Wow what a great place! Nestled in beautiful Fiddletown, beautiful surroundings, and beautiful wine. Everything we tried lovely with the exception of the Petite Syrah....it was good, just a little too gritty for our palettes. The service was great and we enjoyed our visit very much. We will return!

Thanks to Tiffany K. for her review and have convinced me to try Di Arie Vineyard & Winery. I made…read morereservation in advance by email because no one answered the phone and no option to leave a message. When I got there, they didn't have my name for reservation. I had to show them the email confirmation. It was fine and we were still able to sit down right away. The inside wine tasting room is kind of small but the outdoor patio and area makes up for it. It is quite big and open. I think someone can host an outdoor concert or a wedding. We got to taste about five type of wines (Sauvignon Blanc and few blended red wine). They were all good. I particularly like the 2020 Interlude and purchased a bottle for my sister. We also got to sample from their gallery collection library club that's like 20+ years old ( I forgot the exact year) and that was special. They also have dumplings and spring rolls for purchase. I skip that because I wasn't sure if that would go with the wine. We bought some cheese with us and we had that with our wine. Of course, we asked for permission before bringing in our own cheese and crackers. The gentleman that served us was really nice and friendly. We didn't feel rushed and wine was poured at a good pace. I do want to mention that most winery at Amador will comp at least one tasting with purchase, but not at Di Arie. If you're not a member, be prepared to pay the full wine tasting fee per person.

Their tasting…read moreincluded their vintage wines: 2013 Onstage, ActII (my ultimate favorite), 2010 Touriga National and 2007 D'Arideaux. OMG, they were all very delicious. They did their pairings with a Mediterranean lunch. This was also amazing. They also providdd a tasting of their more recent wines, 2019 Sierra Legend! It's a Terri blend of Cab Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Syrah and Primitivo! The host and hostess were all very friendly and knowledgeable! And of course to meet and chat with the wine maker himself, Chaim, was a wonderful treat! The grounds were small, but very cute and relaxing. It made for a warm, friendly ambiance! Of course we walked away with a case of the Sierra and the 3 OG vintage wines! We're definitely coming back in a few weeks. Thank you Di Arie!

This winery is great, with the potential to be outstanding. The facility, formerly known as Bray…read morewinery, underwent a transformation by the new ownership to create Krissie Vineyards. In my opinion, they are doing so many things to enhance the wine tasting experience, it could blow away the competition. Examples are as follows: 1. Rebuilding, refinishing and updating the tasting room and facility. 2. Hiring the former Sous Chef from Taste restaurant to create food offerings/pairings and provide a small bite sample with wine tasting. 3. Display unique and unusual art in and around the property. (They have seven full size panels from the Berlin Wall adjacent to the tasting room.) 4. Staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. 5. The wine pricing is reasonable when compared to the quality. 6. Both the food and wine are excellent. That said, I think the one possible stumbling point could be their attempt to blend in their east coast sister wines and styles with this region. It might be an interesting idea, but I am uncertain people locally will appreciate or understand the effort. The Amador wine region is not Napa Valley, and I don't think it possesses the international appeal, notoriety or demographics that will support the concept of bi-coastal wines. In any event, we will return to further experience the ongoing evolution of this remarkable winery.

A few things I tried on this visit: A bottle of rose to share: it came chilled which is perfect for the hot weather. The color is beautiful and such a delight to sip~ A loaf of ciabatta and a block of smoked Gouda: I love that you can order food items with your wine tasting. Would have gone for the charcuterie but I wasn't super hungry. The ciabatta is warmed and brought out, so tasty. The Gouda is delicious too, goes very well with wine~ A glass of Resolute (red wine): a very tasty red I love it so much ended up getting a bottle of it to take home~ Service is friendly and attentive. The tasting associates are very knowledgeable. I also really love their wine ambassadors roaming around greeting everyone. Wine ambassadors are the winery pups haha. During my visit I said hi to Brixie. She is very helpful. I accidentally dropped a tiny piece of cheese on the floor when I was cutting it. She cleaned it up RIGHT AWAY. Such impeccable attention to details 10 out of 5 stars. (But please don't intentionally feed the wine ambassador pups. I really wanted to pick it up myself but she is FAST. I'll be more careful next time) I really enjoyed my time here and looking forward to my next visit~
