He came to inspect, explained his recommendation and we agreed on a price for his plans. The plans he emailed us had the wrong date and project number, and were succinct. It showed a different fix than discussed on site, leading to more emails (Joe is not good at answering his phone). The repair company he recommended sent us a contract that was odd: the insured company was different from the company doing the job. Joe then told us out of the blue that his plan would need to be modified to be accepted by the County for a permit, adding more cost! That wasn't made clear before. In June, we ended up hiring a different company, Foundation Solutions who started from scratch and did a fantastic job: inspection (and they found cracks that Joe had missed), detailed plans of the fixes (that were accepted for permit at first pass), and actual repair. Conclusion: we wasted $ 1400 and 2 months with AQX Engineering (San Jose branch).
