The technician was late (I looked at other reviews and it's not just me-she is late a lot) and wasn't sure if I was even in the right place. She was very nice but the lashes were way too long and unnatural looking -by day 2 the glue was rock hard and the lashes were all stuck together. I had to buy removal solvent myself to remove them. Then I had to wait a month while they strengthened to get new ones. (the solvent dries them out.) I found artisan lash in buckhead and they are the best. She only spends 1.5 hours on a volume fill. The lash glue can't dry properly and the lash tech isn't attaching the lashes to individual lashes -she is cheap and fast but it's an awful result. Note the photo how the lashes are clumped. I came to Distinctive Lashes on 5/26/16 Thursday evening. By Friday most of of my right eye lashes fell out and that evening I had a severe allergic reaction that caused me to have to got to urgent care get a Benadryl shot and a steroid shot plus four prescriptions. I called and left a message and Porshe called back said they needed to be compensated for there time and there would be no refund because I had an allergic reaction. They only thing they would do is refill my eyelashes again. I wouldn't go here. The lashes were hard and the glue must be some toxic stuff to cause such a reaction. I have never had a reaction like this. In response to Porche reply, I never had eyelashes so I didn't know about an allergy. However you now mentioning that there is a sensitive glue let's me know that the original glue must be toxic if there is an alternative. However I was unaware of another glue option. I understand about valuing time and that part makes sense, however, I guess I was hoping for better customer empathy. As well as customer satisfaction by making it better. Maybe offer another service at a discounted rate to keep a customer even though the lashes didn't work out. I still feel the same but thank you for replying. read more

Loved it! The communication between the ladies and I was great! They were nice and welcoming at booking! Also very nice during the confirmation time as well. The parking was easy and accessible. DO NOT GO HERE! terrible customer service. I scheduled an appointment last week for eyelash extensions, the morning of my appointment I got a text from her saying she was running behind and needed to move my appointment 30 minutes later. I agreed. I went to the building arrived 5 minutes before my appointment unsure if I was at the right place or not because it looked sketchy and smelled terrible. I called the business no one answered, I text her a few times and no reply. I knocked on the door, no one Answered. An HOUR after my appointment she text me and said she was sorry for the inconvenience. I'm at hairstylist and many of my clients knew I was going to get them and also planned to book an appointment. She missed out on lots of business because she's so unprofessional. read more

You get what you pay for! My lashes aren't correctly attached/glued to my natural lashes, therefore every time I blink they stick to my bottom lashes. The technician asked me what length I wanted, so I said medium but not too long. Instead of giving me or showing me some options in length, she had me lay down, close my eyes and started the application. If you know anything about these semipermanent lashes you know there are over 10 lengths to choose from. But, she's the "professional" so I allowed her expertise. When she was finished is the only time I got to see the length, TOO LONG! Also, The lashes are of low quality so they bend and misshape easily. My right eye is a little bent inward and looks awkward, and 5 of the lashes have fallen off. Scheduling was a bit difficult as well. Go somewhere else! read more

Got eyelashes today. I am super happy with them, I have nothing to compare them too, since I have never had them before. They look pretty natural and good which is what I was looking for. I have lashes that are missing and she was not able to give me the full look I looking for as I didn't have the lashes there to glue them to. So given what Porscha had to work with she did good. I came here to get my eyelashes done for my bday. The place looked really nice. My appt was at 11am and Michelle started on time. I got the natural lashes which I was told took no more than an hour. Michelle did not finish until 1:30! In those 2.5 hours she didn't speak and had glued my eyes together and kept stabbing me in the eye while trying to pick at the glue. When I finally was able to open my eyes, she didn't apologize or anything, just handed me an eye brow brush and said thank you! Horrible experience!! Please go somewhere more professional! read more

I wasn't very happy with this company. I bought a groupon and the link to the website takes you to a teaching website that is not for appointments. I called numerous times, e-mailed and sent a text message to try to schedule before my groupon expired. When I finally spoke to the owner she said "Oh, you can book online". I told her I was trying to book before my groupon expired. Thinking that maybe I missed a small section on the website, I went back and again...wrong website. Well, I finally had to google the company to find the right website to book an appointment. Well...of course there were no appointments before my groupon expired. I explained this in my request for an appointment hoping this company would honor my groupon since it was their fault that I couldn't get an appointment scheduled. Well, that didn't happen even after her appointment booking service sent me 3 e-mails to the wrong location in Lithia Springs when I needed to be in Smyrna and my appointment was at 1pm but I received a text at 12:30 pm that she was running late and wouldn't be there until 1:20pm. I drove 30 minutes to finally get serviced in a non-air-conditioned building. No accommodation, no real customer service and I was generally just disappointed. The only good part was the technician that applied the lashes. She was nice! Most successful small businesses are all about customer service. I spoke to the owner and she was a disappointment and short-sided in her thinking. I'm a professional woman with tons of friends and sorority sisters that can easily afford her full-priced service and I can't recommend her business at all. I don't usually write reviews but I really hopes she reads this review and realizes that she should have mitigated all the inconveniences. She missed an opportunity for a great customer with lots of referrals to get an extra $30. Of course, there will more opportunities but I hope she steps her customer service game up. read more

I have been to distinctive lash three separate occasions , for my last visit, I did a package I received teeth whitening, lash refill, and a v-steam. My lash refill was performed by Porsche and she did a great job ,super satisfied they were for long, glamorous and still looked very natural . Next I did the v-steam which I've had other places and it was an OK experience Michelle attended to me and she was super friendly and chair was very comfortable , a private room but that may not be a service I get it there again, it did not have the same feel/effect that I had received at other places and may be in part to using an infrared light versus just steaming. Next I did the teeth whitening also not another service I would redo , it felt a bit rushed it says 90 minutes but I'm pretty sure I was only in the chair for 30, it is a kit that you apply yourself and it's facilitated by a technician which means you apply the whitening gel yourself. With that being said do not expect dramatic results on the scale I start out at an 11/12 range and ended and possibly at 13. Over all it's a very nicely decorated and a professional environment of all the times I've been here I've never been offered a refreshment. Lashes are what they specialize in and I will continue to go for that particular service but I look forward to the growth in other areas. read more

I went for the 1st time today to get a full set and coincidentally, it was their grand opening. My appointment was for 12pm, but the technician called to tell me she was running 20 minutes late. I did appreciate the courtesy. Anyway, Cora was really nice and my new lashes are actually growing on me. She was pretty thorough in applying them. It's still too early to tell how they will hold up, but if they do, I'll definitely go back for a fill in. The staff was very nice and friendly. Also a good location. read more
