Randi helped me with my extensions application. She was kind and friendly. I was very tired from working night shift so I fell asleep halfway through. Application took just under 2 hrs. My lashes looked beautiful and felt fine as I left. However when I went home, within the hr I noticed that my lashes felt prickly and uncomfortable whenever I blinked or squinted. I didn't remember this feeling at all; last time I didnt have any discomfort as I moved my eyes naturally. As I looked closer in the mirror, it looked like some glue/extensions were so close that they were on my eyelid. I texted glow beauty bar; However I fell asleep and had many errands to run so I didn't see that they responded promptly. I wasn't able to respond until the next day. I received another text that they would be able to squeeze me in! I went in for the fix. This time Roz assisted me herself. She cleaned, took off the layer that was attached to the eyelid and I was in and out in about 35 mins. Now it's the same like the first time, very comfortable. I don't feel the lashes at all but when I look in the mirror, it looks perfect and I feel fabulous (I promise I'm not vain...hehe). She gives you a thorough consultation and takes her time with your skin. My skin was glowing for weeks. So, I tried it and could not be happier with the results! My face just feels fuller and looks healthier. I went here about a week ago with my boyfriend after we found a Groupon for teeth whitening. We were greeted but two of the cutest ladies at the front desk. One was named Elli I think and I don't remember the name of the other lady, but she was sweet with a short cut. They were SUPER nice, very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The woman who set me up was named Charlotte and she was also pleasant and made the teeth whitening experience smooth. We were satisfied with our experience, our treatments, the establishment...everything. We are definitely going back soon. My boyfriend would like his teeth to be whiter so this will be the place we return to. Parking is great, there's a lot. As soon as we got there we were offered tea and/or water which was nice (I love tea but since I was getting my teeth whitened I opted out). The place is very clean, spacious and comfortable. Definitely a calm, spa-like ambience that is relaxing. If you find a groupon for this place, BUY IT! It is definitely worth it. Worst facial I have EVER received. The steamer did not work. She did 30 seconds of extractions and it seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. She literally made my skin worse and more congested which was extremely upsetting. The person doing the facials was sweet but she needs to learn how to give a proper facial. It was so bad my mother saw my skin and immediately called another spa to try and get me in ASAP knowing that what Glow did would cause a flare up if not corrected by a properly trained aesthetician. Apparently the person I received my facial from leases space from Glow. This is news to me as I researched the establishment by address. Shame on both parties for not making sure that they tell customers the facial will not be performed by glow. Very impressed! Glow Beauty Bar is located in the heart of Smyrna Georgia. Right off of South Cobb Drive in the same shopping center as the World Gym. When you walk inside it is very open warm and comforting. Very trendy and elegant. Warm colors of lavender and white decorate this quaint little Spa. They have a full menu of services that include anything from chemical peels, body contouring, permanent makeup, Botox as well as two chairs for pedicures. The prices are very good and affordable. The botox was $10 a unit and if you book another appointment before you leave you lock in the $10 a unit rate. It would normally go up to $12 a unit. While waiting to be seen I was comforted by Ellie who is excellent. She answers the front desk and handles all the front-end work. She took time to know me and ask me questions and made me feel comfortable waiting for my appointment. I was greeted by Dawnelle who I absolutely loved! She is the nurse practitioner that comes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and she does my Botox. I hadn't had anyone really break down and explain to me the different muscles that the botox could help. She showed me a chart of a woman's face and all the muscles and numbers where you can get botox. She even told me some of the misconceptions that I had been told previously when I got the service. She took out the box and showed me to look to see the difference in fake Botox versus real period that many other places are providing fake Botox. I came across this location through Groupon and wanted to give them a try based on their price and location. The overall contact and communication with this location was very pleasant and professional. During my first call, I informed an associate that I was interested in purchasing the Groupon for $129 that provided a full 60-lash service with a senior talent tech and a touch up. I was informed that the Groupon price could be honored in-house. I moved forward to potential booking, however, the date I had in mind was booked but was placed on a call list in the event someone canceled. Unfortunately, no one canceled so I booked a service for the following week. Upon booking my new appointment, the Groupon rate had changed and the service was $25 more. I was informed that the salon couldn't honor the original offer that I initially called in on. This was frustrating as I would have purchased the initial one had they not informed me they would honor the price in-house. Needless to say, I was turned off by this. I moved forward with purchasing the higher package because I explained to the tech that I'd never had individual lashes done and wanted to ensure I had a plan in place to properly maintain them. Upon meeting with the tech, she showed my templates of the type of lash style she could deliver. Of course, I'm not familiar with lengths and so forth, but I did communicate that I wanted a look that would enhance my eyes and something that wasn't too gaudy. The tech was very professional and the experience of having lashes done was somewhat uncomfortable in the eye area but that's probably normal. Upon completion of the service, she handed me a mirror and I literally thought...."why don't I see a change and that it just looks like I have on a little bit of mascara". I informed the tech that while the work is probably nice, I couldn't tell a difference from my natural lashes and the ones she installed. She informed me that some of my lashes were more slanted and she had to adjust the faux lashes. She informed me that she would do a longer length on the next installment to give me the look I wanted to achieve. Well clearly that sucks because I just dropped $150 for lashes and wondered why you wouldn't have provided that look the first time. Needless to say, I made my discontent known and everyone just kept saying "oh...we'll take care of it on the next visit". After insulting me with mediocre lashes, they attempted to push a lash conditioner on me for $40...No thanks. I passed. Personally, I believe they used the most basic length of lash and even the amount of lashes because I paid the Groupon rate vs their store rate. If that's the case, maybe they should reconsider using the Groupon platform to lure business in, only to do a horrible job. As the week continued on, no one that came into contact with me noticed any difference in my lashes. I receive loads of compliments when I wear my strip lashes that I spend $12 for...but no one notices $150 lashes...go figure. I contacted the salon and expressed my frustration and requested an appointment for removal. I further asked if there would be a price adjustment since I would not be getting the lashes re-done. I was initially told that I would be offered an in-store credit but upon meeting with the owner, she did the typical "I'll be the super nice owner and discourage the customer from wanting her money back" spill. She removed the lashes and had the guts to invite me back for another lash service that was almost 2x's higher than what I paid before. Needless to say, I will not patronize this location again. Honestly, this experience completely ruined my desire to have individual lashes done again so maybe they were good for something. I can save myself time and money and keep my strip lashes in place. They should hope to keep the great customer service in place because that's the only thing that could earn them a 4-5 star review. Shop around before settling on this place. It was clean, in a good/prime location and had excellent reviews which is why I chose to book here. Moving right along. I purchased a Groupon for a full set of lashes. Over two days I was not able to get anyone on the phone but the voicemail stated that I could send a text- which I did. They did not have anything available until the following week but that is to be expected when being a Groupon customer (full price customers will usually get seen sooner.) I booked for the following Thursday via text. Upon my arrival that day they told me I did not have an appointment because I did not set up a profile and that I should've read the fine print. I can take fault for not reading the fine print but the attitude and disrespect I experienced from the receptionist Ellie was extremely unprofessional. HOW GREAT IS ROZ?!?! SOOOOOO GREAT!!!! I found her on Yelp, after reading the reviews I decided to give it a call. The phone was answered by an answering service, she would take your number and Roz would call you back in a few which she did. I asked her couple questions on the phone, and she explained in details for me which was extremely comforting and made me feel she really knows her stuff and she cares, so I decided to make the appointment. Her shop is in inside of a business building behind a small shopping center, 4th floor, follow the sign, and you will see her door on the left 440. I walked in, she greeted me with the warmest smile and friendliest welcome. Filled out a form, and we got it started. Her office is extremely clean and organized and cozy. You would not feel uncomfortable at all. There are only you and Roz, so very up and personal as well. She showed me some photos of the lashes, and the sample length and curls. We decided on the natural curl which were also 10 and 11mm long. My own lashes are not long at all, so we wanted to keep it as natural as possible, and of course she would help you pick out the lashes according to ur own needs and lashes. You are laying down and have ur eyes closed the whole time, no irritations, no uncomfortable feelings at all. I barely even tear up!!! The whole session was less than an hour because she's very experienced and quick!!! After she air dry it, and peeled off the bottom tapes, I was sooooooo happy that I could nearly feel these lashes at all on my eyes!!!!!!!!!! Why haven't I try this sooner!!!??? I was worried I would feel the weight and it would get into my vision, but NONE OF THAT HAPPENED!!!!!! I'm so happy right now w these lashes!!!! But extremely natural looking. She didn't skimp, I think every lash that could be touched was enhanced. She has over 8 years of experience and she is clearly an expert technician. She showed me photos of the different styles available, and she provided suggestions based on the shape of my eye. This place seems to be an upscale place with all different beauty services. I can not speak for their higher end services but I am reviewing their ultimate glow mani pedi. I got the deal off of groupon and honestly would have been very angry if I paid full price. I feel like it wasn't even worth the groupon price. My appointment was at 1:30 and they pushed it to 2 due to another customer, which was fine, I completely understand how that goes. When you get started it is literally just a bowl and they pour a pitcher of warm water in it...which after 10 minutes is not warm anymore. They have about 20ish colors to choose not including gel. They have the same person doing both services so it takes FOREVER. I am all about pampering myself but almost 3 hours for a mani pedi is a little ridiculous. They lady who did mine did an alright job. One nail was messed up before I left. And as of now it has been 4 days and 6 nails are cracked or chipped and almost all of my toes no longer have polish at the top of the nails...even though I've worn flip flops all week.
