My go-to spot for a great Friday or Saturday turn up! Amazing service, lovely ambiance and good vibes. This is my favorite lounge in the DMV area! The owners are always so personable and friendly! Will definitely be back!

The cool mural outside; great photo op!

I just found out about this place about a month ago and it's my new favorite spot! I love the chill atmosphere and GREAT music! They feature different local DJs who play Hip Hop among other genres! I've been on a Friday and Sunday; both were lots of fun! The bartenders are attentive and the drinks are reasonably priced. Patrons are friendly and not pretentious. You should take a photo in front of the mural out front; super cool feature! Overall, I highly recommend this place!

New black owned business tucked away in an alley! This place was such a vibe. The owners and servers were friendly and very attentive. I like that you have an option to actually sit down without dealing with all of the table minimums and charges like other lounges. The drinks and hookah were pretty good and the dj played all the right songs to keep the vibe going :)

This gem is super cute and actually located in an alley on U Street NW. The bar is dark, but the decor is great. And they play amazing music with a dj. In addition, the service was quick and d the dockyard strong. This is great place for a date.

Had a great time here one night. DJ was really getting after it and the bar clientele was friendly. That's really all you can ask for.

I have only popped up here as a part of bar crawls, but both times I've enjoyed the vibe!

My cigar of choice, Davidoff SIGNATURE AMBASSADRICE. This slim stick was pretty simple and easy for me to indulge in. Drink of choice, Black Cherry Manhattan. The dark sweet drink added a sexy twist to the experience and it was smooth. Guess what??? They have ladies night on Wednesday! Definitely going to try it out. No food sold here, just great cocktails. There are however, lots of restaurants nearby so that should not stop you from visiting. Staff were really friendly and made the experience great. The place is nicely organized and comfortable inside and there is an outside patio. No membership needed to experience the magic but they do offer great membership packages for anyone interested in joining. Overall, I will be back!

Nice spot. One of the few remaining cigar bars left in DC…read more This spot is purely smoke, drink and go. They have decent restrooms if you need those, but it leans utilitarian. Functional even...and nope, unlike Shelly's or Ozio's or even 1865 - there's no food served here. Not even wings/fries. Hung with my brother and his pal. Had a long island and after about 1.5 hours, we bounced. Sorry for just the one pic, but I'd return. Service was polite/efficient and I parked next door in the garage. I could have parked on the street today because it's a holiday! Welp.:/

Great selection of bourbons and Cigars for sure. I had a nice Reuben sandwich for lunch. I also…read moreordered the chips and salsa. . The serving of salsa was pretty skimpy Given the size of the basket of chips I got. I had to ask for a refill on the salsa. Also, the salsa to me was not salsa, It was more like pico de gallo as it was all just chunks, which was tasty enough, but if I'm to be dipping chips into salsa I was really expecting something a little more liquidy and not just chunks. Also, their chips are way too thin for their salsa, as such as it is. The chips kept breaking every time I wanted to scoop up any of the chips/pico de gallo sauce. Finally, I was a little annoyed at the end, when I noticed the was a slight price increase on my angels envy bourbon. Apparently they charged me $.50 to have one ice cube in my glass. I noted to my server that nobody had asked me what size ice I wanted I had merely said angels envy on the rocks. I didn't get rocks plural. I got one piece of ice. And it wasn't one of those humongous cubes like I have at home either.

So disappointing to see they still sneak a 5% "admin fee" onto the bill…read more Today they closed early and required payment in cash because their point of sale system is down. They even turned off the TVs almost an hour early and started turning off the lights 30 minutes before the announced early closing time (5:30pm). WHAT A ONE-STOP SHOP!!!!!…read more 219 is a VA gem, that I personally don't want too many people knowing about. The bottom floor - the Bayou Bar. The middle floor - dining within 219. And the top floor? - the performance space and the side cigar lounge! When I say there is something for everyone at this location, you could not miss going here. My friend and I made reservations via Open Table and had no issue making our allotted time, neither did 219 with having our table ready upon our arrival. Our server was super attentive, giving all of his best recommendations, including the jambalaya, and wings! (Both pictured). We were also seated by the window which was surprisingly not cold (the fireplace was also not lit this night), and was able to have a nice view of the street! She and I love people watching, and this was nice! Loved this place, and took our drinks right upstairs to the jazz performance where we spent another hour or so. Greaaaat performers come, along with great sounds! It's set up as a first come, first serve basis so please come early! 219 is a great place to come for a cozy. comfortable night!

Came here for a good night of drinks and music. Made reservations for the restaurant then…read moreafterwards the plan was to slide upstairs for the band. Well the plans changed. Given the size of the upstairs I'm glad we came right upstairs first. As it is very very small and tight. It's first come and first serve. Ordered wings fries and crab soup. The wings were okay from what my friend said. The soup could be better. It needed old bay seasoning and more crab. It was very bland. Too much scallions in it. It was like eating scallion cream soup. For $15 it could have been better. The drinks. They put too too much ice in them. My whiskey sour turned into water sour. My friend's old fashioned was old ice with orange and cherry bitters. Very disappointing. Even with the food and drinks not being the best the music was on point. The band was awesome. The space is very very tight and limited so you will need to arrive early if you want to sit by the band. But there is also seating at the bar down the hall. And the balcony seating does not do any justice as you can't see band only hear them. They could expand if possible. I gave it 2 stars due to the food and drinks. The music pushed it to 3. I may go back but do things different depending on the time we go. And bring our own cigars is a must. It's definitely a jewel in the Old Town neighborhood. Stop by to see the band and bring your cigars. And order drinks with light to mo ice.
