The experience of standing in line was kind of fun and I felt like I was a kid again. We went in the evening, but I can't imagine standing in a long line in the hot summer sun. I tried the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie (very buttery tasting), Sunday Best Banana Pudding, and Parent Trap (peanut butter ice cream with chunks of Oreo). The latter was the winner for me, although they were all delicious. I enjoyed every spoonful of it. Overall, Greenery Creamery was exactly what I needed, and I look forward to returning soon! But the croissant was a letdown... there was barely any filling, which honestly defeats the whole point of ordering it. Overall, I like the concept and the variety they offer, but the execution just didn't do it for me. It's one of those places I wanted to like more than I actually did. The brainchild of Chef Ralph Rendsland, this adorable food truck uses liquid nitrogen to to create custom ice cream and sorbets. Using these modern techniques, they serve up classics like Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee, Root Beer Floats and Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches. There are several organic and vegetarian options as well. I found their truck at the Orlando Food Truck Bazaar, and they were literally the cherry on top of a perfect evening. I ordered their Cherries Jubilee -- dark bing cherries simmered in an almond citrus sauce and generously served with their homemade vanilla ice cream. I loved their cherry sauce; it was tart and sweet and tangy all at once. However, I found their vanilla ice cream disappointing. Visually, it was beautiful -- a rich warm color with a perfect creamy texture, but the flavor had a bitter aftertaste I found unpleasant. I think they may have used too much vanilla in their flavoring process, but I'm not too sure. My friend tried the lemoncello sorbet, but found it unimpressive. The texture was much too hard and felt like they'd taken frozen lemonade and hacked it up to bits. For the moment, they only seem to have more classic flavors, but I hope, in time, they'll offer more radical choices. :) Their truck is awesome. Designed to look like a vintage ice cream parlor, their look contrasts perfectly with the modern techniques used to make their desserts. Inside, you see enlarged photos of Chef Rendsland celebrity chefs, including Paula Deen and Martha Stewert. Their staff is friendly.
