This was one of the most unprofessional and disturbing interactions I've ever had with someone representing a service company. A driver responding to an accident in front of our home dumped vehicle debris onto our property without permission, using our garbage cans as if they were public equipment. At no point did he ask, explain, or show the slightest consideration for the homeowners whose property he was affecting. When my wife tried to address the situation, he immediately escalated to aggressive, hostile language and an intimidating demeanor. It was unsafe enough for the police to be called. While we waited for them to arrive, he directed the same behavior toward me. Troy Auto Transport on Stephenson Hwy is confrontational, disrespectful, and completely devoid of professionalism. Accidents happen. Cleanup is part of the job. Treating nearby residents like obstacles instead of people is a choice. This company's driver showed zero accountability, zero restraint, and zero basic decency. I've been a loyal customer to Metro 25/ Troy Auto & Truck Center for at least 4 years now. Evan and the rest of the staff have been SO incredibly helpful every single time I stop in. I've had many oil changes (all purchased from Groupon) and these guys go out of their way to make every experience wonderful! I bought a used car 2 weeks ago and the first thing I did was brought it to Metro 25 for an oil change and inspection. They put my car up and we walked around underneath it as they explained the most important work that needed to be done (Brakes, rotors, and a new tire). I got my brakes and rotors done right away (by a family friend mechanic) and ordered a new tire on Amazon. I brought the tire back to Metro 25 and they put it on for me for $20 and also took a look at the check engine light. I will continue to bring my car back to Metro 25 as a loyal customer. Wheel bearings, tie rod ends, brakes, alternator, battery, fuel pump,axle replacement and engine cradle replacement. Normally I don't leave bad reviews, but my experience with Troy Auto & Truck Center has been so bad that I feel compelled to warn others of their incompetence and bad service. I initially made an appointment to have my truck diagnosed which was blowing white smoke and running rough. Despite waiting a week for the appointment, they didn't look at my truck for so long that the battery died. After replacing the battery, they misdiagnosed the issue believing it to be the fuel filter. I authorized the replacement and after replacing it didn't fix the problem, they misdiagnosed the issue again claiming the problem was the fuel injectors. I authorized the repair and when they got back to me after the replacement they stated that the injectors weren't the problem and that I needed an engine replacement. The only option they gave me was to install a used engine that already had over 100 thousand miles. Considering I depend on my truck to run my small business, I didn't want to take a chance on a used high mileage engine. I informed them that I would rather have a new engine longblock installed which are still manufactured, but they refused stating they didn't do that type of work. I paid the bill of $2500 thinking that I'd at least be able to reuse these new injectors with a new engine. As I was pulling out of the shop with my truck, I noticed that there was smoke coming out of the engine bay! They didn't put the truck back together properly after installing the injectors and I had to wait another day for that to be resolved. I took my vehicle to another shop that installed the new engine. After test driving the vehicle they found it was not operating correctly and diagnosed the injectors as being the issue. They replaced the injectors that were just installed with OEM injectors and now my truck runs great. I took the injectors back to Troy Auto & Truck along with all the paperwork. After explaining the situation and expressing my dissatisfaction at the fact that I wasted $2500 at their business where my vehicle was misdiagnosed multiple times and defective parts were installed, the service advisor said he understood my frustration but he couldn't do anything for me. On their website, Troy Auto & Truck states they'll treat you like family and that they are a leader in integrity, honesty, and trust. What a joke! They are incompetent, dishonest, and don't stand behind their work. If you need to have your vehicle serviced, do yourself a favor and take it somewhere else. Edit response to owner: First you think the fuel filter is the problem. Then you state that you diagnosed a bad injector causing a misfire. Following the replacement of the injectors there was still a misfire. Top notch troubleshooting skills displayed there! I never expressed I received another quote from another shop, I had to find one after you refused to install a new motor. I brought you the injectors when I came back to the shop, but you state that the only way you can test them is to remove the working injectors from my truck and reinstall them. I find it hard to believe that you tested your "high-quality" injectors at all following their installation. If you took my vehicle for even a short test drive you should have noticed all the smoke coming out of the engine bay after you failed to put things back together properly after the replacement. You've displayed multiple instances of incompetence and quite frankly I don't trust you to work on my vehicle at all. To anyone reading this, I ignored the other bad reviews before bringing my truck to Troy Auto Care and I paid the price. Don't make the same mistake I did. read more

STAY AWAY! ALWAYS finding more work that needs to be done on your car and lying about how far "gone" something is. For example, they told me I needed new front brake shoes because they were down to about 20% of the material left. I took my vehicle to another shop and they said I didn't need brake shoes for a long time yet - still 50% of the material left. Metro 25 also said I needed new calipers and that turned out to be a lie, as well. It makes me wonder how many repairs I paid for things that were not yet worn out. I gave them my Promaster van 2 weeks ago and told them to diagnose my engine and told them not to worry about really anything else as it is a fleet vehicle and needed to be put back into service. Dealt w/Scott who was incredibly helpful, accommodating, super friendly, and knowledgeable. My experience there was 100% satisfaction with no issues whatsoever. First off, Scott was very professional and walked me through everything and never tried to push me into getting anything I didn't need. The entire staff was very friendly and courteous and I felt very welcomed. I had a rather embarrassing accident (which I don't care to retell) but Scott was so nice and sweet that I didn't feel foolish at all. Not my first time at Metro 25 was happy with other visits, but today was far from that... I have a Ford Raptor and got the shocks changed, The shocks for that truck are expensive, I got the shocks myself but had them install them, just asked them to try not to damage my old shocks as there was a core charge on them. I was told 3.3 hours to install my appointment was for 10:00am I was back on the road about 11:30 about half the time the book said it should take and what I was charged for. The bill was 412.60 326.70 for the shock labor 59.40 spring install 25.00 Parts That's all fine and dandy more than I expected but it is what it is. So I take the truck on the highway and my steering go away I manage to get the truck off the road without hitting anybody or thing. I examine the truck and find out that a tie rod is missing the nut that holds in on hence no steering control!!! I pull into a parking lot get in back where it belongs and limp it to a hardware store looking for a nut to fit. I had no luck finding a nut that would work and call Scott he was very helpful on the phone and even goes and gets a nut from the ford dealer and has a guy bring it up to me. But the guy shows up without any tools!!!! I go into the hardware and purchase some tools and get the nut mostly on. Call Scott but he was out told the other guy I feel safe enough to drive back to the shop as the kid had the nut cross threaded on the tie rod end. 15-20 mins later the shop had the truck done. Here's where I feel they screwed up... sure the first part was a screw up, we are all human's and people make mistakes either the nut wasn't tight or was forgot... When Scott handed me the keys he says all set see you later sorry for the mess up.... Wait!!!! My wife could of been driving and might not of know how to get the truck off the road without and accident!!!! So I asked what he was going to do about it? he told me it was because I supplied the parts that they didn't have responsibility... I told him it didn't matter if he used new shocks or my supplied shocks he had to take the tie rod end off, and should of been the same result. told him nylock nuts are not reusable should of at least applied lock tite to the nuts.  He said if I wanted new nuts I should of supplied them....lol He did compensate me for the tools I had to buy while at the hardware store.... needless to say I won't be back.... read more

Scott Gaponik helped me out today and he was one of the kindest men I've ever met. I put my story below if you would like details on how well I was treated. Well to start off I would like to point out I have had the worst luck ever the last few weeks. Ranging from personal to medical to financial to car issues I honestly have not been able to catch a break. Well my lovely clunker today decided I didn't need a drivers side window wiper and proceeded to chick it to the vehicle next to mine. Thinking I'm on top of it I had a spare wiper in the back. I put it on at work and think ok disaster avoided. Well on my way home from work in the pouring rain while going 35mph my clunker again decided I didn't need a wiper. I quickly pulled over into the nearest parking lot, jumped out of my car and tried to re-attach my window wiper in the rain getting soaked and cold. To no avail I took off my hair tie and tied it down. I looked up where the nearest auto shop was and it happened to be 2 buildings down attached by a driveway (thank God because I can't see through the wondshield). I drive up and run in and a worker by the name of Scott (Scott Gaponik) was standing there and I told him that I had no idea what I did but I broke my windshield wiper. He walked outside in the rain. Found the problem. Grabbed a brand new wiper walked outside and put it on. Came in. I asked how much i owed him (praying to God it was less than 60$ because that's all I had) and he told me that he could tell I was having a rough one and that he wouldn't charge me. I told him how awesome he was and ran out before i started crying. This is an awesome business and clearly full of kindness. I recommend this place to anyone having car issues they truely understand your circumstances and will help you. read more

Went in for oil change and tire rotation, they broke the wheel bolt nuts and was charged $111 for new ones and labor to remove them. Had to return an hour later because caps fell off. Diagnostic $98 dollars (even though I told them it had been checked beforehand) to find out why my low beams weren't working $127 to fix it, all in all I ended up paying out $468. I was informed by many people that if you have diagnostics done they will deduct the cost if you have it repaired in house. I feel they took advantage of someone who knows nothing about automobiles. Have used Metro25 for years. Service has been "hit and miss". They've made a few errors in the past that could have been very dangerous, but corrected them. However, I'm now not recommending them anymore. I have their coupon book for free or $7.77 oil changes. Because I have a newer GM car, my "free" one costs $35. Supposedly because of the cost of GM dexoil. That oil only costs $5 more for 5 quarts. Total rip off. read more

I've been coming here for over ten years. Service is excellent. Ron, Scott , Joel are the best in what they do. I never had an issue with any of my vehicles once they were fixed. They keep it real by being hone..st in diagnosing my vehicles. Repairing the things that's important at the time and putting off the things that can wait. They always gave me a choice. They make their recommendations and the mechanics perform their job exceptionally well. Though I've moved out of the city I still drive out to Metro 25 in Troy whenever I have a vehicle issue or just for preventive maintenance . They always have great deals on tires.
