back. So if you're in the area please drive a little further out over the hill to find this wonderful little space.

I had to show them the email confirmation. It was fine and we were still able to sit down right away. The inside wine tasting room is kind of small but the outdoor patio and area makes up for it. It is quite big and open. I think someone can host an outdoor concert or a wedding. We got to taste about five type of wines (Sauvignon Blanc and few blended red wine). They were all good. I particularly like the 2020 Interlude and purchased a bottle for my sister. We also got to sample from their gallery collection library club that's like 20+ years old ( I forgot the exact year) and that was special. They also have dumplings and spring rolls for purchase. I skip that because I wasn't sure if that would go with the wine. We bought some cheese with us and we had that with our wine. Of course, we asked for permission before bringing in our own cheese and crackers. The gentleman that served us was really nice and friendly. We didn't feel rushed and wine was poured at a good pace. I do want to mention that most winery at Amador will comp at least one tasting with purchase, but not at Di Arie. If you're not a member, be prepared to pay the full wine tasting fee per person.

He has an amazing compliment of staff, not to mention a beautiful property that he wants each and every visitor to enjoy. I first discovered Andis Winery years ago, when they used to host an annual crab feed at the Milagro center in Sacramento. I definitely miss those days! I do love the drive up to the Sierra foothills. It's about an hour and change out Of Sacramento, and driving through the beautiful countryside to get to what feels like the rainbow on the other side is definitely worth the drive. Yes, there are other wineries in the area, but this is definitely a must try. The winery will host various events, including winetasting, music, food, events, and even private events. The seating outside is comfortable and lovely, and it's definitely worth going with your besties like I do, to enjoy the wine, the scenery, and of course the company. This is probably one of the few wineries that I've been to where the staff really sticks. I enjoy going in at different times of the year, seeing familiar faces, and having everyone remember me. It just makes the experience super special. They have a wine club that is absolutely worth joining, and for a period of time I was a member, and the deals they offer are pretty phenomenal. Definitely worth visiting because you'll wanna go back time and time again.

We also bought lunch from the Kitchen which is a walk up counter service and a bottle of wine from the tasting room. From the Kitchen, I ordered the southwest salad and added grilled chicken for an extra $5. The salad was uneventful. The chicken was a measly portion that was served in a small container that is the same size container that the salad dressing was served in. Where's the chicken?! The chicken also had no flavor. Bummer. But the Dave burger and side of Caesar salad looked so darn delicious. Folks in my group that ordered that, devoured theirs. Big, fat juicy burger. The onion rings was a hit for me, crisp golden fried beer batter sweet onion rings. Delicious. The audible crunch just made it more satisfying. The housemade kettle chips were thick, toothsome, and salty. Very flavorful. My glass of wine was so darn delicious. Light, crisp and smooth. Darn... I forgot the name of the wine. There is also a wine cave, folks can make reservations for tastings in the cave. The cave is below the amphitheater. The small amphitheater is aesthetically eye catching.
