Division Wines is one of my favorite places in Portland. Every time I stop in, I'm greeted by the best staff and reasonable prices for delicious wine. Staff is great at giving recommendations and the pours are on the heavier side. Don't skip out on their food menu; charcuterie boards are fantastic, and they usually have a homemade soup on special. Staying nearby and decided mri try this place for dinner and taste some local wines. Did not disappoint. I ordered a wine flight, the spreads, and the marcona almonds. My flight consisted of Shiba Wichern Van Duzer Havlin Vineyard Auxerrois , Red Oregon wine of the day (pinot noir), & sangria. All went well with the food. Then vibe is low key, drink and eat what you want. You can buy a bottle from the store and enjoy with or without food. I bought an extra bottle of the Auxerrois to enjoy back at home. read more

I have always received personalized guidance and suggestions from the incredibly knowledgable staff. Their domestic and international selections are diverse and unique and they also carry organic, biodynamic and female-made wines. I've seen the tastings going on as of recent and have yet to get to enjoy but it's definitely on my list! Division wine is an adorable little wine store. Plenty of bottles to choose from to take home, or enjoy in the store. To the left there is a small area with a bar & seating to enjoy some wine and snacks if you choose. They have many wine glass options as well as flights of wine- 3 tastes for 14$ . We were fortunate enough to be poured wine by Garrett. He was so welcoming & friendly, poured us some great wines and fixed us a yummy cheese plate all in a cozy atmosphere. After a big breakfast and an early afternoon full of sightseeing, hubby and I just wanted to try something simple for a snack. We also wanted to sample some wine so did a quick Yelp search and voila! Division Wines it is. We were the only ones in there, but our host, Brock, was very nice and talkative and made us feel very at home. Super knowledgeable about the wines he was serving, which made it all the better. We chose two separate wine flights - a random one and one with NW wines only. Each flight was three wines a piece. We also got a spreads plate to split - baguette bread with hummus, tapenade and a roasted red pepper one. This place was seriously just a fun but relaxing way to spend an hour or so. We got to sample six total wines, figure out why Oregon is a Pinot Noir hotspot, and have a super cool chat with an awesome host. If we were locals, we'd come back for sure. read more

Love this local wine bar! Cute outdoor seating area on both the side and in front. We were heading to dinner after our visit, so we stuck to some light snacks - olives and the three dips. My girlfriend (avid wine drinker) and I (not so much) came to this place for her birthday. You read the reviews on here and it almost seems too good to be true, but wow. The service here was phenomenal. From pouring water and having a light conversation with you, to wine suggestions catered to your preferences, it was an amazing experience (Thank you Will, Danyelle, and Garrett!). My girlfriend and I both had wine flights (they were generous pours compared to most other wineries & wine bars I've been to), the meat & cheese board (good portions, plenty for two), and creme brulee (so delicious). Everything was very reasonably priced, and the service was definitely one of the best I've received. We'll definitely become regulars here. read more

How have I lived in this fair city and not have stepped foot inside this place? Admittedly, I've only been legal to drink for about 10 years but... OK so yeah - 10 years its taken for me to be wowed by this gem. A friend who's been dropping hints about this place finally woo'ed me to come in and check it out. She raved about the excellent service from the owners and staff and the fantastic list of wines by the glass. The wine bar is also a wine shop, which means if you buy a bottle from them and want to open it there, they will do it for ya ( pretty sure its 10 bucks corkage for anything under 50 bucks). The place is charming, with neat stamped metal ceilings and industrial light fixtures. It kind of reminds me of a Restoration Hardware catalogue. Lots of bar seating and a few tables for small groups. The biggest props to this place is their solid service. Im not a huge talker so i was really happy they were able to guide me in choosing an appropriate wine to go with what I ordered ( only drank on the second visit). The server knew exactly what to say to each wine I inquired about and didn't come off as snobby ( which for sure is a problem at other places around town). Additionally, they will pour a half glass ( and have a sick wine flight you can put together). Food was what you would expect from a wine place - meat and cheese boards, bread ( I think from Little T), olives, etc. The soup changes often and they have a couple of salads as well. I will definitely add this to my roster of regulars. As should you (or at the very least, go in and have a glass of something special). read more

Located on the corner of Division & 35th, I like this place a lot! Half of the storefront is a wine store, the other a wine bar. GREAT selection of wines from around the world and at all price points. Prices were clearly marked, which is appreciated as we hate having to ask. The tasting, at $14, included very generous pours. We had our server (I believe one of the owners) select our tastings. She was knowledgeable about the wines and chose well for us, based on what we had told her. Decent amount of seating--the decor was wood and industrial, with some cool Edison lighting. When we first arrived, the service wasn't overly friendly. She got better the longer we were there. If she hadn't, we wouldn't be going back. Overall, it was a great place to spend a rainy autumn afternoon and we intend to go back soon. read more

I keep returning to and recommending Division Wines. It's a cozy place with a wonderful flight of wine from an excellent selection. You can enjoy a happy hour or a light dinner with fresh, delicious food. And their $16 flight of wine (3 different pours, 1/2 glass each) is a great value with you selecting your own customized choices! Division Wines is such a gem of a neighborhood wine shop. I make an effort to stop by and buy a bottle or 2 when shopping on Division. The owners are the type of people you want helping you pick out wine: extremely hospitable, knowledgable about the selection, and unpretentious. Wine selection is diverse and impressive. I once spent an hour wandering around the shop just reading labels and talking shop with the owner. I haven't had a chance to do in-house tastings yet since the wine bar is still closed due to COVID. They had a wonderful wine list and let you create your own wine flight for $14 and by "create your own" I mean they literally allow you to pick whatever 3 wines off their list and they pour a pretty big pour for each which was a huge bonus!
