So happy to see a new coffee shop in the area! It's difficult for me to find a consistently good matcha in Marin without having to drive an extra 30 to 45 minutes. I appreciated that this coffee shop had so much personality! The ambiance is welcoming. Service was good. I ordered the salted maple matcha with oat milk (less sweet + extra matcha) and cornbread (last one of the day). I was told another small business supplies this place with its baked goods! I found the cornbread to be a bit dry, but it's possible it had been sitting out for a while. The matcha itself had an overly bitter aftertaste. As someone who considers herself a matcha connoisseur, I found the bitterness went beyond what I personally enjoy. It overpowered the drink rather than enhancing the matcha flavor! If I order it again, I'd probably keep the sweetness level the same while still adding extra matcha powder. I don't have any notes for the cold foam. My boyfriend and I sat outside for about an hour enjoying our time and talking about the new Spiderman movie. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the morning. Overall - 3/5. read more

I heard of this coffee shop on social media and wanted to try it today since my coffee maker just crapped out on me this morning. I looked online to see what they have and went there after some errands. I ordered a large drip coffee but was told that they're out of it and she suggested an americano instead. Still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that they ran out of drip coffee, I went with her recommendation and also ordered the avocado toast. This was just an overall bad experience! 1. The girl who took my order and brought my coffee out never once smiled. She was pleasant enough, but clearly did not want to be there today and didn't hide it on her face, nor in her demeanor. 2. You're a coffee shop so how do you run out of drip coffee? Don't you just make a fresh pot like all the other shops do? I'm still shaking my head at this one. I'm glad the americano was only $3.50 because it tasted exactly like weak diner coffee. To be fair though, it was my first experience with an americano. 3. The price for the avocado toast in the shop does not match the price on their online menu. Online it's $10 but at the physical location it's $12. More importantly, the person who made the avocado toast did not make it correctly for a couple of reasons: the avocado itself was HARD, RUBBERY, and CRUNCHY. It actually took a bit of effort to cut into one thin slice of avocado with the plastic knife and fork. Avocado, as you know, is easily smashable with lightish pressure. Said person knew damn well when they cut into the avocado that it should not have been served to a customer but they did it anyway. They also made my food as some sort of a weird greasy hybrid between two of the items on the menu (the avocado toast and the smoked salmon toast), not at all what I had ordered. The plus side is that I got arugula that I shouldn't have otherwise had on it. Did I eat the food and drink the coffee? Yes but only because I was on a time crunch and I'm was starving so I choked it down and quickly left. I really feel like I just threw away $20 (with tip) that I should have spent elsewhere on something better. Maybe they had a bad or an off day, but I definitely don't care to go back to find out. read more

I never knew this place existed! It's such a cute, casual breakfast spot with seats outside right by the water. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and bring your food out. I got an iced Cubano and it was perfect. Sweet but you can taste the coffee. I also got the breakfast sando and it had avocado in it, which was a good touch. My friend had the BLT and she said it was so good. Definitely want to come back and try other items on the menu! read more

Like another reviewer, we were staying at the Sheraton and came across this place on yelp while checking for alternatives to the hotel restaurant If you walk down the hotel front, just walk to the end of the building structure and turn left by the mailbox in the parking lot and you should see it It is a small cozy space with limited seating. There is both indoor and outdoor seating of their own along with some outdoor tables overlooking the marina. I took our order back to the hotel room to share with my wife. It gets locals as well. As I was waiting, I saw some people pull up and get out and come in. They have a nicely curated little selection of snack items, but that is for another time. Avocado toast and caught my eye in one of the reviews, but when I arrived, it does not appear to include a poached egg in their version Instead, I went with the egg frittata with avocado and bacon sandwich and a smoked salmon and whipped cream cheese, open-faced sandwich. The bacon was meaty and nicely salty. The egg frittata sandwich is probably my favorite. The salmon and cream cheese is good, but commonplace. Capers might improve it or arugula. The name of the place is Caffeine so we had a cappuccino and a flat white Both of which are quite good. read more

This coffee spot is AMAZING! I came here for the first time last weekend and had such a good time. It's a great way to start a morning. I got the popular breakfast sando and it's by far one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in Sonoma county. I also ordered the el cubano americano and it was very flavorful! The service and ambiance is hard to beat. Miguel was very friendly and made my order quickly. The inside and outside of the shop has amazing views of the Marina. Absolutely amazing service and coffee! I was looking for coffee as we were staying at the Sheraton nearby. The owner Miguel was such a friendly face, he welcomed us in immediately and offered us suggestions. He was even open on New Years Day! He allows dogs and took a picture of our puppy to put on his dog wall. I was so impressed by his shop that I had questions about myself opening up a shop in the future. He was even generous enough to give me a coffee tutorial and took the time to teach and chat with me. Absolutely amazing experience and would come back again! read more

After hearing about this location on FB, I found them on Instagram and thought they looked like something I would want to know more about. I was specifically intrigued by their seasonal lunches and the s'mores mocha. Getting to the location is a little weird- for some reason I thought they were located inside of the hotel but they're in a completely different building. Parking was ample and free and we were the only ones in the cafe the whole time we were there. The lady behind the counter greeted us and we asked some questions about the menu. After finding out that they were out of some things, I opted for the BLT and he opted for the breakfast sandwich. For drinks of course I ordered the s'mores mocha and he had a plain drip coffee. While we waited for things be made, we walked down the boardwalk and took in the sights (and smells) of the bay. It was windy but beautiful but unfortunately it was also full of flies so we ended up going back inside. Once back in the restaurant, the lady behind the counter had a long phone conversation that sounded very private and probably needed to be taken in her car or at a time where she was not with customers in a tiny Cafe. Our food arrived a while later since she was on her personal call for a long time. My BLT was very mediocre. The bread was dry, the lettuce and tomatoes tasted like water and there was nothing on the bread to redeem it other than the bacon. His breakfast sandwich was also very bland and very lackluster, he said it tasted premade and very bland. Unfortunately the drinks were no better. His coffee tasted burned and so did my s'mores mocha which looked nothing like what they posted on their Instagram. I only got down two sips before I threw in the towel the mess of that beverage. It's really a shame because this could be a really cute place to hang out and do some work and sip on a beverage- but the food was terrible and so were the drinks.... I really had high hopes but this was a pretty huge disappointment. read more

They pull a solid shot for all your espresso-based drinks. The shop itself is quite small with some limited indoor seating and a couple of tables outside as well, which appeared to be dog friendly. It's so small that I'm not sure this is an ideal place to set up to study or work for an extended period of time. It can be quite busy during the morning rush so definitely order ahead using their website. Parking is plentiful and free. They have the best specials , I was on vacation and got the salted maple with cold foam everyday I could. My girlfriend got the London fog and said it was also one of the best she's had. They are on the marina so it's usually not too crowded at this time. I forgot her name but she made the best cold foam I've ever tasted, she was there on Tuesday. An "ease into your morning" oasis. If you're looking for a nice pause before the rush of your day and a killer cup of coffee.. look no further. Caffeine Inc clearly understands that good cup of coffee takes both bold espresso and some patience for a perfect pour. They're located in a small corner shop by the Sheraton. Something you'd miss if you didn't know they were there, but it's a nice change up from the sometimes packed mornings of downtown. Plus, look at that view from their back patio! I had the Cubano Americano and ordered it iced. Miguel, the super nice owner, made it. It had condensed milk and I was worried it would be too sweet and lose the espresso flavor I came for... it does not. The espresso here is rich and bold and the condense milk was the perfect, almost caramel like, cut to it. I also had the breakfast sando which is local egg frittata with nice chunks of peas, corn, and other veggies. It's on crunchy local bread or English muffin with cheddar cheese, bacon (they were out so they added extra avocado), avocado, and sriracha mayo which adds a nice kick. Upon coming in I loved the whole esthetic of the coffee shop. It is small entering the shop but there is a few tables inside as well as outside. I ordered an iced Coffee and breakfast sandwich.
