They can find books easier and more readily than a simple web search. If you need a title, they go out of their way to find it. Their service has always been excellent. They host book clubs and author visits. I've attended an author visit that happens to occur while I was shopping, and that sold me two new books. I was most pleased. Cost was what I consider to be normal for book prices. Same seemed true for cards and stationery. They've also supplied cards and stationery. A definite bonus. Well worth attending! There is a mixture of all sorts of books, including government publications, small brochures, self-published books, and textbooks. I found a couple of books that I've never seen before. I spent over an hour here just looking at books in one specific area because they are piled on the floor and on top of the bookshelves. There are sections for all genres of books, but it can be a bit difficult to navigate especially on busy weekends. It is only open a handful of hours per week, so certainly check their Facebook page! Once you catch them on their open days, it is certainly worth it! It is such a small book store that each book in there has a reason, as it says in their bio! There is a section for each type of reader, small and older! Even though the bookstore isn't large, I find myself browsing for a very long time at each and every section of the store! There is definitely something for every one!

I know some think half price books can be hit or miss, this location has NEVER failed me. I always leave here with more than I thought I would with the biggest smile on my face. The ladies at the checkout were helpful and make pleasant conversation that doesn't feel forced, which is so nice. Often times they'll comment on the book selection you've brought over and if you're lucky, they've read it too! When you hear people say "shop small" or "support local" this is the exact store that should get that support. After checking it out, I went online and learned the owner's story.
