And they really need to put dump buckets on the table. We had to dump wine off the side of the patio rail and consolidate into glasses, in order to reuse glasses. kinda yucky. The meat on the French dip sandwich tasted good, just very thin for $19. Wines: decent flavor, fairly smooth and not much bitterness for budget wine. Our table liked the two whites and a few of the reds. The venue: Industrial. There were kids on the dining patio. Overall: Affordable experience. Nice wine for people on a budget. Pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem of a boutique winery off the beaten track. What lured me here was the promise of oysters. They get these brought in from the East coast during the weekend. I just happened to be here on a Sunday so we ordered a half dozen from Massachusetts. At $17, they came with three different sauces and lemon. I can't recall the names of them, there were two varieties - one was definitely more briny while the other was more buttery. (Also their house made potato chips with truffle oil are AMAZING.) Lovely open patio space which is handy during these pandemic times. I was here during the winter, so the sun was a welcome addition - when the weather turns hotter hopefully there is some overhead shade! There are also space heaters, but we didn't need to use any. The wines here are sourced from various regions in California - from Monterey to Paso Robles. Their Barbera is local but the majority of the wines are from the Paso area. My personal favorites were the Nebbiolo and the Chardonnay, ended up getting two bottles of those. If you check in on Yelp (as of January 2022), you can get two tastings for $10. Normally these are $10 each. Service was very friendly and highly knowledgable. In fact, the person working here actually teaches classes on wine at Folsom Lake College! Highly recommended if you're in Amador county! Owned by a nice couple. Wife is the chef and husband oversees the wine tasting and winery. Staffs are super friendly and welcoming. The porch is open with lay back atmosphere. We were recommended to come here for the raw oysters and lobster rolls. So, we didn't really come here for the wine, because we already went to two other wineries before this one. So, it was a perk that the sparkling wine and rosé were very good and paired well with the food. Raw oysters - it was fresh and clean! Have you ever try to open an oyster? It's a lot of work and not an easy task without stabbing yourself with the shucking knife. I also love the pomegranate vingear sauce! Their oysters are from Maine! There weren't any lobster left because we got there late. I would definitely come back just for the lobster rolls and more sparkling wine! read more

My family and I stayed in Plymouth over Veteran's Day weekend and had an incredible experience at Lusso Della Terra, which came highly recommended by the staff at Borjon (also wonderful). This husband-and-wife team just moved to the area from Paso Robles and were pouring wine in a garage, offering oysters (whoa!), salmon plates, and cheeses to complement the wines. We especially loved the Pinot Noir, though we left with probably 8 bottles total. Amador County wineries are wonderful in general but this hidden gem (not for long) was a definite highlight. Paso Robles wine tasting region is spread out into pockets and groups of wineries. Recently I found a new little pocket north east Paso. It's nice as there usually is a few places you can try and they are near each other. One of those wineries is Lusso Della Terra. You start by entering off the road and drive through some of their vineyards to get a little taste of what is to come. As you pull up you have their production facilities to the left and their tasting room and outdoor area straight ahead. As I walked up you could hear the sounds of saxophone music and people happily hanging out under the many and large tree areas. The outdoor area was covered with beautiful trees and felt lush and cool. Was a nice break from the Paso Robles sun. I sat outside and their tasting menu usually has a cheese that pairs well together with their delicious wines. This tasting I tried 2 whites and 3 red wines. Usually I am a red drinker and was happily surprised with the light and tasty white wines. The reds were no exception to that refined taste and delicious pairing with the cheeses. Yum. All five wines were unique and shared just a little of the vision and style of LDT. The patio is a perfect way to take in the day or event while you sip some wine and relax. The inside is beautiful and they have a full wall painted with a winery scene (looks like an Italian vineyard). Definitely with the drive and the near by wineries make it another bonus pairing so you don't have to drive much once you get out there. Enjoy and share your experiences and favorite wines as well. Went to this winery during the Big Crush event Oct 2021 Found a wine we loved and joined the wine club. Now 6 weeks later we got a shipment of mediocre wine and were charged twice what we were told the cost would be. After numerous attempts to correct this, Megan assured us she would refund us and send the original wine we wanted. Still no refund. No wine. They seem very disorganized and unsure of what's up. We have tasted at over 75 wineries in the Paso Area and have found the Good, Bad and Ugly. We still enjoy searching out places we haven't experienced. LDT moved from their tasting room in Downtown Paso to this beautiful San Miguel property. Looks like their tradition of having entertainment and events will be maintained out here. Energetic person pouring the tastings. This was the former J&J Winery. The line-up is totally different from that one. A good balance of white, pink and red offerings. The cheese pairing with the wines is a proper way to present their wines...Kudos for doing that. We found the Roussanne to be yummy and bought some for our summer wine needs. Joined the club, so we will have a reliable supply in the future. Easy club to join because you can tailor your choices. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I had an amazing experience here!! We were recommended this winery by a nearby winery and told it was newly opened. Right when we walked in, one of the owners was crushing grapes! We got to watch the process and even join in! It was so cool and something I've never experienced before. After giving it a try, it was hard btw, we washed up and were seated on their beautiful outdoor deck. We were served by the owner and she was so nice and took the time to get to know us and share her life with us. The wine was delicious and so was their ceviche. Wow wow wow - we are absolutely blown away by our recent visit to Lusso Della Terra's estate on the beautiful San Miguel Pleasant Valley Trail. We arrived with two dogs, were greeted sooooo friendly by the staff, and shown to a gorgeous shaded terrace overlooking the estate. The day we came in, they offered free tastings, so we settled down and stayed much longer than we originally intended. I did a white wine tasting, my partner a white/red tasting, which you can usually get for just $5 each when you use Yelp's check-in offer! Each tasting included 5 different wines, with a plethora of variety. The big stand-outs for us were the Albariño and the amazing Verdejo, even though we're not usually big white wine drinkers. Both were buttery, and absolutely delightful. For reds, we can be picky and usually like big bold reds, here we definitely liked the Reserve Pinot Noir best. They had incredible case specials that we considered, and plan to take advantage of in the future. The staff was so kind to also let me compare several Chardonnays (meh for me) and gave us a taste of the Port, which I loooooved so much! That one will definitely come home with me next time, it's $28 per bottle. We are already planning to come back soon and take their wines home, rarely have we experienced such wonderful staff, great places to sit and enjoy nature, and total dog-friendliness. What a beautiful setting with delicious wine offerings!! The owners were so nice and so friendly and just treated us like friends they've known for awhile. The Rousanne wine was a particular favorite with just enough of a buttery finish to make a sumptuous aftertaste. This could go down dangerously quick on a warm summer day or any day for that matter. The white Zinfandel was another surprise. So many white Zins are too sweet and have a bitter aftertaste. This white Zin was a perfect balance of a bit of dryness with a smooth finish. Finally the Cabernet Franc was a nice way to end our tasting at Lusso Della Terra. The Cab was a lighter style Cabernet Franc but very flavorful and delicious tasting. My sister took me on a weekend trip to Paso Robles to do some wine tasting before my wedding. The morning we were going to leave we decided to yelp some other wineries to hit up on our way home. LTD Cellars has 5 stars so we decided to visit, and let me tell you, we weren't disappointed. It's a bit deceiving because it's located in a commercial area. We were hesitant but decided that there's a reason why they have 5 stars. So we went in and were greeted by a very sweet and enthusiastic lady( I'm so sorry but I cannot remember her name). The tastings were paired with some of the best cheeses I've ever had. We were also taken into the barrel room and given a tasting of merlot straight from the barrel! The estate is beautiful with rolling vineyards and a great outdoor area to enjoy your wine at. Their wine was absolutely delicious as were their fries! Burger looked great too. I just discovered Pleasant Valley wine trail and I love it! What a change of pace. LDT is a great place to visit with down to earth people and down to earth wines. The bartender at the Plymouth Hotel recommended this winery and I'm really glad she did. We arrived and noticed they were pretty busy. Turned out it was the member wine pick up event. They were doing a wine tasting of their current release paired with a delicious menu from a local catering company. Looked amazing! For regular customers, you had the option of a wine tasting with a cheese pairing or you could do a sampling of their sparkling wines. We went with the wine & cheese. Both were $10 each. They also offered a menu featuring oysters, caviar, sliders and more. It all looked delicious, but we had just eaten and stuck to the cheese. We were escorted to the large back deck where a trained opera singer was solo singing some amazing covers. The wines were fantastic! The winemaker was pouring and was more than happy to discuss the wines and provide far more than the 5 tastings in the menu. Ended up leaving with two cases and a membership. Overall, a fantastic experience! They're also dog friendly. Love that!! read more
