Excellent espresso at a small coffee stand. The green chili burrito was good as well. Definitely recommend the coffee for sure.

Inside, there was an amazing selection of pastries, salads, and local products. My favorite was the chocolate orange cake, which was moist with a subtle orange flavor. My dad loved the vegetarian croissant, and my mom enjoyed the blueberry croissant. Everything was delicious, though the pastries were a little on the denser side. The real standout for me was the coffee. I ordered a plain iced latte, and it was strong, smooth, and not bitter at all. You can also add vanilla or classic syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink. Friendly service, a huge variety of baked goods, and I heard they even serve pizza in the afternoons. I'll definitely be back!

Strawberry maritozzi: Of all of the pastries this was actually my last favorite. I felt like the bread was a bit dry and flavorless. The cream was good however and not too sweet like your typical American dessert. I think if they could some how use a different type of bun that isn't as dry, this would be amazing. 2. Caprese Sandwich (wrap): This was incredible. I really liked this sandwich. It was so flavorful and the balance of the pesto and chicken was amazing. Highly recommend. Very large and filling too. 3. Mushroom focaccia: Loved this! Focaccia was fluffy and a very generous amount of mushrooms on top. 4. Passion Fruit pasty: I LOVED this! It reminds me of being in hawaii again and reminded me of the malasalas there however in a pastry dough form. 5. Chocolate pistachio croissant: High quality pasty very fluffy and light with huge amount of chocolate. Overall, I felt like the savory items were incredible and overshadowed the sweet items. The sweet were still good though. Everything was high quality and fairly priced. Only item that I wouldn't get again is the Maritozzi.

They make good pastries here and they are very serious about making great coffee. The service is very good and it's a great place to sit and work on your laptop. On my most recent visit, I tried their specialty hot latte which was called the Worker Bee Latte. It had bee pollen and honey, of course, plus a touch of mint. I enjoyed it, although it tasted almost like a healthy drink because of the bee pollen! I typically enjoy their gluten free pumpkin muffin, which is delicious! This location of avid doesn't have as many food options as their Santa Rosa location, but it's all still very good. They have some fun merchandise here, and my wife bought one of their t-shirts the other day.

Quality of the lattes was mid. Just tasted like steamed milk. The barista kept pouring out milk and espresso after steaming and brewing it for some reason, so maybe the machine wasn't working right? Hot chocolates for the kids were well received. They use a liquid chocolate base with steamed milk on top.

Many fun groups meet here for community dinners. Interest groups can include Peace Corps Volunteers, Metal Workers, Programmers, Park Docents, Ex-Pats, Climate Professionals, and so many more. A rotating artist gallery is on the walls at all times. Live painting events have occurred countless times. The food is amazing. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I've enjoy countless sandwiches and desserts since I first moved here in 2005. My favorite is the Sonoma Smoked Duck panini--with Dijon mayo, caramelized onions, Gruyère cheese, and an organic mixed spring greens side salad. Absolutely delightful.

We chose to share a delicious Spinach Fig salad, with fresh spinach, goat cheese, tomatoes and pecans with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The Veggie Friday panini contained roasted asparagus, roasted sweet peppers, eggplant, portobello mushrooms, goat cheese and sun-dried tomato spread. Order at the counter, choose a table and the food is brought out very quickly. Folks at the counter were very nice. The beer and wine choices are excellent to complement the dishes. The night we were there the poetry club was also meeting . In addition there are other community events and live music on some evenings. Overall, the restaurant has a warm and welcoming ambiance.

I looked online to see what they have and went there after some errands. I ordered a large drip coffee but was told that they're out of it and she suggested an americano instead. Still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that they ran out of drip coffee, I went with her recommendation and also ordered the avocado toast. This was just an overall bad experience! 1. The girl who took my order and brought my coffee out never once smiled. She was pleasant enough, but clearly did not want to be there today and didn't hide it on her face, nor in her demeanor. 2. You're a coffee shop so how do you run out of drip coffee? Don't you just make a fresh pot like all the other shops do? I'm still shaking my head at this one. I'm glad the americano was only $3.50 because it tasted exactly like weak diner coffee. To be fair though, it was my first experience with an americano. 3. The price for the avocado toast in the shop does not match the price on their online menu. Online it's $10 but at the physical location it's $12. More importantly, the person who made the avocado toast did not make it correctly for a couple of reasons: the avocado itself was HARD, RUBBERY, and CRUNCHY. It actually took a bit of effort to cut into one thin slice of avocado with the plastic knife and fork. Avocado, as you know, is easily smashable with lightish pressure. Said person knew damn well when they cut into the avocado that it should not have been served to a customer but they did it anyway. They also made my food as some sort of a weird greasy hybrid between two of the items on the menu (the avocado toast and the smoked salmon toast), not at all what I had ordered. The plus side is that I got arugula that I shouldn't have otherwise had on it. Did I eat the food and drink the coffee? Yes but only because I was on a time crunch and I'm was starving so I choked it down and quickly left. I really feel like I just threw away $20 (with tip) that I should have spent elsewhere on something better. Maybe they had a bad or an off day, but I definitely don't care to go back to find out.
