I will have to get used to the switching of the lash techs, had one that started on me and since my eyes were closed, I didnt realize there had been a switcheroo, but I was assured that all techs do similar work so there was no need to worry. You cannot book a specific stylist, as it's a first available tech policy but again, seems to work for now so I will be returning. I like their rewards program which is a plus. This place is black owned by two amazing sisters that are just killing the game in accomplishments. I had the pleasure of meeting them both, and their amazing mother both visits. I found this place on Instagram and took advantage of their grand opening/ Mother's Day specials! My first visit was just for my lashes. i booked an appointment for with this company may 1st & was every excited to be serviced by them because i seen their work on instagram & loved it. the day of my appointment came, i was on my way to the appointment & unfortunately i was in a small accident. i communicated with one of the workers & she informed me that i would still be able to come if i could. & i was able to still come because the accident wasn't serious. i received another phone call from them & she told me that they were gonna reschedule my appointment for me. after a few days they emailed me & told me if i wanted to reschedule i had to pay them.. which caught me off guard because i was never told that i had to pay for them to reschedule me & i also didn't ask to reschedule the appointment, they were the ones to offer to reschedule. it was very poor communication on their end. read more

Initially, I loved my lashes. They looked exactly as I imagined they would look. Unfortunately, after only one day I noticed them falling out. I originally thought it was just my lashes going through their natural growth cycle, until I started collecting the lash extensions and realized there was no natural lash hair attached to the extension. I figured the lash technician just stuck those extensions in anywhere to create a fuller look. After a few days I started to notice lash clusters falling out. Literally rolling down my face onto the floor. Again, these clusters were not attached to my natural lash. This is when I started to worry because the lash technician never mentioned she would be using lash clusters. In fact, when we were discussing length options, she only showed me individual lash extension. If I would have know lash clusters were going to be used, I never would have booked with A Lash Life. I never would have paid 100+ dollars for lash clusters when I've gotten clusters in the past for $35 - $40. A little more transparency regarding the type of extensions being used would have been nice. Two stars because the receptionist was super friendly. She offered care instructions and let me know what to avoid to preserve the longevity of my lashes. This was my first time getting lashes, I've been wanting them for a while but since lash techs come a dime of dozen it's hard to weed out who's really worth spending your money on. I found A Lash Life on my Instagram feed as a promoted post and was even more excited to see that they were coming to DC/MD this week and that they would be having a permanent location here! Love this place! This is my first time getting lash extensions in the Atlanta/Buckhead area and A Lash Life was a pleasant experience. I got the Perfect Set and I love it. It looks natural but really enhances my lash look. I get lots of compliments from my friends. The technicians there do a great job and service is great. They're really nice. This is one of the worse eyelash experiences I've had. If I could give 0 stars I definitely would! I told the lady doing my lashes that I could see all of the lashes, you could literally see every individual lash and the last ball point. My lashes also had glue sticking the hairs together that I had to notice and point out to her to correct. I've gotten my lashes done before and they never looked as bad as this, especially where you literally see every lash (ballpoint, cluster etc.). They used mostly cluster lashes, for a classic set of lashes, it's embarrassing going out in public with these lashes on. My lashes are also falling off daily. I had at least 5-7 fall off the day after I got them installed and then more than 7 the next day. I now have gaps in between my eyelashes that look crazy, this is truly unacceptable and I have had the lashes on for only 2 full days!! I contacted the store because the manager wasn't there at the time of my appointment and they have yet to contact me. I paid close to $100 for something that literally looks horrible and is falling out. These lashes won't last a week at the rate they are falling off. My lashes look unprofessional and it is truly unacceptable. I will never come to this establishment again. A true waste of money and time! A update: so the owner of the company just called me and said because I wrote a negative review that they will not try to fix their mistakes. She basically said to me, why would we try to fix it when you wrote a negative review and I told her because first the review is true, also because the review could be changed or removed and and most importantly because you care about your customers! Beware of this company. I have never had a company tell me because I spoke my mind about the truth of what happened in appointment with them that they will not fix what they wronged when they were in the wrong. I have never heard of any reputable company do anything like this. She even tried to patronize me asking me do I know how to run a business and I had to correct her and let her know I have my own business and I would never treat any customer like this! Ever! That is not good customer service at all! That shows the heart and what to expect from this company. I wrote my review to let people know my experience. I have the freedom to speak my mind and because this company wanted to silence me shows that freedom of speech, even one persons speech is so impactful! Never let anyone try to take your freedoms away! The fact that she said that because I wrote a negative review they wouldn't fix it truly took me by surprise, and she thinks that's ok to say to someone who just had an horrible experience at her establishment. I even told her that when people write negative reviews that's true, like mine is and proof is attached,that as a business that "cares" about their customers that's when you contact the customer and try to fix the situation, and that shows the customer hey this is a company I can do business with in the long run, especially when it's true, but for her to waste my time with calling me to say hey we aren't going to fix our lashes because you wrote a negative review and basically not even asking me what happened at my appointment, not showing any sympathy or concern about what I experienced with her company and that the lashes are falling off and improperly installed but just talking about how my review looks bad on her company shows that this company is not one I should have ever patroned. She only cares about her image not her customer, that is truly truly sad. What gets me is that she never even asked what happened at my appointment not once. I have never had this experience with any company after writing a truthful review that was about a negative experience, most of the companies I had bad experiences with and I wrote a review about the experience contacted me to try and fix it and I would even remove the review or change it because they atleast cared enough to try and fix it, that shows the customer hey I care about your experience, I care about you as a customer! I am still surprised by the actions that were just taken by the owner contacting me, I didn't even write about everything that was bad that happened but it is ok because I will never patron this establishment again! read more

I have been debating wether I should post or not, but decided if anything I should warn other people against going here. I went, reluctantly, for the second time because my normal girl had to cancel and I had a wedding to go to the next day. Long story. The first time I went, I was overcharged. I asked about this charge and was met with fierce opposition from the owner that I had had service done (that I did not). She told me she had pictures of me (because she wasn't there and the woman at the desk didn't know how to fix the charge) She of course was not able to produce the pictures. She said I saw one tech, but it was actually a different one and still didn't remove the excess. I had bought a package, so I would have had a credit for the next visit, but I didn't want to go back. Months later when my normal girl had to cancel, I went (because I had the credit and they had an opening and I thought I would give it a second chance since it wasn't about the service I received (my lashes looked great when I left the first time and the woman was very nice). I went in. They couldn't locate the credit. I couldn't find my email with the credit. Didn't matter. I was going to do it either way and try to sort that out later. They asked me to put my bag on the counter because it was in their way (but somehow my shoes weren't) the bag was across the room. I'm the only client in the building. It took three hours for a refill (which they stated I needed a whole new set and I definitely did not). They gave me an extra service that I didn't ask for (and of course I had to pay for). They kept brushing the lash over and over and it seemed to be taking a very long time. I kept thinking something is wrong. Then someone walked in the door and they were taking the tape off. The lashes didn't make it through the week (even with the extra), but that wasn't the biggest problem. The problem was that I had a stack of 20's in the bag that I was going to pay with, but oddly when I left I had two twenties and a stack of $1 bills. I didn't want to accuse anyone of stealing at this point, but then my debit card started getting declined charges (I canceled them as soon as I left because I had a bad feeling). I can't say for certain that this happened because my eyes were taped shut, but when you take money out of the atm that morning and then it's not there and then you start geeking online charges made on your account, but you still have your card......someone went through my purse and I got shitty service!!! read more

This company lacks communication with customers. I paid for the online training and a kit and they did not send me the kit. I reached out multiple times trying to get answers. Once I put in a Paypal dispute, they reached out with a response as to why I didn't receive my kit. They claim I did not complete a registration form, yet they sent me the meeting ID, link, and password for the online training. If I was simply missing a form, they should have simply said that rather than take my $125 and not say anything. I would not recommend them to anyone wanting to learn how to do lashes. i've had my lashes done for the past two years, so I know how it works, how to take care of them properly, and how I want them to look. I had them done once last year in January and it turned out pretty well so that is why I booked with A lash life again this year. When i was booking for my appointment a couple weeks back, I was told that if I want my lash length to be arranged in a certain way, i'd have to pay extra for a car eye look(rather than a doll eye which is what they offer). First off, this has never happened in my past appointments with my other artist back in new york, but whatever, i paid anyways. When i got to my appointment, i was being worked on by once artist, mid way through, they changed my artist to someone else. At this point, i've expressed what I want for my eyes three times which I don't mind as long as they are what i'm looking for. I explained specifically that I want curls from 8 to 13 with 8 being the inner corner and 13 at the end(creating a cat eye look which is what i've always done) and said that I am willing to pay extra(which never happened in other salons) to get the desired look. When everything was done, my lashes still looked pretty scarce, compared to what i'm used to, and what seemed like a supervisor came over and told my artist to put more on. after couple attempts, it was still pretty scarce, but i was running late because i've been there for 2 hours so i left. When I got home and took a closer look at it, it seemed that i only had one length on my eyes. When i take pictures or look in the mirror, i can't even see a difference from before, which was very frustrating. Within a week of getting my lashes, about half or more fell out and now i'm left with a couple lingering in the middle of my eye on both eyes. I know that it's not because of how I care for them because i've been doing this for over 2 years and never had this ever happened to me before. I usually get a refill at 3 weeks and even then, my lashes don't look nearly as scarce as they look a week after this appointment. I feel like i was worked on by a new artist, which made this experience very unpleasant given that i paid over 100$ for these lashes. I patronized this business on 03/28/21 at the Austell location. The tech that serviced me was Faith Hudson. It took about 1.5 hours to complete the service. After the service, she asked me if I liked my lashes and I said yes after looking it at it quickly (I should have addressed this right then and there but I didn't look closely). I get to my car and notice that the lashes looked really sparse. I also notice that one eyelid is less filled than the other. Before she began she asked me what type of lashes I like I told her that I did not want to look like i just have mascara on and thats pretty much what these lashes look like. As I began to look at my lashes more and more through out the day I began to get more and more heated. This does not look like lashes ANYONE should pay 140 dollars for. I reached out to the business via instagram DM for a refund and even messaged the owner via DM and no one has responded. The photos attached are all from the exact date the service was done. On Nov 8th, I got a full dream set and paid over $100. Within less than two-three days of getting them, many of the lashes on my left eye were falling out. At first, I thought it was because of my natural lash cycle. (FYI, I had eyelash extensions before with someone else, so I know how to properly sleep, not to rub my eyes, no Oily products near the extensions, not to get them wet 48 hrs after getting them, etc.) However when the lashes would fall out I would notice not one of my natural lashes was attached to the extension. Within a week, people could notice a significant difference in my eyelashes because one eye barely had any extensions on them and the right eye looked like it had a full set still! My grandmother who used to do false lash extensions too explained to me to go back and to just inform the lash techs about what happened. Last Tuesday, November, 26, I did just that but my lash tech immediately told me it wasn't their fault it was the way I was caring for them. I explained to her that I know how to care for lashes because I had them before coming to A Lash Life Atl and it had never occurred so quickly. She just reminded me to once again be careful with them and told me the basic rules of eyelash extensions. It has now been not even 5 days and I literally have less than 5 lash extensions on my left eye (The same eye that kept losing eyelash extensions the first time!) Now I look weird because I have an eye that has a ton of lashes on it and an eye that has none! Once again, I followed ALL the rules for lash extensions yet they didn't last at all and when the lashes come out NOT ONE OF MY NATURAL LASHES IS ATTACHED TO IT! I don't know if it's cause they weren't applying enough adhesive or if my eyelash hairs are too fine for A Lash Life but unfortunately I won't be back. With less than a month, I spent almost $200 on these eyelash extensions from A Lash Life for them to only give me the "dreamy" look for less than a week after getting them both times. read more
