Warning.... Do not take your dog to All Fur Love for grooming in Washington!! I scheduled an…read moreappointment for a hair and nail trim for my small Pomeranian Chihuahua. Today when I showed up I explained I wanted her hair shaped and trimmed and nails done. 2 hours later they called me and said she was ready. When I showed up they had a bandana tied around her neck covering the front. Which I thought was weird because they never have done that before. But my dog seemed happy and I paid for the service and left. When I got home I took off the bandana and noticed they shaved a patch of hair off of her neck and there is a huge chunk of hair missing down to the skin. I immediately knew why they put the bandana on her to cover up their mistake. I called All Fur Love and asked to talk to the groomer. I explained what I found and told her I was very disappointed that they weren't honest with me when I picked her up. They tried to hide it and covered it up without saying anything. The groomer denied making any mistake or trying to cover it up and claimed the dogs hair was like that when she got there! Are you kidding me? It most definitely wasn't. I told her I don't appreciate being lied to and expected a full refund and to talk to the owner. She then claimed to be the owner and refused to admit any wrongdoing. They did eventually refund me for the cost of the appointment, but I am so disappointed in how they handled this! If they were honest when I showed up and said that there was an accident and showed me the damage, I would have been understanding. But to lie and say her hair was like that when she came is just dishonest and shameful. I will not be going back to this business and either should you!

No apology, no accountability, just pure negligence. Since they refuse to acknowledge their incompetence, I have only this to say: I hope they stub their toe. I hope that, as they walk out of the shower, they step directly on a LEGO. And when they finally go to sleep, exhausted from a long day of ruining people's pets, I hope both sides of their pillow are warm. Do yourself a favor: stay far away from this place. Recently my daughters dog cocker spaniel Ring needed physical therapy after her body shut down for an unknown reason, after her awesome veterinarian care at Color country animal hospital we knew we needed to help Ring gain her her muscle tone back and learn how to use her body properly again. With Anita's massage therapy, red light therapy, physical, and hydro therapy Ring is doing amazing we have had 6 visit's and when we go to the sessions Ring gets stronger every time, and my daughter has homework to do at home as well. So let's start with the positives! This place is cute, clean and has tons of healthy options for…read moreyour pet. It also happened to be the only place in town that carried my dogs prior pet food (small batch pets). I started coming here weekly about two years ago. Initially I really loved the customer service here. Some younger girls were working and not only did my pet love them- but I did as well. They were warm, helpful and outgoing. Then something shifted - I walked in one day and the owner Kate was discussing prior employee with another customer. Bad mouthing them and discussing how the had moved to work for her "competition". Maybe I'm just too "community over competition" oriented but this experience put a horrible taste in the mouth. Everytime I've seen Kate the owner after she's just very off putting, she's condescending and rude. Not a friendly woman in any form. There are other local pet stores in stgeorge that you could patronize that undoubtedly treat their employees, past employees and customers with more kindness. Also, the owner is VERY money oriented. It doesn't really matter how much you've been there-there used to be free samples which they now charge for.

I took my puppy Nala to Makayla for her very first puppy grooming yesterday. We decided that she…read morewould be left somewhat fluffy, with her fur about 3/4" long. when I returned to pick her up I was shocked to find she was almost shaved but since that was only cosmetic I didn't say anything about it. I thanked Makayla and tipped her well. On the way home it was obvious something was really wrong with Nala. She wouldn't stop crying or shaking her head. She was rubbing her ears. She was also scratching, licking and rubbing her bottom and her paws. When I got home I couldn't seem to soothe her so I looked in her ears and saw the bloody mess you see in these pictures. At just 12 weeks old, Nala was way too young to have the hair removed from her ears. But regardless, no dog should ever be injured during their grooming and their hair should never be pulled so violently from their ears as to tear the skin and make it bleed. To make matters worse Makayla's set up is far less than sanitary. Poor Nala has a fever tonight and her ears are obviously infected. I've made an appointment with the vet for tomorrow, which was the soonest they could get her in, and in the meantime I spoke with a couple of vets and a vet tech that I know who recommended some pain medication and topical ointment to help ease Nala's discomfort. That was another $50. Then I will have the vet bill tomorrow and I'm sure the course of antibiotics to pay for. Still, the cost isn't nearly as important to me as the fact that my dog was injured being groomed and I didn't get so much as an apology out of Makayla. She told me if I brought Nala over there today she would pour alcohol in her ears! That sounds so incredibly painful I couldn't believe she suggested it and when I told the vet it had been suggested he was incredulous. He said not only would that create extreme pain but it would make the situation much worse. I'm still not sure what's going on with her paws or her bottom, but I will have the vet check her out thoroughly tomorrow. The bottom line is that a competent groomer would NEVER have done something like this! A decent human being would've at least apologized and offered a refund. I felt an obligation to write this post with the hope that I might help prevent someone else's beloved pet from being injured at Makayla's hands.
