I came here after I started hearing some noises from the brakes on my vehicle. I explained exactly what I was hearing, where it was coming from, and how to replicate it. They charged me $450 to diagnose and fix the problem. They claimed the rear brakes were installed incorrectly and needed to be redone (just had new brakes put in, in the fall). Not only did they fail to fix the problem, they failed to diagnose the problem. They didn't even replace both rear brake pads and rotors as they said they would. I'm now out $450 and in the same boat I was in but with uneven braking. After talking to the owner, it was clear they only wanted to sell me on more repairs. They had no interest in making it right. The guy is a salesman not a mechanic. Would not recommend. read more

Chuck is like having my Uncle and Father-in-Law looking after my old cars. I've been taking cars to him since 1997. He never makes me replace or fix something I don't have to, but he always fixes what needs to be fixed. I trust him. My wife trusts him. He can pretty much fix anything. I had a Geo Prizm go for 180,000. A Saturn L300 go for 140,000. He's got my wifes Town & Country humming along beautifully at 130,000. Little tweaks here and there. Always reminding me to do the right, preventative maintenance at the right times. And of course, every oil change on every car (after we hit 36,000 miles) was done at Al Dean's. It's like this ...most of us don't know anything about cars. So if an "expert" says it's time to flush our transmission fluid or replace our serpentine belt, who are we to argue. I don't know a good brake from a bad one or how to tell when I need one, but with Chuck keeping an eye on my car and all those things, I don't have to. I can say with certainty Al Dean's is an honest and reliable auto shop. The exhaust pipe on my car broke so I had these guys look at it. Since my vehicle has more cross beams than usual on the bottom, it would have been around $1,000 to repair. I found some oil marks on the ground where my car usually parks. My husband sent my car to a garage nearby to check the problem. They told him it was the transmission leak and they were not able to repair it. He then took my car to AI Dean's. He had his car repaired at here before and is very satisfied with their service. They checked my car and found it was actually the transfer case that was leaking. It is very expensive to repair/replace the transfer case. They suggested my husband to check with the dealer as soon as possible because it might be still under the warranty. They even recorded a clear video to show the leaking problem so that we can show the dealer the problem. My husband sent the car to a dealership and was told it was still under warranty. They replace the case without any charge!!! AI Dean's helped us to save a few thousand dollars!!! read more

I took my Chevy Equinox in for an evaluation to see if it was worth repairing and at what cost. The inspection was $80 and I was given two options for possible repair. After contemplating repair costs I decided to look at new cars. The owner understood completely and even waived my $80 fee. I always bring my car(s) here. Al Dean's has very friendly staff and they do what they can to save you money on repairs that would normally be more expensive anyplace else. Some repairs will take longer than others but they are usually good about giving you time estimates. They offer you a ride when you drop your car off, they have complementary coffee available and, if you're close by, they may be able to drop your car off after they're done working on it. There parking lot is often full of cars that need work most of the time so plan on bringing your car in when they open up. if you want the work done ASAP. read more

My husband's truck broke down on I-75 when he was heading North for the weekend. It was towed to Aldean's Auto and checked out on Saturday. After some usual codes were detected and diagnostic tests run, the mechanics found fried fuses, particularly the anti theft fuse causing the truck to shut off. This is by far my favorite AUTO SHOP for repairs! I have been coming to them for about 20 years now and they have saved me hundreds of dollars on repairs that most shops would not have been as honest. I was told that I needed a rack and pinion replaced on my car which would have cost me between $650-$$800 and once the mechanic Don finished with his diagnosis it only cost me $320.
