When I reconnected the battery, I didn't tighten the terminals properly, so just as I parked my car at the dealership, the battery died. I left 2 separate messages to 2 separate mechanics AND told in person a service rep, that the battery was drained but all it needed was to be tightened and recharged. The dealer "tested" the battery, confirmed it was "dead" (duh), and proceeded to tell me I needed a new battery (for almost $400) and a diagnostics (for nearly $200). Knowing perfectly well what the issue was, I refused and had my car towed to Steve's instead (I have AAA) where Shaun and Jordan simply left a trickle-charger connected over the weekend and now the car runs just fine. And I was charged nothing! What a class act! I will never go to a VW dealer again, ESPECIALLY not VW of Ann Arbor. If you have a European car, just go to Steve's and save yourself from being robbed by a stealership.

Needless to say about four months later because of all the engine oil burning and everything the engine finally seized at 88,000 miles. I wouldn't take a matchbox car to get repaired there.

Accidents happen. Cleanup is part of the job. Treating nearby residents like obstacles instead of people is a choice. Not only did they fail to fix the problem, they failed to diagnose the problem. They didn't even replace both rear brake pads and rotors as they said they would. I'm now out $450 and in the same boat I was in but with uneven braking. After talking to the owner, it was clear they only wanted to sell me on more repairs. They had no interest in making it right. My 2015 MINI John Cooper Works needed an oil change. I am very iffy about where I take my vehicle to for servicing. You can't trust just anybody to work on your vehicle when you are away from home. So I looked up Detroit Tuned to take my MINI for servicing. They gave me an appointment for a Thursday when I understood it was on a Wednesday, however when I showed up at Detroit tuned on the Wednesday they did not hesitate to give me service right away. These people are awesome. They made me feel welcomed. Their business is nice and clean. They have a nice lounge with a sofa with a TV and games if you want to play while you wait. They also have lots of performance parts they sell in case you feel like modifying your MINI and want to make it fast or other upgrading. There service is awesome, swift and they well inform you on what they did and how to well care for your MINI. I definitely recommend Detroit Tuned for all your MINI needs.
