I had to make sure that I took a moment to add another positive review for this esthetician. I was looking for a place to get waxed as a "first timer"... tried it once before, maybe 8 years ago, and never tried it again. I'm so glad that I found Joyce. She is very kind and patient. As requested, when I left a voicemail, she called me back to talk through what I wanted. Joyce was accommodating when I asked if I could bring my toddler if needed; she didn't hesitate. On the day of service, she was very patient, constantly checking in, and told me what she was going to do and why. I had no idea that Joyce considered the "vibe" until she asked me what kind of music I listened to as a way to check if I was okay with her selection, since my child was present. There were no awkward moments at all! Joyce and I got to know each other, and it didn't feel like she was pulling teeth. Her conversational skills can distract you and take your mind off the waxing. Joyce sent a text with a reminder about aftercare, and I truly appreciate it. I will be back for another wax for sure and may even try other services. read more

I went in for my eyebrow wax and a honey glow facial! My experience here was very welcoming and inviting! I have a lot of trust issues when it comes to my eyebrows and she listened to my concerns and knocked it out that park my eyebrows have never looked more amazing! For the facial it was everything my skin needed! I have dry skin and it put the hydration right back in it, I highly recommend! As for Joyce the lovely owner of this establishment is kindhearted and so welcoming I will definitely be coming back!! read more

Had the pleasure of meeting Joyce/ owner very recently as she did an armpit waxing. Amazing spa, amazing inviting space. Shared space with a high end downtown vibe Huntington salon. Joyce is excellent at what she does! I do my Brazillian, Armpit, eyebrow and Lip with her. For my Brazillian, I have not gotten it done in years because of a past experience that left me traumatized. But waxing with Joycee made me feel so comfortable and safe. I made my appointment online and before you get there she has you fill out a questionnaire on your skin, current product use and medical history etc. When you come into her room it's always beautifully set up with nice music in the background. This made help me feel more relaxed as I was nervous on my 1st time. She then analyzes your skin where you're going to be waxed and gives you a run down of how the waxing process is going to go. I was really nervous so she took her time to make sure I was okay each time she applied the wax and took it off. The wax didn't feel too hot either which she definitely checks to make sure it isn't. She makes sure there aren't any ingrown hairs or blackheads and finishes with an ingrown hair oil. By the end of my 1st brazillian she gave me after care instructions to follow when I went home and I didn't have a breakout from the wax. It's been 4 months now and my Brazillians are quick, easy and very clean! read more

I was recommended by a friend to come see Joyce for my first time brazilian and i loved the experience! the environment was very welcoming and comfortable and very clean as well. right when i walked in Joyce had a smile on her face and seeing that made the entire process so much easier! i didn't feel rushed like i have in the past at other waxing chains. she was very thorough and informative as well. i'll definitely be coming back in the future and will recommend to anyone who is looking for a wax. read more
