No, I take that back, you guessed it, it's yet another Italian joint, owned by the very good Table 104, so I have high hopes for a meal here, but really, how about a French bistro, a classic pub, or just about anything else? I write today about breakfast, yet again, which this hotel only got right maybe six years ago when it was served in the bar, and someone cared about the menu, selection, quality, and presentation, but I digress: your breakfast will first be spoiled by your curmudgeonly host, who is a sour individual, and he should not be in the business of customer relations. He will be quick to say no, unless prompted to consider that your request might be honored. Example: on the menu, you'll find eggs, "any way." You'll also see a fritatta, but not an omelet, and if you don't like the ingredients in the daily fritatta and select items, readily available on the menu, for an omelet, be prepared for a powerful scowl. While the weather's still good, go across the street to Winfield's. I'm going to check out the adjacent Residence Inn tomorrow, though I understand it's a buffet. Very disappointing that Marriott doesn't require its properties to list dining options, hours, and menu. I've checked into hotels with room service down, a restaurant closed, and hours not synced with what appears on a Google search. Come on, Marriott, is that really so tough? read more

Really, really good food here at Divina. So good, I've been twice in just the few days I've been here in Stamford. The first time (with friends), we had the burrata as well as the calamari to start and followed those dishes up with the spaghetti chitarra and the market pizza. Everything was excellent including the service and the atmosphere. I went back last night (solo) and had the spaghetti and the pizza again at the bar. And I'm sure that I will visit at least one more time before I leave town in a week. This place is really that good. read more

I enjoyed my meal here. I had a panini which was not really a panini but still very good. It was a little bit soggy and messy (and small) but delicious. The french fries are above average and the tiramisu is great. Come give Divina a shot. The service is very good. read more

I've been at this place 4 times. And now I can give a honest opinion. My first time was great -mostly came with my husband for drinks and apps. Drinks were tasty, and beautifully performed. Second time came to brunch and I literally had to beg for waiter to refill my bottomless mimosa, but she never did.. we payed 40$ for 2 glasses of BOTTOMLESS MIMOSA --INSANE!!!!! Food tasted good tho. Next time we came for dinner had some oysters, pizza and ravioli. Oysters fresh and also very tasty. Pizza is good but nothing special, ravioli was epic fail, the dough was so undercooked and thick but worse part 5 raviolis for 25$ - foreal?. No wonder I didn't see it again on menu. Server was nice and polite man, but so slow. This Saturday was the last time I came to this place. We had to wait for 20 min for our order be taken, after 30 min after we sat, we finally got our drinks- as usual no complains... our appetizers arrived 40 + min after we placed an order - great octopus and meatballs 6 out of 10. After 1 1/2 our main dishes came, short ribs cannelloni was freezing cold and seafood pasta was bland, no seasoning, no salt sauce from jar tastes better for sure. we didn't even want to eat our main dishes, asked to pack it and left. I won't even mentioned they weren't even busy, our server didn't care to come and check on us or apologize for delay or offer some complimentary drinks, apps or dessert NOTHIG . Just ate here July 3rd and was really happy with the food and the service. Manny our waiter was engaging and very friendly...,you could tell he liked his job! This was my first visit to Divina's and overall I enjoyed my experience. Service however was very slow, especially considering we were pretty much the only table in the restaurant on a weekday afternoon, but I know that the holiday season may be affecting their staffing so I understood. The complimentary focaccia was generous and came out soft and fresh. After that, we waited about 25 minutes for the calamari. The calamari was perfectly cooked, but I would have enjoyed it more if the breading was more crispy. Our mains came out about 10-15 minutes later. I enjoyed the freshness and creativity of the Rainbow Beet salad! It was so bright and refreshing and a nice change from the kinds of foods I may usually get at a restaurant this time of year. I felt there could have been more beets and burrata on the salad but I didn't leave hungry because of the bread and calamari. My friend enjoyed his rice bowl as well. The Arancini Bolognese was delicious. Chef Jose' came out from the kitchen to serve it personally; he wanted to see how we liked it. It was a treat! Branling, our server was excellent/very attentive. Between Chef Jose and server Branling, service was excellent (5 stars). The pappardelle bolognese was very good. It got tastier with every bite. The green matcha panna cotta made for a delicious dessert that was not cloying. I believe that the dish made its debut tonight. Very well done! We will definitely come back. read more

Terrible. I booked the reservation two weeks before going on August 30. We show up and there's a wedding reception in full effect in the entire restaurant. They never told us. And they tried to put us in a back room where the base and the music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation. So we left. Never again. You don't do that to your customers. read more

We recently held my daughter's wedding shower at Divina. Amazing! The food was excellent-we had a brunch buffet and everything was very, very good. The waitstaff were incredible. Enzo could not have been easier to work with or more accommodating. Usually, restaurants do not allow guests to bring cakes from outside or charge an exorbitant amount to plate. We were not only allowed to bring in cake but also other treats for our guests to take home. Overall, this is an excellent restaurant with wonderful spaces and I would give more than 5 stars if allowed!! This is a absolute DO NOT go to. Stamford has so many amazing places to eat and this place is a total bust. The staff is super ditzy and clueless and the food just really represents them. It is flavorless, lackluster and uninspired. The service we got from our waiter from totally trash, he looked like he was high and couldn't follow any simple request. Amazing meal, amazing service. Had a wonderful meal with my husband. I would recommended the Tequilla Water as a cocktail. My husband had an Old Fashion and was impressed with it as well. We started with the skillet meatballs and they were pretty good BUT, what I really enjoyed was our entrees, which was Pappardelle and Bolognese, it was so delicious, my husband had the chicken parm and he said it was really good. My boyfriend and I went out to dinner here recently. We shared the inferno pizza which was delicious! It had the perfect amount of spice and the dough wasn't too soft or too hard. I got the ravioli which had spinach and ricotta in it - each bite was soft and creamy. Raviolis we're cooked just to my liking. I definitely recommend this place! I was pretty pleased with the food and overall experience though our seating wasn't the best which was other than that, everything was great! Below you will see what I rated each dish that I had. First and foremost the atmosphere of the dining was beautiful (inside). As far as my appetizers go the arancini balls were FIRE. Topped with a nice pesto sauce , the flavors were all there. Had a nice crunch as well Now those meatballs were deceiving like a mofo. THEY WERE HARD AND DRY. Which was super disappointing. They honestly tasted old and reheated. My main course was great! The salad was the size of a half dollar in total, which is what's plopped on top. The mash needed butter and salt and Lastly the chicken was cooked well and seasoned. We had my daughter's baby shower there on 10-14-23. Divina was the perfect place for our gathering. The room, with the adjacent smaller room, is beautiful and worked very well for a gathering of 28 guests. The staff was wonderful and Enzo, the restaurant manager, could not have been more helpful in answering our questions, fulfilling our requests, and making us feel that the afternoon would be just as we hoped. Found this gem on our way home from a road trip. Owner and staff were friendly and professional. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the eggplant and short ribs, which were both fabulous.
