While the rental rate for a drysuit was fair, the professionalism and competency of the staff left much to be desired. Despite confirming beforehand that the stock Hollis XL drysuit (chart size 10M) would fit a size 12 foot, it did not. The drysuit was also poorly folded and stored with the dump valve fully closed, suggesting a lack of basic drysuit handling knowledge. The worst part was returning the drysuit. I confirmed in person that the store would be open until 6 PM on the Wednesday before a holiday and planned my schedule accordingly, driving an hour out of my way. Despite arriving over 15 minutes before closing, the shop had closed early without notice. With a flight to catch, I was forced to leave the drysuit at a restaurant next door, exposing myself to potential liability. Attempts to contact the shop were unsuccessful until I reached the owner, Brian, who was completely unapologetic. Despite his assurance that staff would confirm receipt of the drysuit, I had to follow up myself, as they failed to communicate within three days of receiving the equipment. Save yourself the headache and rent elsewhere. Dive Georgia's lack of professionalism and disregard for customer time and effort are simply not worth it. read more

Brian and his staff are awesome! I haven't gone anywhere else and don't ever plan to - I highly recommend checking them out! The trips I have gone on have given me an opportunity to make new friends, great memories & the experiences have been amazing! The payment plan for all the trips definitely make it possible to go anywhere! Except when COVID hit - but I was refunded my money for the trip that got cancelled. And I have been given store credit in funky situations... Which I like because I was able to use it towards things I needed and wanted when they had a few of their sales going on as well as new classes to take. Particular people need to remember a business still has to operate as a business. Everyone there is super nice and friendly, but they definitely aren't going to just be giving things away for free. I was grateful to find this full service Dive shop in North Georgia when I was there for work. I found them through a Facebook event in December 2018 and was very impressed with the selection of equipment and services offered. I decided to do my Master Scuba Diver certification through them since they had Kraken Springs available there in North Georgia. All of the staff were knowledgeable and professional. I always felt there was a focus on safety as well as a thorough understanding of the course material. I was also able to get my recreational gear and tec gear serviced in a timely manner. In 2019, I was able to travel to Socorro Islands with the Dive Georgia trip on the Nautilus liveaboard. Amazing diving with Giant Mantas, sharks, and some of the best dive buddies/instructors one could ask for! I have booked 2 more trips for 2021 and looking forward to diving with them again. read more

I did a drysuit course with Brian this weekend at Dive Georgia's quarry in White. I've done loads of ocean dives in nothing more than shorts or a wetsuit and I wasn't sure what to expect when actually trying out this new-to-me piece of equipment. Brian gave another student and me great instruction and tips on how to use the drysuit, what to expect to feel (and to not feel), and how to effectively deal with possible emergency situations. All in all it was a great day and I left feeling thoroughly prepared to dive a drysuit again - which I'll do, because it's really nice to have a facility like the quarry so far inland and close to home. Also, Dive Georgia's retail store in Woodstock is a nicely presented, modern showcase of good brands. The staff is friendly and eager to help. read more

Love, love, love this place and all the folks there. I made my first dive on a cruise ship in March 2016 and found my new favorite hobby. My husband and I found the quarry by surfing the Internet and drove down to check it out. Ganish made us feel so welcome and recommended we go check out the shop. We did and the rest is history! Both of us got fully outfitted with all our gear on the spot. We have since taken multiple classes with the Dive Ga instructors -dry suit, nitrox, advance for me, rescue, O2 provider, and on. We attended the Go Pro night and Brian made us feel like we were the most important customers there. I highly recommend Dive Ga for all your diving needs. read more

I have used this shop while I was instructing in GA. They always went out of their way to help me out, whether in the store or at the quarry. I took a class with them for O2 provider and full face and it was great. The instructor took time for some one on one for a student that was having an issue during full face. Student passed after that. I also bought my drysuit through them and they took great care of me. It was delivered and not to the specs that I ordered. They were on the phone within minutes to rectify the problem. Even as a new instructor teaching on my own they guided me while I attended my 1st DEMA. read more

if you havent done business with these guys yet , i would strongly encourage it . all of them are highly knowledgable , true gentlemen , and willing to assist you in any way possible . they have recently added an online store , and instituted a payment policy for their dive trips - which makes it more than affordable ( paying a little as you go ) . the staff are as good as it gets , both at the store front , and the dive quarry , especially when doing drysuit fittings ( very patient and helpful) . as far as training goes , if youre looking for padi classes , or info , tis is the place to go . read more

I went in to learn about the trips and see their shop and was overwhelmed with their high quality customer service. Emily and Brian were terrific they educated me and fully outfitted me from head to toe. Their technician told me about how I can use my VA benefits as I'm also a veteran. From boots to fins, bcd and dive computers they have all the latest and greatest. Go see them as they are just off the exit in Woodstock. I left a negative review on Dive Ga three year's ago, it was seen several thousands of times. I have recently deleted this review for my own personal reasons to which none are about anything to do with Dive Ga. Scuba is a great sport and I fully recommend being trained properly before attempting. If you are unsure about diving, ask about a Discover Scuba class. And do your own research.
