She's been walking my large 7 y/o pup Paxi for a few months now and he's also boarded at Ruth's a few times, most recently for about 17 days. I can't recommend Ruth highly enough. She has a deep love of dogs and my dog clearly loves her. She is very responsible and accommodating of my schedule changes. She has a strong understanding of dog behavior and training techniques, and she has even managed to get my fearful dog to go into the ocean on his own for the first time! She is a great communicator, letting me know well in advance if we need to alter our schedule, and proactively bringing up issues that need to be addressed with my dog (ie, need for more recall training). Ruth can also board dogs at her home and I have peace of mind knowing that he is well taken care of at his home away from home.
