He's helped us re-seed winter lawn for two years in a row now and did an incredible job cleaning up the yard, removing all the dead grass and reseeding. Update: just like someone else posted prior...when he sees negative reviews he decides to text back with petty insults (see text screen photo 12). Which is fine. He knows he's in the wrong and is a horrible person so he's just upset someone calls him out on his bullshit. Next stop...Court I hired Mr. Jason Blumears on April 26th to make repairs to my back yard irrigation system and to remove 2 raised flower beds. I was told that payment didn't need to be made until after the work was completed. Day 1, Mr. Blumears didn't bother to show up until close to 3:30PM and only did about an hours worth of work as well as demanded being paid a $200 deposit. I was reluctant, but paid it via Zelle anyway, as I needed the work completed. On day 2 (April 27th 2021), Mr. Blumears was a no-call-no-show. He finally text later that day stating he "forgot" about a court appointment he had and that he would show up the next day instead. Day 3 (Wednesday April 28th), I text Mr. Blumears in the morning to inquire when he will be showing up. He states he would arrive exactly at 11:30am and be finished by 3:00pm. Mr. Blumears was again a no-call-no-show so I text him around 1:30pm to ask him where he was. He never text back. At that point I called Mr. Blumears on the phone to let him know I no longer wanted to use him for my project. Mr. Blumears begged and pleaded stating he would be on his way immediately if I just please give him another chance. Again, I was reluctant but agreed. He did show up later that day and left around 5:00pm stating he would be back in the morning between 9-10am to finish up. Day 4 (Thursday April 29th), he arrived late afternoon, he also didn't have a part that needed replaced so he had me go to Home Depot to purchase the parts (costs I had to pay out in addition to the amount he was charging me for the irrigation repair). He finished up close to 4pm. On his invoice, he states that his work not only was to be completed in one day, but also comes with a 1 year warranty. We are now at Monday June 14th and the irrigation system has failed and started to flood my back yard. I attempted to get Mr. Blumears out to make the necessary repairs per his warranty agreement on his invoice. Mr. Blumears proceeded to keep telling me he would come out and was always a no-call-no-show. I text multiple times and now he just completely stopped responding and will not come out to do the warranty work as promised. read more

Its amazing as you read his reviews Jason is extremely consistent, talks a big game, starts a project before he is done talks the next project, tries to take your money and suddenly a no call no show with subpar work. He was hired by me to do side yard pavers and boy was this over his head. He asked for 50% upfront and 50% upon completion, fair. All started ok but then it happened, halfway through the job he convinced my wife to pay him the second 50% and that was the last day we ever saw him, started to ghost us and when he did respond he always promised to be there the next day and never showed. He left the job incomplete and forced us to hire a real contractor to rip up what he had attempted to do and do it right. The ground was completely uneven, there were holes in the paver area, he tried to build a fence as part of this and wow!!!! it was horrible. I was supposed to get gravel and 4 plants around the area well instead he takes rock from another part of my yard and puts some of it there and leaves another part of my yard bare. No gravel, no plants, uneven pavers on the half job he did with gaps and missing areas. He obviously had no clue how to do the job and took on something he couldn't do. He has refused to return any money but did offer to come back and finish the job, no thanks, I hired a real professional to do the work. Will be suing him for what that cost me. DO NOT hire Jason for anything, we heard he has other lawsuits pending and based on reviews here that makes sense. Obviously a pattern of dishonesty and poor work. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Wish I read the reviews before I hired Jason. As someone else said, I was impressed with his enthusiasm and how he reiterated all my needs back to me, making me feel like I was making a good decision in working with him. However, one of my biggest complaints regarding landscapers I've worked with in the past was reliability, and Jason assured me that wouldn't be a problem. Well, what started as a $100 one day repair snowballed into a $500+ project that took 2 weeks, which included me having to constantly check in to see if he would be finishing the job that day. On top of that, each time he did do a little work, he requested payment for that day "to pay his guys". So I felt pressured into shelling out money for a job not completed. I understand quality work comes at a cost, but unfortunately I don't feel like the service I was provided was adequate. Yes, he got the irrigation and plants installed, but he also tore up my turf and haphazardly reinstalled it so it's no longer secured and created a pit for water runoff (whereas it was previously sloped for drainage). When I asked him about this - he merely replied that there is no way to make it like it was before... I find that hard to believe, but if that's the case, it would've been good to know when we were discussing the added line. When he rewired the irrigation timer, he left the old wires, cut and frayed, instead of removing them. He purchased a few plants and installed them for me, and gave me a blanket guarantee. However before the job was even done - I had two shrubs completely dead. I pointed that out as well, and he assured me that they would regrow... which they haven't. One thing I really liked when we first talked was that he made me feel like he understood my vision. I initially requested just an irrigation repair, but added in that if this job goes well - I have much more I want to do, and I was seeking an "expert's advice" in desert landscaping. He talked a big game when it came to landscape design, and I was excited to see what he would do with the space. Before the irrigation work was done, he pushed to move onto the next project (and subsequently pushed for more money). For a period I had holes all in my yard, but no plants. As my patience was waning to get the job done, I offered to just buy plants myself if he could reimburse me for what I gave him to spend at the nursey. He declined, instead I got stuck with a motley arrangement in the front of my house. Half dead and mismatched. He informed me that was all he could afford. Meanwhile, I could've purchased Vinca for $4 /pack of 6 at home depot. It was so bad, I ended up replacing them a couple weeks later. Well. I think I've said enough about my grievance. Hopefully you'll take this with a grain of salt when making your own decision. read more

I was hesitant to post this review because I really wanted to like Jason and I was impressed with his enthusiasm/kindness. I am a small business owner and would never want to have to resort to a review. I just don't want anyone else to have a similar experience because Yelp connected me with his service through an ad. I feel as though I lost my hard earned money by going through Divine Evolutions and I just don't want anyone else to feel this way. It started off wonderful, he was communicative, on time and handy. I was excited because I just purchased my first place. We have a small back area and I was so excited to transform with Jason's help and services. We started the project in March. It has yet to be completed. I am too busy trying to run my business alone to be constantly checking on someone else. I referred a few clients to Jason through word of mouth but I don't feel as though I will keep these referrals. Not entirely sure what happened to Jason but he just stopped showing up. Often did not come when he said he would and did not finish the numerous times he said he would. Although I wish him well I feel as though I need to be transparent with my experience cause it's not a good feeling. I had Divine Evolution out to overseed my Bermuda grass. Jason and team showed up as scheduled and got right to work. They scalped, raked, collected all the grass, and seeded in record time. Jason gave me thorough watering instructions, and even sprayed herbicide to tackle some of the tough grass I had growing through my rock beds. Great service and easy communication throughout! I'm really impressed with these guys! I was looking for someone to blow and remove all of the leaves in my yard, which was a lot. Our HOA was telling us we needed to get it done and we're struggling to find time or energy to do it ourselves. So, I messaged several different people and found that Divine Evolution had the best prices and service. When we came out to take a look at the work, we were really happy with the results. Don't hire him for anything but gardening/clean-up. Please read the reviews! You WILL lose your money. Unfortunately I didn't read reviews and we lost a lot of money with him. He will talk big and promise the world and what you get is work that is severely below standard with some material used- anything to put another buck in his own pocket. When you start to catch on he will then disappear. He would rather promise to come " tomorrow" and do the exhausting job of lying everyday instead of actually having the integrity to show up and finish the job he was paid for and make things right. We hired someone else to do the job Jason was paid to do. The new worker confirmed just how bad the small amount he did was. They had to re-do it all. Also, he will lie to your face to try and get paid ahead of time, then bail. There is a reason he has multiple law suits against him. To be fair, the gardening aspect he did was ok. A one day project/ clean-up he knows he can't get paid until he's done and does it correctly. Anything else, is just like all the other reviews said. I agree 100 percent. Needed small rock yard cleared of weeds. Backyard had mostly ground weeds but there were several BIG fluffy weeds that needed to be cut and dug out. Scheduled for Monday AM but was contacted and said by end of day. Jason did call around ,330 and said an hour away come tonight and come back in the morning. I said if possible just come tomorrow. They showed up around 930 am and did a fantastic job of clearing weeds, raking up everything blowing all the small debris out of the yard and hauling it all away. As a new homeowner that went through numerous other landscaper quotes and reviews before finding Jason and Divine Evolution Landscaping, I am so thankful that I trusted him with my project. Jason was extremely transparent throughout the entire process (from quote to finish), did a thorough job with my yard, and also helped me better understand my irrigation and other ways he can help keep my yard perfect. // Even though my front yard is more of a desert landscape (the littering kind, not cacti...), and the backyard mostly keeps that theme with an added lemon tree and plot of grass, it was overwhelmingly overgrown and filled with weeds. Jason completely cleaned up both yard areas and the side yards, making them look much more groomed than I could have imagined. You can actually see the cool rock designs and every small plant in my front lawn now, instead of a bunch of dried brush and leaves!
