If I lived in LA, this would definitely be my go-to place for karaoke and more likely an every weekend type of event. Words cannot expressed how pleasantly shocked my friend and I were with the premium quality service we experienced at Pharaoh. We had been here a handful of times together over the years whenever we were in SoCal, but our experience this past August really had us sold on loyalty to Pharaoh for NRB (karaoke). We came in pretty late, after a concert at BMO and with my old service dog, probably around 11pm. The first thing we noticed was how nice the security guard was sitting outside of Pharaoh when we came off the elevator to B1. We thought the guard would make a stank out of having a dog enter the floor at all, but he was really polite and directed us through the lobby door. Once we went in, we were greeted by Pharaoh's staff and manager, who welcomed all of us (including my dog) with open arms. Like, literally, wide open, to my dog. The manager actually gave us a room upgrade so that my dog could be more comfortable while we karaoked and we got a generous serving of beer and soju along with our spacious karaoke room. We ordered some midnight snack bites-- Could have been the booze talking, but I highly recommend their sweet potato fries, honestly anything fried or savory there was fantastic and made to perfection. The song selections were massive, all up-to-date, and the system is easy to use (whether or not you use the Korean keyboard or not). Thankfully because we had an upgraded room, our friends who joined us an hour before Pharaoh closed were able to comfortably fit in the room with us and we were able to even finish our song list before leaving, even when we were 10 minutes over closing time. This type of tailored business and kindness to customers is truly a rare find in this modern economy, we'll definitely be back whenever we're in town. Great place for any size group to gather together and have a fun night. The rooms are spacious and well ventilated. All the staff speaks English so it's very accommodating to non-Korean speakers. Our group had a great time and made some fun memories. The reason for the three stars is it was EXPENSIVE! We may have been given a very pricey option because we didn't have "reservations." We had to order food that was included in the package but we just came from dinner so didn't even touch the food. Total waste. The table and parts of the couch was sticky and clearly hadn't been wiped down in a while. The attendants never checked in on us unless we called them. It is not worth $250+ for this place. First of all, my friend group had 5 people and the manager tells us about the $200 package. We're in the area and the cheaper karaoke bars are pretty out of reach, so we agree at the cost since we would split the bill. Song selection is abysmal and awkward with a slow love songs having random Kpop backgrounds with twerking in them. The song selection had more Korean than any other genre and most of the system was in Korean, so luckily my friend figured out how to change it to English. Service was decent. It's not like the server had to come in repeatedly. I didn't like the idea that we HAD to have alcohol when we asked to swap the alcohol for soda instead. At the very end, I'm told by the server that there is an automatic 20% service fee that was added to the bill. The cost was $200 and with the service fee and tax, it went over $250. Excuse me, we saw our server 3 times and neither was it for egregious requests. Your song selection is short, I can't control the volume without checking in with the employees, your food was okay, and you want to add on additional service fees for a $200 package. We were never told in the beginning that there was going to be a 20% service fee automatically. And neither would I put the server in an awkward position when it was the manager who explained the costs to us. We aren't coming back. It's a ripoff. And your toothbrushes suck. read more

Reserved a room at Pharoah on 8/23/25, and may I say that once they got back to me after I reached out with an inquiry, they were quick and thorough with the responses. The instructions gave clear, detailed instructions on where to park, and where to enter, what info they needed, and details of our package. We were greeted immediately by staff and shown immediately to our room. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was good, and the room was clean and had more than enough room for our party of 8. One thing that stood out was that when we told them that it was a bit warm in our room, they adjusted the air so that we were comfortable. The only negative thing I could say is that it took us a few minutes to figure out how to use the remote, but once we did, all was good. Would've been nice if it were a little easier to search (regardless of language) but the selection was massive and up to date. My friends and I got a small room with a drink and food package, at first the drink package we chose was the liquor bottle with chasers but when they brought it out it was very small like maybe 3 shots so we asked to change to the soju and beer. Me and a group of friends went to Pharaoh Karaoke Lounge last night. We showed up around 10 p.m. without a reservation, but they were able to fit us in. This place is awesome. I cannot wait to go back! There is a parking garage literally right next to it. You have to walk a little bit, find the elevator, and go down a few floors, but there are plenty of signs. It was easy to find even though it was our first time. When you walk in, the vibe hits you right away. Lights, music, energy. There were a lot of security guards, and the woman at the front desk was an absolute delight. She even gave us little glow sticks when we checked in. There is a full-service bar too. We booked a private room for six of us. The cost of the room included alcohol and food, which was a great surprise because we had just eaten a big dinner and did not realize food was part of it. They brought out big fried platters, and next time, we are definitely coming hungrier. The karaoke system is not in English, but the staff took a lot of time to show us exactly how to set it up. They checked in on us regularly and made sure everything was good. The room was big and clean. The sound was great. We had a small microphone issue at the start, and they fixed it right away without any hassle. They even had tambourines in the room, which made it even more fun. We had an absolute blast. Honestly, if it was not so late, we would have stayed a few more hours. None of us wanted to leave. This place is well organized, clean, and so much fun. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. If you are thinking about karaoke, even if you have never done it before, you need to check this place out. But once you're inside it's actually a really fancy establishment and very safe. They has like four security guards at the entrance of the lobby checking IDs and escorting people in. they have a pretty extensive music catalogue for the most part. We did wish they had a couple more Spanish songs (we were in a specific mood lol) but we made do with what was available and had a blast. The service was good, the package we got was for two hours and it included three Soju bottles and seven beers plus a side of food to snack on. We got churrros as we had just came from kbbq and wanted something sweet. They were good too! The package was $200 The service was good. The host was attentive and came by a handful of times to check in on us throughout the night. What we didn't appreciate was the additional gratuity fee. Since they requested that we leave a card on file at the start of our karaoke session and they had let us know the price already we figured they would come and let us know when the two hours were up. They came by with the check and had already charged us an extra $40 for an extra hour AND another $40 gratuity fee. We got the extra hour taken out, but the $40 gratuity fee was kind of ridiculous considering that once we got the drinks and everything we were already taken care of and didn't ask for additional things. Now that I have been to Pharaoh's three times I think it's time to finally write a review. The first time I came here was for my partner's birthday. We reserved a large time which could hold 15+ people. You're able to text a number found on their website in order to reserve a room a head of time. The process is pretty easy and straightforward. That giant room was easily the biggest karaoke room I have ever been to. We could have easily fit 30+ people in there. The service and song selections were fantastic! Everyone in the group was able to find something they wanted to sing. Our two other times we had normal size rooms and we reserved one of those ahead of time, while the other time we did walkup. Both worked for us but if you have want to guarantee a room then I could suggest reaching out to reserve. Everyone there is extremely nice and helpful! I had a blast at Pharoah the night that I went. I was a bit apprehensive about going at first since my friend had mentioned there would be 30 people, but eventually my husband expressed that he wanted to see what it was like and so we went. Surprisingly, around 50 people showed up! I mean, good to know that they have the capacity to host that many people if you need a place for late night outings that's still somewhat intimate. It's kind of hidden, but Pharoah Karaoke is located on the corner of Wilshire and Serrano. I don't know what it was like pre-pandemic but the vibes were absolutely fire for me because I loved how outrageously bright it was and it had like this EDC/Super Mario vibe because of all the colorful lights and fun décor. It's visually stimulating so if you're the type of person who doesn't like stimulation overload, this might not be the spot for you. Location-wise, it's not easily locatable unless if you are looking for this place specifically. It's in the same building as the golf range. We were able to park in the Aroma Parking structure next door--which was only $2.00 with validation. After I parked, I went down the first level and there were doors that lead up to the building and then you'll see elevators to the right. Went down to the basement, where you were greeted by hosts. I'm not 100% sure if this place is reservations only, but my friend John had to because of how big our group was. He probably booked the biggest room for all of us, which came with buckets of alcohol, soju, drinks, and I also recall there being food / snacks in the room. You have the choice to order more food/drinks if you want, but because we were there for activities, we went straight to singing. I'll admit, for a large room like we had, I was surprised they only had two mics. I understand that's normal, but I think it would have been great if they gave you the option to have multiple mics especially for larger parties. In addition, I think the remote that we had to use in order to input the music was a bit difficult to use. Luckily my husband is Korean so he was able to help with everyone inputting their songs in, but I'm sure it was unfair for him being pulled away from whatever he was doing. I feel like there should have been easy instructions somewhere to help you use the remote. Those were my only complaints about this place. It's one of the better karaoke spots I've ever been to. Maybe it's the flashing lights that did it for me and the people I met that made it all worthwhile... I will admit, this is probably my place I'll host an event with my closest friends as I know they'll also have a blast. Other things to note: Bring your ID's as it's only 21+. They incentivize you to post something on social media--if you do so, I believe you get a free drink (one per room). Also, the bathrooms have toothbrushes, so after a night of eating raw garlic with your KBBQ--you can brush your teeth there. Not that I did but at least they've got you covered. Staff is very friendly and the customer service is decent. The one other downside of this place though, is how pricey it is. Some people in the group have mentioned it too but we all came here to have a good time. Unless you are hosting a big party like the one we attended, it might not be worth the atmosphere.
