After doing my diligence I did see it was local to the Tennessee area and it did have a Yelp so that checked off boxes enough to make a purchase and although it ended up not working in the end for me I can say I'm a fan of theirs based on experience alone. As I mentioned above I placed an order for two pairs of Nike sandals and I was floored to see in about 3 days my order was already arriving to California. I know delivery issues has been a million dollar situation with the pandemic so I was happy to see at least one transaction go right. The items ended up being unfortunately too small which bummed me out big time and I was dreading the task of doing a return from 3000+ miles away, but I must say the staff here is superb. I ended up talking to Paige (well the wife to coin her credit) and she thoroughly explained the return process and since I was dumb enough to toss out the boxes prior to wearing them I ended up paying a slight fee for the return processing, but hey it's better than keeping the sandals as a swell paperweight. Beyond that all staff that were interacted with were top notch and down to earth. You'd say a true depiction of what the South can truly offer and that is something you rarely see on the West Coast. I do admit the crediting back to my card took a bit longer than anticipated, but if that's the only nitpick I have then at least that speaks volumes to the experience. All in all I am a fan and I have actually gone back to check out the other items they have and deep down I know this is not my final purchase here. A+ all around and certainly not a twist of the arm to shop here at all. Kudos!

Several employees were watching us the entire time. I asked to try on one t-shirt in the fitting room and I guess this raised there suspicions of us even more because once I walked to the register there was a security guard waiting. This is true Tennessee shopping right here. Their selection is unmatched in shirts, hats, apparel, jewelry, accessories, stickers & decals, tumblers, flags, even kids clothing and many other goods. They have an impressive selection of polos, button downs, and jackets/outerwear that you will not find elsewhere. Very nice options and quality clothing from a vast array of vendors such as Nike, Cutter & Buck, Volunteer Traditions, etc. The only reason for the loss of half a star is that the prices on many of these items are quite costly (i.e. $80 for an MTSU golf polo)... Regardless, they have the market cornered on the nice, quality, hard to find items that no other brick and mortar retail shop has. I have visited this Dick's on multiple occasions for a variety of items from coolers to shoes, to sportswear and even just to walk around and waste time. All visits are pretty standard and I usually find what I need within a reasonable time. They stay well stocked at this location, this along with keeping the store clean, organized and in good condition makes it a decent spot to stop by. I will say the one thing that is inconsistent with this location is the customer service. On my most recent trips in, I have wandered the full store for over 15 minutes each and not once was I spoken to...even when I entered and left the store. And it was not because the lack of staff. They were there, just not interested in assisting I assume. Overall, if they can get their service in line, it would easily be a 5 star shopping experience at this location.

Clearance section is usually pretty solid for a random pair of sneakers, and some of the prices on the main aisles for shoes are not too bad. Clothing prices are never discounted too deep, better to buy the clothes online or at the a true Nike Outlet store. Service here is hit and miss. There are always a lot of team members on the floor and behind the register, however none of them approach you are seek to assist. It is an odd vibe for the brand, but it is consistent at this location. The store is kept clean and in good condition. When we were ready to look at a rifle from behind the counter we asked an associate that was working at the computer. At the time all the other associates had left from behind the counter and were talking with the manager and the person he seemed to know. The associate at the computer asked one of the associates now outside the counter to help us. The associate that was asked to help us clearly did not want to go back behind the counter to help us and verbal said so. He reluctantly went back behind the counter ,but after the way he acted and things he said about not wanting to help us (customers) I no longer wanted to deal with him. We decided not to look at a firearm and put down the other items we were going to purchase. We walked to the front and asked for a manager because we felt how the associate acted was very inappropriate and unprofessional. This is when we found out the associate standing outside the firearm counter was a manager. Mind you this manager stood there and saw how this associate acted and heard what he said. Said "manager" heard what we had to say and talked about some customer service award the store had previously received. It's great they had received this award ,but clearly based on the customer service we received that day we did not understand how the store received such an award. We were very disappointed and upset with the customer service we received on this visit. We will not be back and will be sharing with our friends and family about the customer service we experienced.

Instead of helpful service, I was told by the manager Collin--repeatedly--that "it's policy" to only do even exchanges, with no explanation. When I tried to express my concerns, he accused me of "having an attitude." Another manager, Brantley/Berkley, then approached in an intimidating manner that made me feel uncomfortable and singled out. He stood watching over me with his arms crossed just to try and intimidate me -- just for returning items that don't live up to their quality! After finally giving me replacements, Collin cut the tags off the new items in front of me, again claiming it was "policy." I've shopped at Lululemon for two decades and have never seen this. When I asked to keep my original tag (as proof of purchase, which I paid for), he refused. I have video of the interaction, and the entire experience felt disrespectful and punitive. Lululemon, this is unacceptable for a company that value ls community, inclusive and basic customer service. Customers deserve transparency and basic respect--neither of which I received today.

Pricing was standard for a retail spot like this, definitely no discounts here. Service was non-existent for me.
