I'm sorry to have to provide detail here Habib, but in fact the first day you said you would come out in a 2 hour window, you didn't let me know until the end of the 2 hour window that you couldn't make it. So we rescheduled for another 2 hour window the next day. That day, you called at the last minute again to say you would be right there. And both my husband and I heard you say 5 minutes, because we were about to cancel it yet again if you couldn't make the promised 2 hour window. You showed up 40 minutes after the 2 hour window had ended. When I left this initial review I said I was fine with the work done, and that is still true. What I wasn't happy with were the three phone calls and 5 texts you sent me after I posted my review, asking me multiple times to take it down or change my rating. That isn't appropriate. Pictures speak for themselves. When I asked about the color of the silicone in the holes, tech told me to forget about the silicone and look at the glass. I kicked him out at that point. SMH. UPDATE SMH. Ridiculous and disingenuous. So now tile work isn't in his skill set?!?? Then why offer your services as a glass shower enclosure company?!? It wasn't a surprise job and if he would have said anything remotely about not being able to work with tile I would have said thank you and moved on. Un-freaking-believable. The glass was being reinstalled/replaced due to the complete replacement of the tiled shower floor...previous floor leaked. Since the glass was custom, possibly needed new panels. When this dude first came to my home he tried to use ALL of the existing glass. I did not initially go with him cause I was concerned about his insistence on "making it work". I explained that I will be selling the home in a few years so I didn't want it looking home made. I stated over and over again if all new glass was needed, fine cause I didn't want it looking crazy. After I insisted, he said that only one new piece of the 3 was needed and took measurements. I didn't go with him initially cause I was concerned about him pressing to make the 3 original pieces work. So I go with another company and they also said only one new of the 3 pieces of glass needed to be ordered. Long story short two new pieces were needed and the other company tried to charge a crazy amount and the one piece they provided was massively chipped. That's why I circled back to District. The Tech came back and once I told him the other company stated two new pieces were needed he was like oh, they are right. One of his selling points was that he would plug the holes with LIKE color grout. I never asked him to do that cause 1 - I didn't think of it and 2 - He brought up the holes and how he would take care of them without any prompt from me. TO BE CLEAR, he is lying that I asked him to do something outside of skill set. He volunteered! There was no misunderstanding. He knew the dates I repeatedly discussed in text would not work. He lacks the ability to accept responsibility and he thinks he can speak anyway he pleases. When I asked about the grout color mismatch, he said in a nasty tone, forget the holes and look at the glass. I'm sorry, who the heck do you think you are speaking to anyone let alone the home owner like that? TO BE CLEAR, there was no misunderstanding about the install date, time for arrival nor what he said at the end. Lastly, what's his excuse for the poor workmanship with his install? The silicone looks like it was applied by a DIYer homeowner and he installed the door upside down on purpose. He removed the plastic door seal from the bottom and reinstalled it. What makes it worse was that he reused the old seal rather than providing new. If you don't believe the above, believe the pics I took. If he shows you pics of a beautiful frameless shower that he supposedly did, circle back to my pics of the silicone, which should have been smoothed and not just left untouched after application. read more
