I was producing a very challenging shoot that required importing special lenses from Germany with only a couple days notice. Devon quite literally held my hand through the entire process as this was my first time importing gear. Not only did he exercise extreme patience with my many questions and micromanaging, but he checked in regularly with live updates. Stay away from this company if you want to work with reasonable and professional people. Of course If I could give them Zero star for review. Pay careful attention to their quote. I noticed the "If Applicable" Waiting time $65/hr and when I asked them to clarify, they only mentioned that it has to do with the time they have to wait to pick up my cargo, but did not mention at all that it also applied to the time they take to bring the cargo inside the house. Fast forward, on the day delivery to our place, when the driver came, he asked me where to put the shipments, at that time, he did not mention it will be an extra charge $100 + $65 for each hour. If I have known that, I would have brought them in by myself. After he brought the shipments in, about 20 minutes later, I called the company and told them that the driver is here and Ms. Marlene (the representative) informed me that it will be $100 to bring inside and if after one hour there will be an additional charge of $65. At this time, he was halfway done so I let him continue. So base on my understanding, it will be $100 for bringing the items inside and an additional $65 extra if more than 1 hour. However, that was not the case. They charged $100 plus $65 because the driver took 50 minutes to bring it inside. I didn't know that they will charge an arm and a leg for every little thing. I thought the delivery fee they charged were already included in the quote, but I guess not. Ok, so I agreed to pay for $165 fees. But that was not the end. The driver left 2 pallets (the wood parts on the bottom of the shipments so it will be easier to carry by the lift gate) and they charged me $50 for these pallets, which I never wanted in the first place. But instead of listening to what the customers had to say, they, Marlene and Ashley (the VP of the company), said the driver told them that I wanted it. We never that discussion! In fact, it was very hard to communicate to him at all because he spoke very little English. He just left them there and drove off. Why would I want the pallets for? I don't need them. I asked them to come pick them up otherwise I have to break them apart in order to throw them in the dumpster. After further discussion with Asley, he insisted in a very rude tone that I must pay $50 if I cannot bring the pallets back to them. Why do I have to pay for their mistake? This is outrageous! Film Logic Ocean proceeded to just use my credit card on file and charged me the entire $221 extra fee ($215 + 3% cc) without my authorization. This is unacceptable. Beware when you give them your Credit Card information, if you still want to do business with them after reading my review, make sure to pay them by check. Otherwise, you will be ended up just like me. I can't believe any company would allow a Vice President to be so rude and unprofessional to their customers like that. I hope you'll have better luck than me and find broker that actually respect their work and their customers. read more

I had to ship 50 band uniforms from LA to Milan, Italy in a very short time frame. These guys are awesome! They answered every email and every phone call. I will highly recommend the Film Logic and Nich for your business. When I completed my business with the Film Logic and Nich, I told him that "For you to work for your clients, first, and then for your profit, is the best business model that a company could choose." Before calling Nich, at the Film Logic, I had spoken with a few other places regarding to a fee for customs clearance of a spa capsule arriving from China. The previous agents whom I called they asked me if I had an FDA approved code for this importing item. Obviously, doing it the first time, I had to contact the seller and ask them about it. They sent me a code which in turn I gave to those agents to whom I spoke with. So when I gave the code to agents, they quote me with whatever category the code was placing my item under. I got to be honest, with the new tariffs laws, 25% hike, the clearance fee for my item was more than what I paid for it. Thus, to get another quote, the third time, I found the Film Logic's number and called them. Nick answered the phone and got info about the item and my company. It did not pass a half hour when I received a call back from him. He said that "the code that you gave me is placing your item under the new tariffs laws and so there is a 25% tax charge. However, I did look the specifications of your spa capsule and found another code that can be cleared through customs for free." I was very excited to hear that! The point is this. The previous agents that I spoke with, just quote me what I gave them and did not even try to check it to see whether there is another option that legally can be used to decrease expenses. That is why I said to Nich that his business model is a great one! because it is designed to help consumers first rather than profit first. read more
