When my parents went to Distinctive Carpet and Tile, I thought this was going to be yet another story of complaints. To my surprise, they were not only extremely happy with the service and installation but they couldn't stop raving about the two owners: Paul and Jason Lieberman. I later found out that this business was started by their father who has since retired so I think this is very special that this store is really family and quite the generations of store owners. They have been around for years and after having met them myself while in the area on vacation, I was also pleasantly greeted. These guys are just down to earth and you feel right at home. Jason and Paul first did our downstairs flooring last year, and recommended a laminate wood floor that was exceptional and changed the whole look of the house! In 2018 a leak soaked the carpets in 3 rooms, we walked into Distinctive Carpet & Tile and Paul and Jason immediately arranged for a crew to take out the wet carpets and helped us in selecting the replacement carpets which were perfectly installed by Steve their installer. Last week we had to pull part of the carpet in one of the rooms and called Distinctive Carpet & Tile to see about putting it back and again Jason came through helping us sending Steve even before the day he was supposed to come. Most of the living areas in our home have ceramic tile flooring. However, we decided to replace 20-year-old carpeting in a relatively unused Jack-and-Jill bedroom area with wood-like laminate. Friend recommended Jason and Paul, so we stopped by store after doing a lot of shopping around. Jason and Paul were very helpful in making a wood flooring suggestion for a master bedroom and carpeting for 3 other rooms. The wood installer Hugo was a perfectionist and did an outstanding job with the wood floor. A week later and right on time the carpeting installers came in and did great job moving furniture around and removing old carpeting and installing new carpeting. The people at DCT were amazing. I walked into the store and met with Jason on NYE day. 48 hrs later the carpet was installed. Great price and quality.
