Got my hair done once there asked to get some highlights ...yes Sulin was nice really talkative but the only thing is that she over books herself she did apologize but I had my appointment at 1pm and she was still doing someone else's hair. Didn't get to sit down till half an hour later! From all the great reviews on yelp wanted to try since it was close to home. But not really clean place... Big waste of time, will never come here again. I came with the intention of getting my eyebrows done and was the only customer when I walked in. There was only one woman working at the salon and to my surprise, she was getting her hair washed and told me to wait a few minutes. She didn't exhibit any urgency to attend to me, the person washing her hair proceeded to wash her hair with different treatments. After 10 minutes go by I got up and told her this was taking too long and I would take my business elsewhere. She carelessly said "Okay bye" and seemed relieved she didn't have to do her job and could keep getting her hair washed. Horrible service. read more

This is my go to nails and eyebrow spot. Prices are good. They do great nails and pedicures. Just a bit awkward that they have men doing pedicures. I felt awkward my first time here when a 16-18 year old boy was giving me a pedicure. I felt like my little brother was doing it. Diva Hair Salon is BY FAR the best hair salon I have ever been to!! I drive 45 minutes each time to go to Sulin (the hair dresser) and it is more than worth it EVERY single time. Sulin is kind, experienced, passionate and a professional. There are times when I don't know what to do with my hair and when I leave her salon I feel like a celebrity. I've been meaning to write this review for quite some time now, I've been coming to Diva's for about 6 years now. Sulin and Donia are both the best! They're both very friendly and accommodating to my hectic work schedule as well. I've had various services done and I've never left unhappy or unsatisfied, I usually get my brows threaded with Donia and I've had keratin hair treatments and hair colored by Sulin. I also sometimes come In last minute for just a quick wash/style with Donia. I don't trust anyone else with my hair or eyebrows now! read more

Sulin has done my hair maybe about 4 times. I don't come here as often as I should Every time I disappear I always end up doing something wrong with my hair either the wrong person touches it or I use box color (worst idea) and I end up coming here to get it fixed. Sulin is such a professional and doesn't do the work for the money, she actually has the passion for her work you can tell by the details she puts on her work, she explains to you if the way you want your hair a certain way and if it could have some bad reaction or not a good result. I went in with a horrible job of an ombré done by a "professional" I called Sulin and she took me right in and saw me on a Saturday afternoon even though she was tired she still took care of me and gave me my options. And what would happen to my hair if I was to put more bleach on it. I had to chop some of my hair from the "ombré" I had because my hair was really damaged. Sulin is my favorite colorist and hair stylist ever. My hair is naturally dark and really curly and I like to color it with highlights throughout the year. Sulin's color always comes out exactly like I wanted and if it doesn't look so great on my head she will adjust it right there if needed. The first time I walked in, it was for a deep conditioning and simple blow dry hair style. I was impressed with how friendly my hair stylist, Donia, was. I also loved how my hair went from feeling dry and brittle, to soft and silky. Since I loved how my hair turned out after my appointment with Donia, I decided to come back a second time to change my hair color from platinum blonde, to turquoise. Donia wasn't in, so I ended up making an appointment with the salon owner. She told me they didn't have the color turquoise, but to come back for my appointment, and she'd see what she could do. Oh, and when she told me she usually didn't do fantasy color, I should have paid attention to the red flags going up, and found someone else more experienced. However, I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. I came back a few days later, and as stated in another review, she overbooks herself, and was running 30 minutes behind. I didn't mind having to wait, but I also didn't realize it would cause her to RUSH through my hair appointment, constantly staring at the clock and telling me her next appointment was waiting. As for the turquoise? She said she could mix a drop of blue hair color in with the green hair color she had and make a turquoise color. Again, red flags went up, but I figured, she's the hair stylist, she knows more than I do. I had about 2 inches of roots that needed to be bleached and toned to platinum blonde before she put the color in. I specifically told her I wanted my hair toned to match the rest of my blonde hair to make the color even, and ONE color. She agreed that's what she would do. I don't know if she simply forgot, or because she was running behind, decided 2 inches of orange roots was good enough to put the color on. I would think it would be common sense for a hair stylist, that if you put a fantasy color over uneven blonde, the fantasy color will turn out splotchy, and uneven (read: darker, or lighter in some areas). Which is what happened. Oh, and as for the turquoise hair color? I left the salon with blue hair (where the platinum blonde had been), and green roots (where the orange had been). I was extremely upset, and even though she said she could fix it for free when the color faded in a few weeks, I decided to finally listen to my gut, and never went back. A few wks after the color finally faded enough, I bought Manic Panic in a turquoise color from Hot Topic, and put it over the mess it was. The two inches she "forgot" to tone, still turn a slight shade of green, and now that I need a root touch up, I'm hesitant to let anyone near my hair again. Not to mention, I still have to have the two inches she did, color corrected. Overall, I won't be recommending this salon to any of my friends. read more

I was told by a friend this was a great salon. The sign on their door says they take walk-ins but it took about an hour for anyone to call me and after the hair stylist did a strand test on my hair, she then asked me to come back the following day so she could do my highlights, can you believe that?! I think not! Why would I be there today, if I wanted to put highlights in my hair tomorrow?! So she told me to come back in another 45 minutes and she'd do my hair. I should've known right then and there this wasn't going to be pretty. First off, the salon is ugly and dirty. There's nothing flashy or even remotely high-end about it. It doesn't even look sterile. I saw them sweep the floor once. They don't have that many customers but they only employ 3 or 4 hairstylists (1 of which was off that day). Anyway, cutting to the chase here it is: I got partial highlights and there were TERRIBLE. I got there at 2:45pm, walked out of there at 8pm. It took THAT long! The stylist couldn't get the right color, she kept saying my roots were lighter than the rest of my hair and how she'd 'fix it'. She left the bleach on longer and put 2 or 3 different toners.She also bleached the hell out of the two blouses I was wearing that day (which she had to reimburse me for later). I am so upset, because my hair is destroyed and sections of it broke in half because they bleached the hell out of it. They apparently used a high proof bleach. Why, I don't know when I wasn't going blonde, just a shade or two lighter. It was by far the WORST experience I've ever had at a salon. My hairstylist Donia I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. The salon owner Sulin lacks people skills and she had the audacity to get cheap on me when I showed her my bleached blouses. She wanted to give me credit for my ruined blouses rather than cash when it was the crappy skills her stylist had at incorrectly putting on the smock and practically giving my scalp a chemical burn. I was complaining about it burning and itching and the bleach dripping down my face and the owner was like "It's okay". WTF?!?! Whatever! Save yourselves the trouble and avoid this nightmare salon. read more
