These guys are a joke. You get what you pay for. I had to rewire the fog lights hid lights and other ridge industries lights. They did a hack job. They also used cheap electrical parts. Even the screws are rusting out. The flex tubes all fell apart. Just do it yourself. Build your own ride. Don't pay a non professional to do it. I'll post up pics when I get a chance. read more

I always go to Distinctive Ride, even though I live in Anchorage. Their customer service is excellent. Last time I went was for a purchase of new 35in tires and getting them mounted. They knew I was coming from Anchorage, and during the Corona virus shut down had nowhere to go, so they gave me a loaner truck (which they sanitized between each use). They truly go above and beyond. Would not recommend this business at all. I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance for an aftermarket bumper install. When I called the day before to ask when to bring my vehicle in they said there was no record of my appointment. They said they could squeeze me in anyways to make it right (I understood these things happen and was impressed with this customer service). When I came to get my vehicle at the end of the day they told me the aftermarket bumper was too wide for my vehicle and I would need to get it fabricated to fit. I put the bumper on myself the next day without fabrication and it fit perfectly. They lied to my face. I don't know if they didn't want the business or are just so incompetent that they can't use a measuring tape. read more

Bought a deal here and had a hitch installed. They did it the way they say the manufacturer says to, with the electrical cords inside the hatchback so that you have to run the cords through the door to hook up your trailer lights. They did it in one afternoon and it has worked well for me. As an aside I wish that they had warned me ahead of time that the manufacturer of my SUV has a ridiculously low rating for tow packages (only about 600 pounds!). Many people think this is a typo on the manufacturer's specs since it CAN'T be that low on such a large, popular vehicle but that is what it says. Do you know what trailers are under 600 pounds? Not many! read more

I scheduled a CD radio installation, checked back twice that they would have the correct radio by the date of my appointment, then after it was installed I was told there was no manual. When I said I needed a manual, they gave me a partial refund and said it was a floor model. read more

I had them put in new headlights in my car for our dark winters and the headlights are great. I tend to go through bulbs every couple of years but I think that's my car's fault because my husband's car has them too and he's never had a bulb go out. The bulb replacements are under warranty though so I never have to pay for it. Spencer's very knowledgeable and helpful too. We'll be back for sure! read more

Distinctive Ride is great. I had them put an autostart in my Ford Escape and it worked great. Recently I got got rid of the Escape and got a brand new Honda CR-V. I took the CR-V to Spencer for an autostart when the car was only three days old. Spencer was knowledgable and took the time to answer all of my questions. The autostart was done on time and it worked flawlessly. When they were installing the autostart they put a tiny crack in a panel under the dash. It was small and difficult to see I might not have even noticed it. However, they pointed it out to me. They had already ordered another panel from Honda; two day later they called me to tell me the panel was in. When I got there, they stopped what they were doing and installed the panel in less than five minutes. They were very apologetic for the panel and appreciative of my business. Honest shops that do quality work for a reasonable price are getting harder and harder to find. I will absolutely reccommend them. read more
