I've tried both the pod and party room setups and each were perfect for the amount of people I went with. Whether you're with a group of adults or kids, this place provides a really memorable experience. They did offer military and teacher discounts the last time I visited which was new to me but offered a little savings which was appreciated. Would highly recommend Kubo. That made no sense because they were presented as free, then suddenly treated like a favor when we pushed back on the price. Overall, the experience was frustrating, shady, and completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun karaoke night. Customers should not have to argue over unclear pricing, be charged for time they did not get, or feel disrespected for asking basic questions. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Just go try Eastland Music Studio if you want to have a wonderful karaoke experience! I came here today at 4:50 PM, making it just in time for their happy hour! Mind you, I came alone and independently, something I haven't done in years, and decided to treat myself out to their happy hour which is from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM everyday until August 31, 2026 according to their social media. Happy Hour at Eastland means you get 3 hours instead of 1 hour for the flat rate of $25 for one person and $5 more for every person thereafter (i.e., $30 for 2 people, $35 for 3 people, and so on). Flat rate not per hour if you're within happy hour. How could I not go?! So since I came in at 5 PM I got to sing until 8 PM for $25 only! I've been to other karaoke places like Round 1, Spark Karaoke, EKO Karaoke Lounge, Moxie, and heck I've even had the experience of doing open mic down at Little Tokyo; this place just hits. Good. Their selection is expansive (I'm talking about songs in Korean, Chinese, English, Vietnamese, heck I see Tagalog there too!) I do wish they had maybe Japanese songs for their karaoke machine, but whatever I couldn't find in the karaoke machine, I found on Youtube! Switching back and forth from the karaoke program and Youtube is a breeze, but Michael, the owner who is really cool and chill, and Song, who is very friendly, are happy to show you a tutorial on how to do it if you're new or not! I was greeted when I came in, promptly shown to a room, and then asked if I wanted popcorn, and then asked if I had any questions to let the staff know. It can be daunting going alone; some places won't even let you sing by yourself let alone for their happy hour, but Eastland is seriously where it's at. There was no wait time for me at 5 PM! If you're hungry, there's snacks and drinks available for purchase at the front, popcorn was free! Water is like a dollar, but I brought my own refillable water bottle with ice (during these hot and trying times, it's a lifesaver). There's a fan inside the room, but when you're moving around, you can seriously work up a sweat. Lights can be adjusted! Bathroom is clean and the room I was in was roomy for two people, but even roomier because it was just me~! Seriously, stop reading this review and just go. Give it a chance, you won't be disappointed when you have fun and sing your heart out like there's no tomorrow with amazing equipment that makes me feel like I could be the next Madonna.
