We only stay places about 4 weeks and if we don't call ahead of our next stop, most places are full and not taking any more dogs. We most often have to resort to PetSmart or Petco and we pay the same amount of money or more and the cut is never as good as the local groomers. We want to shop and spend our money with local businesses but its hard when you're not regular customer. Thankfully, we were able to jump into a spot with about 2 weeks out notice and that worked for us. What worked for us: ------------------------------------- They had a spot for us! They offered a full grooming service with nails, teeth, ears, etc.. They agreed to not 'treat' Charlie while grooming him. (he has a very sensitive stomach) They asked questions about what we wanted and confirmed the cut we were looking for (we showed the last PetSmart groomer 6 photos and told him exactly what we wanted and they still shaved off our Charlie's eyebrows???) They could do a Schnauzer cut (mostly the Schnauzer head is what we're looking for) They about 90 minute (most of the PetCo/Smart places require 3-4 hours???) They were easy to locate They had parking for our big truck (we have an F450 Dually) What did not work: ----------------------------------- Can't think of anything. One would never think this about their own animal. I used this place for my last time on June 25th, 2024. I never knew it would be my babies last. He died the following morning. So I had to go get my boys' leash and collar. The first thing said from the Mgr was how is he, I said Dead. I was quite upset and said I can't believe you waited until yesterday to tell me, and I left him in a happy mood."" The Mgr kept trying to get me out of the office, not having it I stayed. So he then kept proceeding to say every time you left him to go play "I would laugh because I would stick him in a crate." I said what? He continued with he's too old and should have been gone a long time ago.

His tech hurt my dog and now my dog is terrified and won't go back because of his fear of them. He's a special needs dog who was an abused dog before I got him and he has major anxiety and trust issues. I called them out on it (hurting my dog) and they suggested I drug my dog up next time before bringing him in. They suggested I drug my dog up before coming in so they can cut his nails?! When I mentioned this to Ryan Bowler that his tech hurt my dog he just shrugged it off and suggested because it didn't bleed that he wasn't hurt. I about lost it. When I told him I was taking my dog to someone else he just dismissed it like he couldn't care less. No apologies, offers, consolations or considerations to keep us he just dismissed us like we were nothing to him. He literally couldn't care less. I've been bringing Harly in for a couple years and then they did this like it was just business as usual so I told him I was done with his horrible practice. I've had issues with him before over the $70 exam fee that he spent doing for less than two minutes to tell me yep he's okay all for $70. I'm telling you these people will hurt your dog and then act like it was yours or the dog's fault! Worst veterinarian I've ever had after 30 years of owning dogs and going to vets I've ever encountered. You want your pet to be abused this is your guy! WARNING GO AT THE RISK OF YOUR PET!!

SOUTHWEST EMERGENCY VET CLINIC came up with EMERGENCY CARE HOURS M-F 5:00 pm until 8:00am & 24 hrs Sat. & Sun. (normal hours that a regular vet is closed). I grabbed my baby and rushed down to the clinic only to find a CLOSED SIGN on the door with a "SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE" noted at the top. Confused by the "CLOSED UNTIL SATURDAY 10/6 @ 5:00pm", since 10/6 is a Monday (not a Saturday), so what day and time are they really open??? I called the emergency # given at the bottom (since my puppy is still struggling to breathe), when the girl answered...I was told that there were NO VETS AVAILABLE therefore they are CLOSED and I could take my dog to the emergency clinic in LAS VEGAS (2 hrs away) or WAIT until the vet clinics open at 8 am in St. George (still 2 hrs until opening). If it's an EMERGENCY... you DON'T HAVE 2 hrs to WAIT!!!) THE girl that supposedly was a vet tech on the phone was VERY NON CARING about the situation. Recently my daughters dog cocker spaniel Ring needed physical therapy after her body shut down for an unknown reason, after her awesome veterinarian care at Color country animal hospital we knew we needed to help Ring gain her her muscle tone back and learn how to use her body properly again. With Anita's massage therapy, red light therapy, physical, and hydro therapy Ring is doing amazing we have had 6 visit's and when we go to the sessions Ring gets stronger every time, and my daughter has homework to do at home as well.
