Mako Sharks, Blue Sharks, Minkey and Pilot Whales all came to hang around the boat. The bird's eye view aka Pirates Nest is awesome to look out, you can see other wild life from afar when you're up top. I would recommend bringing binoculars if you're going to have a slice of watermelon up there. I can't say enough good things about the overall experience from the minute we got on-board until our final departure. Booking the trip was a breeze, communication prior to the trip was spot on, and the experience surpassed my expectations. Captain Chuck and his daughter were amazing. They are patient, supportive and if it were not for their encouragement I would not have made it through my fear of "breathing under water" and would have missed out. We were able to see three blue sharks during the trip and one was almost constantly by the boat during the day. We are already planning our next trip to come back.

Very friendly service, they make sure you practiced a little before you go into the water with their own private pool and they double check to make sure your gear is all set. I dove at the Hampton Springs spot and it was really fun. Though the visibility is a little low underwater, it is a great place to practice and you can still see some stuff below the surface. The resort provided free rentals, but because of Covid, I felt more comfortable just bringing my own. I traveled to the Galapagos islands in 2018, and had a terrible experience with the snorkel gear that I was using. I was having a very hard time having my nose plugged and it was causing me a panic, and therefore I did not enjoy the snorkeling experience. It turns out that now full face masks are now a thing - and New England Dive had plenty of good options! They were reasonably priced and the person assisting me took them out of their packaging so that I can really see how they worked. I left the store with a new snorkeling mask, confident that this experience was going to go much smoother - and it did! I'm so grateful that I found this mask. The store is huge, even though it looks kind of small from the outside, and their inventory is huge. I visited Cabela's and a couple of other sports stores, but none had this particular style of mask.

i would give enfield scuba 10 stars if could. because of them, i achieved another personal best for…read moreme. i conquered the dive site at cathedral rocks in newport ma. stats below. according to authorities, this dive site has taken the lives of many experienced divers. the entry and exit were personally for me the most challenging i have ever experienced. i could not have done this dive without the training and support i received from the dive team at enfield scuba enfield ct and my newfound dive buddies. the dive. 10/06/2023. cathedral rocks rockport ma. conditions: 8 mph ese wind. low tide turning. 2ft to 3ft waves. 3ft to 4ft swells. no beach. 61 deg f h2o temp near surface. 56 deg f h2o temp at 51ft. to enter the water you must traverse about 70 to 80 yards (depending on tide and path) over and around boulders to the entry point. entry into the water is by sliding down boulders catching a wave/swell backwash into the ocean. exit the ocean by catching a wave/swell crest up onto a boulder quickly sliding/climbing away out from the next wave/swell backwash. all of this was worth it. lots of color, good mix of rocks, boulders, chasms, good visibility, all kinds of marine life. this was a great dive. celebrating my accomplishments with dinner (2nd pic) - lobsters and hamburgers (without buns) on a nearby beach. yes, i have a lobster license.

I looked for a shop nearby and luckily Enfield Scuba was only 10 minutes away! From the first time I stepped foot into the shop to the day I got my open water certification (yesterday), everyone I met has been beyond friendly and accommodating. From the shop owner John, to our diving instructors Chris and CJ, to the shop manager John, I felt more comfortable than I expected to be in a situation where I knew nothing and was basically starting from scratch. Words can't even express how incredible the whole experience was, and I'm considering getting my advanced open water certification through Enfield Scuba as well since I had such a great time with my open water. This was my first…read moretime out on a boat in about 7 years, and it was my first time snorkeling with sharks (and also snorkeling in general) ever. From the second we arrived at the dock, Charlie made my friend and I feel completely at ease. One of my favorite things about him is that you can tell from the minute you start talking to him that he's not out to exploit the sharks in any way. After tagging over 2,600 sharks, Charlie really just wants to share his knowledge with you and provide a deeper understanding of these animals. His heart is completely in the right place, and he is amazingly authentic and kind. And as for the actual shark-diving experience, it was genuinely one of the coolest things I've ever done in my life. We had EIGHT sharks around us total, and after a while, they came right up to us! I was nervous at first getting into the water, but after a while, you realize that the sharks are just more curious than anything and far more interested in the fish we were giving them. I could have stayed in the water ALL DAY. I would go back again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Charlie, for your kindness, patience, and natural teaching ability. We legit were hooking into 2 and 3 fish on a single rig. I caught sport fish until my arms were tired. After an incredibly active morning we switched over to Black Sea bass and were hooking in left and right. His deck hand was supreme and attentive to keep lines in the water. On the boat ride back she cut the fish into filets and bagged em up! He also offers shark fishing, shark dives, champagne sunset tours and a plethora of other oceanic options.
